Gold's Gym Austin Highland offers a full range of equipment and fitness classes at a convenient location. The gym is always clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It operates from early morning to late evening, providing flexibility for various schedules. Although the gym has many amenities, including a sauna and dedicated cardio areas, it suffers from significant overcrowding due to the closure of other nearby gyms.
This leads to long waits for equipment and compromised workout experiences. While the gym staff and personal trainers receive high praise, customer service regarding membership issues and facility maintenance could be improved.

This gold’s gym is smaller compared to the other ones in town. The parking lot is always very busy on weekday evenings, so as gym equipments, especially the weights area - you can hardly get a bench without waiting on the side for someone to finish. At the beginning of this year I noticed a few equipment has been broken without being fixed for a few days or weeks, like the treadmills, shoulder press machine, etc.The staff is very friendly and helpful though! I just wish the equipment is better maintained and they could add more equipment or space.

When I walked in around 8pm on February 4th I was rudely greeted by the front desk associate, Ethan. He glared at me while I was scanning in and while I was walking by he mumbled something under his breathe at me. Later on I asked him a question and he refused to acknowledge me even though I was obviously talking to him. I would strongly recommend you do not use this Golds Gym unless you want to deal with horrible workers that don’t make you feel appreciated or respected.

BEWARE the credit card charges.Canceled in person by filling out a form, then got an email saying I needed to email them. I did so and they kept charging. The place was far to busy to get a workout in, packed to the gills, and no open equipment to use except for the cardio stuff upstairs. Don't come here if you're planning on lifting weights

This is a good gym with everything you need plus lots of dedicated cardio. The problem is other gyms shutting down and this one is getting the most folks. I’ve never been there when it’s just not crazy packed where I can’t concentrate on a muscle group I want. I’ve been several different time slots. It’s frustrating, and the HVAC can’t clear air fast enough.I try to gauge what the majority are doing and do the exact opposite.

Convenient location, usually fairly clean! People tend to not rerack their heavy weights. When Parking lot looks full, doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a class. This location stays pretty steady/busy all throughout their open hours.

This is a great gym. The equipment is good and the employees here are friendly and helpful. I see people cleaning all the time, especially the managers. Special kudos to manager Rick. Do you ever give this guy a day off? No matter what day I come in I see him there. Thanks for the new weight room where the movie room used to be. That will be a big help with wait times. Keep up the good work.

Great gym! Just wish they'd open the pool back up. Staff is very friendly. Membership renewal was quick, painless, and without extorsion. Good selection of equipment that is promptly fixed if it breaks. Sanitation supplies are well stocked. Member etiquette isn't perfect, but thankfully is missing the royalty that demand to occupy half a dozen stations simultaneously.

Frustrated by the closing of my fave gym on, the one on 183, I set out to find a gym that was just as good. I had always worked out with a 35# bar and I couldn't find either at Anderson Arbor or Highland locations. I met the asst mgr that first day I visited and he said a 35#bar would be ordered! Lo and behold I received an email from the manager, Brian Perry about a week later letting me know the 35# bar was in and ready for me to use. I had also heard at the 183 location that this gym had ordered (at her suggestion)and installed another platform /power rack and sure enough they have two. This is outstanding service and Gold's is very lucky to have such excellent management. It is a crowded gym but now I understand why, with this kind of customer service it is no wonder people want to come here. Now I have a more productive workout with the bar and it will be up to me to make sure I understand the times when it isn't so crowded. I have also experienced much friendlier members unlike the AA location. I recommend this gym 100%!

I like this location but it is usually extremely crowded and so I have to often switch up my workout plan due to people hogging up equipment. I could never use the bench presses nor the one squat rack area because someone has already made a home in it.

It is very difficult to cancel membership they keep withdrawing money from your bank account, I been calling asking them to cancel for about 3 months I emailed the manager more than 5 times. They’re scam, go to different gym. I’m never returning after the hard time they gave to me.
