This gym is by far the most greedy institution of its kind. After a bad experience at their club I requested to cancel. They will not do so without assessing fees that amount to half a year of membership dues.I asked the club to work with me take dues already paid as sufficient. They are threatening to send me to collections. No other gym in town will hand you a 7 page contract. I should have known better. Buyer beware. In this time of economic struggles do you really need to give your business to a facility that will not work with you and costs 2k per year?? Consider other options. Never again.

The staff doesn’t explain the cancellation policy at all, so here it is. If you cancel there is a $150 fee, if you cancel within a year. And it doesn’t matter the reason. I cancelled because I was uncomfortable with the fact that cell phones are allowed to be used freely in the locker rooms and sauna. They have a rule that “you aren’t allowed to video or take pictures”. But of coarse anyone with a brain knows how easy it is to film without anyone noticing. And that people who would do such a thing are not going to be honest about it. There was no compassion whatsoever from the staff about my concern. The signs about cell phones aren’t clearly posted, or posted at all that I could find. And almost every person in the sauna had a phone out, either watching videos or making a call. Maybe I’m the crazy person who believes in privacy in a locker room. They also don’t prorate the month when you cancel, so I signed up on February 4th, and cancelled on March 3rd, and am forced to pay for the month. Plus the $150 cancelation fee. So it cost me $350 for three visits to the place , and when I realized how the rules were handled I cancelled. Nickel and diming is their specialty. I’ve never had service that bad anywhere.

Very nice facility with good equipment, just make sure you don't go after work because there isn't that much equipment. 2 flat benches, 2 incline benches and one decline benches which were always occupied. I'd recommend going late at night or early morning/afternoon while everyone is working.

This is a bright, clean gym with many amenities and a variety of classes. I look forward to exercising here.It would help me if they removed some equipment and opened up more floor space for HIIT-type workouts.

I enjoy working out at the Alaska club West. My only beef is the choice of the music. I prefer listening to soft rock ‘n’ roll when I work out and not the type of music that’s been playing.

I only wish there were more women’s bars in the general lifting equipment, for grip safety. Edited: comment on the numerous TVs appears addressed.
