This is a bright, clean gym with many amenities and a variety of classes. I look forward to exercising here.It would help me if they removed some equipment and opened up more floor space for HIIT-type workouts.

I’ve been going to the Alaska Club West for 5+ years and it’s become a part of my daily routine. The gym has a friendly atmosphere with plenty of space to get your workout done. Throughout the pandemic, the Club has maintained a clean environment with towels always available. One area many of the members would like to see improvement is extending the hours of availability for the Sauna, Steam Room, and Basketball Court. We would love to have the hours open past 8pm again. This would provide more time for people after work to enjoy the amenities. One last unrelated comment is that this gym has the best water fountain in town!

The best place to come and train is over at the Alaska club west. I’ve been to other Alaska clubs and this one has all the equipment you would need for weightlifting and has amazing customer service! While we were here visiting they extended our membership because we were stuck since our ferry kept getting canceled. I had an awesome workout and enjoyed the company of the kind staff, don’t miss out on coming to Alaska club west!

I live near AKClub West, appreciate that it is open 24 hours around the clock. Membership professionals are friendly and attentive, and the front desk staff is also quite friendly. Most of all, my praise goes to the fabulous yoga instructors who offer a range of classes and who welcome and encourage all levels of participation. I have become a yogevangelist and encourage anyone and everyone to add the practice to their lives. It has helped me avoid back surgery and recover from knee surgery and has alleviated chronic pain I used to feel in my shoulders and ankles.

Erika was really kind and helpful when showing me the facility. She was very enthusiastic, friendly, and informative. This location is nice, clean and has childcare for your little ones while you go get a burn in ✊🏾 Not to mention a Women's only section of the club which allows a spot for my girl to feel comfortable by herself. 5 stars …

I prefer the Alaska Club West over any of the other Alaska Club locations. I typically go around 6:45, 7am - it’s it’s just around the time the early risers begin to leave, and it gets a little less crowded. The staff is always friendly and does their best to greet you as you enter and exit the building. It’s more spacious in the free weights area, than any of the other locations, and it’s easy to make friends with other community members. It is a welcoming judge-free zone. I really appreciate that the club is always clean, locker rooms are kept well, and there’s not a single “messy” area of the gym. When bringing a guest, I bring them to this location specifically because of how spacious it is compared to the other clubs. Super satisfied with the service. Keep it up Alaska Club West!❤️

This club is by far the best cared for club in the circuit. Alaska club has taken advantage of the poor competition in clubs for years and passes the expenses on to us. If west had a pool I’d only go there. AK club south the supposed “Nice” one is dirty and often shabbily resembles an elite club. Poor show for the most part. Nice work west in keeping with what the AK club thinks it is.

They are out for every last cent. I’ve never membered at a gym so desperate. Please pay very close attention when signing up for a membership. Even though I am now 4,000 miles away, I am still paying $80 a month. UnbelievableI’m very disappointed in you AK Club. You know this is wrong

Terrible customer service. They don't answer the phone, or return calls. They charge for services that you don't want.I have tried to cancel services, but they keep charging.VERY EXPENSIVE, their billing practices are NOT transparent. You will be charged for services you did not ask for.

Just like everyone else has said. Super sneaky with their membership and the fees. Once covid hit they gave me two options. Just keep paying and wait it out or I could suspend my payments but it would extend my contract (They were even sneaker with signing me up for a year long contract that the sales associate said I could cancel anytime, blatant lie and when I told them they said he is no longer working for them🤦🏻‍♂️) by the amount of time I suspended payments.
