The Metro Location on McCloud has gone downhill since covid. It was great for so many years but now it's become a slum. The women's dressing room and pool area are dirty, smelly and becoming a hazard. The hot tub is rarely working, steamroom has been shut for over 2 years and the floor of the sauna recently had gum wrappers and used water bottle on the floor. Sadly, it's finally time for me to give ot up.

Great place if you love old man sweat! If you go during a weekday, you'll find lots of old men who don't bother to wipe down their equipment after they're done and the employees won't do anything about it. In fact, I've never seen an employee cleaning the machines themselves despite being there nearly daily and at various times. Instead, you'll find 3-6 employees standing around the front desk hanging out. They don't bother to refill the paper towels or spray bottles. For what they charge, you can find newer equipment, better services, and cleaner facilities elsewhere.Edit: I know now why it's as dirty as it is. Your "Detail" guy with the beard and arm tattoos has been following a woman around the gym flirting with her. Poor girl looks super uncomfortable. Oh and the other 4 employees still standing around the drink fridge gossiping. Not sure what you'd need to contact me for, it's pretty clear from the reviews the issues. Maybe staff a manager who has more experience than a few years out of high school?

The GM was very nice, but the way their associate was speaking to me was extremely pretentious, condescending, and disrespectful. Not to mention that they wanted to charge a bunch of fees, so it just seemed overall expensive just to sign up. Maybe next time. I'm giving it two stars because the manager was sweet. You should hire more respectful people.

Most of the staff there are very professional and friendly. Tried to buy a drink that cost $3.50, handed the girl $4.00, and was told I would have to be ok with not getting .50 back because they didn’t have change in the drawer! Not the first time that happened. The girl who was working the front desk was talking on the phone and was very rude when I said I was not ok with that. Why do they sell drinks there if they are not prepared to give out change???!

I did not use the gym during Covid because I was high risk. I came back July 1. I specifically called to ask if the water area was open and working and I was told yes. So I came in and re-signed up only to go to the back and the Jacuzzi is not working nor was the steam room. I was told neither will be offered anymoreYou advertise that you offer those amenities and you don’t. False Advertising! You may wanna update your websites. A lot of people use that water area as their therapy. I am not a fan of dry saunas. I was very disappointed…,..

Absolutely horrible customer service. COVID-19 showed their true colors. They shut down the childcare which was the only reason I chose this gym membership of $40 instead of planet fitness at $10. I haven’t been able to go in months because of this. They won’t work with you whatsoever. Freeze your account for $10 per month or $100 for canceling your membership. If they can’t provide half the services they shouldn’t be charging full price! There is no corporate phone number to call they send you right back to the store number or just don’t answer! I will never ever go to a defined fitness again! Waste of money!

Not a bad place to workout but very poor communication during the pandemic. Just turns your account back on whenever they would like. Not once contacting to you say your payments aren’t going through or that they even were going to start billing again. Not one email or call concerning my account status. Then to come find out. It’s been going this whole time and You own 6 months of payments. Not even a bit deal I would of paid it if I only knew they were trying to take a payment. Not a single email or call concerning my membership. Not a great way to run a business. I’ll have this mess taken care of and off to Sports and Wellness I go..

I purchased a day pass at this gym. Honestly I thought it was pretty alright but this location has been spamming me non stop trying to pressure me into a member ship. When I first bought the day pass the lady spent 10-20 minutes trying to convince me to buy a membership instead of the pass. Refused to give me back my ID claiming "its policy to hold it" then spent another 10 minutes trying to get me to buy a membership when I picked up my ID. I would think that a simple 'no' would of been fine.

Just started going to the gym again. Love coming here in the morning due to the availability of the machines as defined can be pretty packed around the evenings. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Best location I've been too and better than competitor gyms.

I’ve been going to this gym for over a year, and I’m realizing how they hire younger people to work the front desk at night...they seem like teens who don’t really care to be polite or professional. This one girl working said to me “can you get out?” when I was in the locker room and they needed to close it so they could fix a toilet. That’s just plain rude. I would appreciate a higher level of customer service especially from a gym that prides itself on caring for its members. The bathrooms are also very dingy and don’t seem to be cleaned often. I like defined, and I’m going to consider switching to another club location.
