Gold's Gym Austin Highland offers a full range of equipment and fitness classes at a convenient location. The gym is always clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It operates from early morning to late evening, providing flexibility for various schedules. Although the gym has many amenities, including a sauna and dedicated cardio areas, it suffers from significant overcrowding due to the closure of other nearby gyms.
This leads to long waits for equipment and compromised workout experiences. While the gym staff and personal trainers receive high praise, customer service regarding membership issues and facility maintenance could be improved.

Not impressed. Smells like feet and BO. Just a cheap college kid gym, overcrowded and regular equipment problems.

Clean gym, nice staff.I've been going here on and off since it opened in this location. I feel like it's the best it's been. It's a great gym for someone who wants to just come in and get your workout in. In the mornings I don't have much problem using the equipment that I want.**Response** I'm usually there on weekday mornings and the woman at the front counter is always friendly. It's appreciated.

Very happy with this gym. Good equipment, clean in all areas and hours of operation are perfect. It is very crowded even early in the morning, but not so much that it interrupts your workout. Overall, this gym is a solid choice and I recommend it.

The Highland Gold’s is very nice. I wish all Gold’s gyms were like the Highland gym.

The staff is friendly but this gym is unbelievably crowded. Lines to get onto stations. Can barely even move around. The only solution is to go in at 6 am.Edit: Weird... all the other reviews get comments from mngmt... Except mine. Also fix the broken cable machines. And get more of them. It is the equipment everyone uses. Not the entire floor of ellipticals that no one uses.

Fix your AC!!! It’s been broken for months!UPDATE: there’s so many people here now that the machines are breaking down. Right now I count 6 machines out of order. 1 has been out of commission for over a month.

I wish the pool was open, they closed it during COVID I heard. The gym is big, lots of parking but it can get very crowded fast. It has something for everyone. The staff are nice as well. There’s also a sauna room.

Very clean equipment, good equipment placement, and various classes available to clients. Manager (Brian) was great to speak with about my goals, personal training possibilities, classes, and other things available at the location.Busy during hours you'd expect, but clientele are respectful of space. If you're looking to get your sweat on then you know Gold's is the place to go and this location is primo

Wasted space and too damn crowded. One of the worst golds gyms in Austin. I’ve never been to a more crowded gym and I usually go around 5pm during the rush but this place was ridiculous. You will definitely be fighting for weights, a bench to sit on, or a spot to stand in, quite possibly like me all three. I ended up leaving before I even got a third of the way through my work out because I couldn’t get to any equipment that I needed to use and I had to keep stopping people from stealing the broken bench that I was using. They only have one cable machine at this location and the entire upstairs full of ellipticals that no one uses even though there’s a big section of them downstairs as well. I swear they only have one set of dumbbells, eat that the only things available for 55lbs and up. The parking lot is so crowded that people park across the street at the hotel just to come inside. It’s even more crowded once you get in.This was by far my least favorite location here in Austin. I will not be coming back. If you’re new to the gym go to a different location because this is not a friendly gym for new people. You will not have a chance to try out anything if you don’t know what you’re doing and if you do know what you’re doing, you probably won’t still won’t have a chance to use any of the equipment you want. And the lockers are shaped weird. I will not be coming back to this location. I actually hated it here and if I could give it negative stars, I would
