Great gym selection just always busy busy busy no matter when you go. They need a LOT more free weight benches and adjustable benches to use. You have to literally wait in line just to use them because they have too many machines Noone uses and too few benches people want and use all day long... are you listening management?

Rachel Bass is the best trainer at Edge Westland! Made me feel like family from her first class. My self confidence has gone up because she has amazing classes. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Unfortunately had to cancel my membership with the gym. The gym has been overwhelming packed with people who just go to talk and take up machines for an hour. Some are just sitting on their phones while some of us have been working all day and just simply want to workout. It’s sad bc the gym had great overall amenities and equipment and the price is amazing.

Where to start…. First off if you’re gonna sign up know that you will be stuck in a contract for a year. And if you wanna cancel you have to have doctors note…. Which is ridiculous.. but if your contract ended and still wanna cancel you have to go through 4 loop holes. Call the gym they’ll have you call their company, then the company will have you call their billing office… after that you have to get an email from them to cancel… it’s joke how they make it hard for you to cancel.Another big issue is that it’s always over crowded… I can never get a workout in. Always have to wait 15 min just to get on a bench and squat rack… too many kids walking around with tri pods/ selfie sticks, getting in your way literally stand in front of dumbbells taking pics… the staff doesn’t really care how you feel about the gym just you signing the contract and paying. Most of these 5 star reviews you’ll see are people that work there….I highly suggest go to Farmington edge than Westland if you actually wanna workout or don’t at all.

Not a huge fan! They have decent equipment but they are always so busy. There are no machines to use no racks. You need alot of time to complete a workout! There is always a wait for everything. I wish I could cancel but with the other reviews it's looking like that's a mess too.

Ridiculous tried to settle my account because I got a new credit card and forgot to update ..they tacked on so many fees that weren’t apart of the contract. I called for months asking for an itemized bill To explain charges they hurried up and wrote it off to a credit agency… soon as you try to cancel they give you the run around…do not sign up here … the bill is now 3x what it should be they are scammers

Micah gave me the best tour I’ve ever had at a gym! The tour was thorough and lively. I appreciate Micah for asking me important questions about my goals and what I’m wanting to accomplish. He has me right on the edge of joining Edge! Thanks Micah!

Let me start this review and say this is an EDIT and I was a "Founding Member" which just means I signed up before the location formally opened to the public. Not that means anything because the rate I once had (27.99) was only good for the first year of my contract. If the rates go up for the people initially signing up, so do yours, once the contract you have needs to be renewed or is somehow voided. This particular location used to be one of the best gyms around, and honestly still is. For the price and type of equipment, It's hard to beat. If you're into powerlifting or body building, this place will suit your needs. If you're just starting out, Edge will still have value for you. It's amount of equipment goes unmatched by the competition.Just understand that the location itself is lack-luster at best. Things go unrepaired for weeks, the state of the gym as far as cleanliness goes leaves a lot to the imagination. Trim on the dividers between the treadmills and machines are typically broken, some of the cardio equipment has broken handles with wires exposed, and the cable towers are in constant disarray. In the men's locker room, one of the locker doors is missing, the counter attached to the wall is about to fall off, and ceiling tiles are moved and just sitting on other tiles in the restroom area for some reason. If you can see beyond all the chaos, this place can work for you.Overall, Edge is still an "okay" gym to workout at. I will say the culture both inside and outside of the front desk has changed drastically, and notso much for the better. The vibes are definitely off, but the powerlifting/bodybuilding aspect for me personally remains outmatched. If you value equipment at a decent price and are willing to overlook the things I've listed above, Edge will suffice.

You know this place sucks when you go back to Planet fitness. The location is always dirty, never any cleaning supplies around. The staff doesn’t keep cleaning supplies stocked, they don’t greet the members on the way In Or out, the staff is lazy, never see a single machine wiped down by any worker ever. Bathrooms are always disgusting to the point I could throw up. Plus they lock you into a contract because they know it’s so trash you’ll wanna leave after the first week. They have no covid precautions, the staff doesn’t even wash their hands after walking out the restroom. Abunch of dirt balls
