Good enough to work. Bathrooms are usually pretty gross. Lots of broken equipment. All the best equipment goes in the private client training room while many broken benches and cables are left for us regular folks. Most of the trainers are on their phone while “training.” The staff is really friendly. I wish I could find another gym, but this is the only option by my house that has the equipment I need. It’s good enough to work, but definitely not great.

The people that work out at VASA are incredibly inappropriate. Equipment overall is great though. We just heard too many inappropriate remarks while working out. Not a good place for women who are in shape to workout. Too many dudes on steroids too. My husband was stared at a lot too. We are both in great shape and it’s just awkward to have people staring all the time. Inexpensive so that’s a plus but many of the people there are immature and need to learn how to humble themselves and learn the value of respect. Just because it is a gym does not mean we have to reflect to the superficial. It’s better to have a sense of pride and reflect on the deep. Staff was very friendly and helpful though. Trainers always seemed very energetic too. Sorry to leave the poor review. It’s primarily about the people who workout there.

Positives: With the renovations, the equipment and the facilities are very nice and very clean. Auto payment makes things easy. I've read a lot of the reviews, and the ones that complain about "hidden fees" must not have read the contracts they were signing. Everything is very clearly spelled out in writing. I've had to cancel my membership before due to time constraints, and they gave me no hassle, didn't pressure me, and I had no fees because I'd been there a year. They let me rejoin without any extra fees because I'd been with them for a year. When my credit card number was changed due to some breach at the bank, and I was late on my trainer payments, I went in to explain the situation and they removed the late fees immediately. The manager is extremely friendly and professional. He's personally addressed any issue I had and followed up to make sure I was happy.Trainers: My first trainer wasn't a good fit for me so they switched me to another one who was fantastic. Felipe Christie is THE BEST. He was extremely helpful, and my daughter really gained a lot of confidence working out with him. Super patient with her. He's probably one of the nicest people I've ever met. When I had to cancel training sessions, no hassle from anyone. I send my 30 day advanced email notice and called the company that manages the training cancellations and they processed it within a day. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing shifty or hidden if you read the contract. If you don't, that's not really the gym's fault.Improvements: Bathroom could be cleaner during busy hours, and I wish they had more mats in the turf area, but those are pretty minor complaints. I wish people in that location would stop stealing dumbbells, but not much you can do about that.

Despite being a large facility, it's difficult to find available or working equipment.Staff:The front desk staff are friendly are helpful when called upon. Though they are rarely needed, someone can always be found at the front desk.Wi-Fi:The internet service is free, but unreliable; even during slower business hours, the connection is poor and unsuitable for streaming YouTube, Netflix, and even Spotify. Do all your research beforehand and download your videos at home because it's likely that you won't even be able to load a Google search using the free Wi-Fi.Equipment:There is a vast assortment of machines for weight training and cardio, but there is only a small amount of free weights available (3-4 pairs of each weight increment). The small quantity of weights and the high frequency of broken machines means that you'll have a hard time trying to find what you're looking for to complete your workout.People:There's a really diverse crowd that goes to this location; from the most out of shape individual whose trying to improve their health to the most jacked of Hugh Jackman-esque people, there's a bit of everyone here. So you don't need to worry about fitting in or standing out if you're uncomfortable exercising in public settings.Summary:The inability to complete your workout while on site is counterintuitive to paying for a gym membership. Hopefully the Vasa location nearest to you is better than the one I've described here here. If not, you're better off looking for another gym, even if it costs more; it's not worth spending your money on something if you can't even use it.

The gym is very good and I am excited to start here. I will say their payment website is confusing and I was not explained to clearly of how payments will work, meaning if my payments, specifically my annual fee, will automatically be …

I was so disappointed here today, when I used to have my gym membership all the staff greated me kindly. Today I went as a guest and the staff was really rude, the manager gave me a very unpleasant look. And did not let me into their class, to enter I had to sign up for a membership (which I clearly have no interest in due to all the hidden fees and them charging your bank account with out prior authorization or reminder, and the cancelation process takes weeks to process). I went because a paying friend asked me to join her today as a GUEST and I thought it would be fun. I clearly ended up going home.

Took my 16 year old in to sign up. General Manager helped us and didn't inform us about the $50 yearly fee that comes out two months after you sign up. Two days later a special offering $0 down came up. My other son and I went in to sign up and I asked what we could do to help my other son out. That is when I found out about the yearly fee and they wouldn't discuss maybe refunding my son's money who signed up two days ago. Poor customer service but I am impressed with the gym, media room and overall enjoy it more than our last gym.

We joined in hopes getting in better shape. What we got was a continuous "up-sale" on everything they have. When I tried to cancel, I was told it would be a $25 per account early cancellation fee within the first whatever months. We haven't even used our memberships and continued to pay for months thinking we'd find time to go. I tried to cancel over the phone, and was told I have to cancel online. So, I go online to cancel, which you cannot do from the regular website, and after all the forms and surveys find out you have to post a written 30 day notice. Not only that, you have to pay more money per account to cancel. If Vasa is so committed to helping people feel better about themselves, how come they're so good at ripping people off. I would not recommend joining their gym, especially with their "only so cheap a month" promotions. You end up trapped in a situation where it they rob you.

We have mostly good experiences, love my trainer Garrett he is very good at getting one motivated. The manager sucks months ago we wanted to change from one membership to two, not to cancel just to change the one and add a second membership, so more money for VASA, but he treated us so badly and insisted we be charged a cancellation fee even though we were not canceling. I am still upset by the whole ordeal and we still only have one membership because of it. I would recommend the VASA to anyone but just stay away from the nasty manager at my location.

The gym itself is well kept, and extremely clean. However when you go to cancel you are in for a world of hurt. It has been a ten month process and I have been passes around from person to person. This has ended with Vasa reporting my …
