The staff on the early morning shifts at front desk are absolutely horrible, bad customer service and just no customer relations skills. I felt so unwelcome and didn’t receive any useful information.I came in twice to ask about membership as I was so keen to join such an incredible facility and the lady I spoke to told me “to look online” and then continued to look at her computer. I looked online but still had a few questions. The second day I came in again to train, I asked again just general questions, I was handed an iPad to look at and he said the iPad will tell you!! Like I know we’re in a pandemic but come on man it’s not hard to treat people who are new to your facility with a welcoming attitude or even a smile. I have worked at big gym facility for 6 years, that’s 24hrs so I know it gets overwhelming but regardless of how you feel, back your energy to suit the image of your gym, fake a smile for crying out loud! People feel welcomed, they feel excited to wake up early for training when they’re greeted by staff members that actually love their jobs.I love the setting of your facility and I love the energy the members set but the staff need better training on front desk manner.

The Vasa employees at this location do not respect their members! Members are paying a monthly fee to use the facility! The Vasa employees disrespect customers by turning off the basketball court (but not the racquetball court 🤔) lights 15 minutes before closing. If courts are closed 15 mins before closing, members should be notified! As I previously stated, employees turn the lights off for several minutes to “notify” members before closing. A flick of the lights is understandable, but several minutes and at the 15, 10, and 5-minute mark for several minutes is excessive. If this was a free gym, I could understand; however, once again, members are PAYING to use the facility until closing! I believe it’s outrageous, and I think it’s disrespectful and needs to be addressed immediately! Also, I understand that there is a high turnover with employees; nonetheless, customer service training on properly treating paying customers is also needed!

This gym has been great. Everyone I've meat there is nice and always willing to help you out or spot you if you need it, but all the bars are always all over and places and a lot of people do put them back and don't re rack the weight. Besides that all around great gym.

Pros:I love the classes at this location, never too crowded and the instructors are great. In comparison to Riverton/Sandy locations where the HIGH classes are always packed this is a nice hidden gem if you’re looking for the same caliber of classes without the crowd.I also like the diversity of people at this gym. I feel welcome and anyone of any fitness level is welcomed.Cons:This gym needs better equipment. The free weights are never available. The most used weights such as 10lbs and 15lbs are in such limited quantity you can never find them. This has been ever since I started going here, almost 2 years ago. Also, the hand sanitizer has been taken away at the self cleaning stations, and is now available for purchase for $2 a bottle at the front desk. (The hand sanitizer when you leave is still available, at least). Also I don’t see staff cleaning machines anymore like i did in summer and fall of last year.

I’ve been going there a for a short bit now and I really enjoy it. I’m always excited to go there and get a good workout in. I can’t think of anything negative about the gym and I hope it stays that way. I also hope to set up a better routine and go more consistently.

WHY DID YOU LOCK UP THE WEIGHTS IN THE AEROBICS ROOM?! I liked this vasa but they locked up the free weights in the aerobics room which I find extremely annoying seeing I pay for a pass here yet can’t use the weights. If the reason is that …

Wanting to help inform would be members before making a very expensive costly mistake. Vasa is the most expensive local gym offering nothing extra for the very high cost of membership. What I thought was going to be a low cost of $21.99 a …

I had surgery on my foot back in November. Because of this, I've had to temporarily stop the classes I was taking. My doctor said I could do floor exercises with weights as long as I didn't put full body weight on my foot. I started using the weights in the aerobics room when there wasn't a class in session. If there was class going on, I would go in and take a couple weights out to the free weight area. I realized doing floor work in the free weight area was getting in people's way so I started going to the turf area. The problem with the turf area, is that there's hardly any weights to use. Maybe two or three weights for the 10 and 12 lbs. If someone was using the weights I needed, I would ride my knee scooter back to the aerobics room and grab the weights I needed and then ride back to the turf area to do my workout. On Monday of this week, I went to the turf area to do my workout. There was only one 12 lb weight available. I rode my knee scooter back to the aerobics room to grab another weight but the weights were locked up. I went to the front desk. They told me they couldn't unlock them. They told me I could use the free weights or the cowbell ones. I went back to the free weights but they didn't have any 12 lb weights. It jumps from 10 lbs to 15 lbs. I went back to the front desk and they basically said, sorry. There was nothing they could do. One gentleman did go search the floor for another 12 lb weight but had no luck. I finally went back to the free weights and grabbed two 15 lbs weights and wheeled them to the turf area. What a hassle! If they are going to change something like locking up the weights in the aerobics room, then they should be prepared in each area of the gym with sufficient weights, etc. It was already a hassle to bring weights from the aerobics room to the turf area but I was willing to do that. Now, not only do I have to take them from the free weight area and wheel then to the turf area, I also don't get to use the weights I want to use (the 12 lb jelly weights). I have to jump up to 15 lbs, now.

Very shady billing practices. They charge an “annual” fee to keep their prices down (Really guys? can’t include it with the monthly fee?) and insist on charging that along with their normal monthly fee even when you couldn’t get into the gym properly during this Covid outbreak. You could’ve “saved” a bit by pausing your monthly membership fee for 3 months once a year. Which is the only recompense they give you during this Covid thing.Guys, if you want to retain and get more customers, along with being a morally acceptable company try to put your price point up front first. And understand customers frustration of not being able to use something but still getting charged for it.It feels more like a contract than a membership which I don’t appreciate.Aggressive salesman and cancellation fees are also very off putting. The 2 star rating is only because they have nice facilities and great hours to workout.
