I have worked out my entire adult life. Without question, the best gym overall I have ever joined. Excellent prices. Excellent equipment. Outstanding customer service. Definitely recommend it.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I am beyond displeased with this company. They screwed up my payments 6 months in a row and then took money after my contract was over claiming that my contract was “active” even though I took the steps that needed to cancel my account. If you value your money and time avoid this place. I am talking to my bank to try to get my money back after they wrongfully took it. Don’t waste your time with this place.

I joined Planet Fitness to escape the expensive monotony that is the overpriced commercial gym industry.I was unfortunately met with the worst membership experience I've ever had, after moving back to WA (my home state) in December of last year and since then I have been lead through a wild chase with Planet Fitness. After going from store to store, calling toll free numbers and stores in WA and OR I was told to mail a letter to cancel the membership I was unable to use for a year.Upon sending the needed letter, I believed I was done with this mess. Until I was charged the monthly fee, after calling (again) I was told that it is "out of their hands" and they cannot help it if they don't get mail. Which makes no sense because it's the only way you can cancel my membership without driving for 5 hours.After being told they'd call me back, then ignored, I have decided to write a review here as well as email their corporate office. As well as take this case public so more people can know that Planet Fitness is just another gym membership trap.Thank you for the less than friendly customer service, see you on my next bill.

Great 1st Day, the staff are all patient and knowledgeable. And I felt welcome as a 46 yr old out of shape female. There were all generations working out too from teens to 70 or 80 yrs old. This is a GREAT location near a lovely peaceful pond to walk around, smell the flowers, see some geese and get some fresh air.

Facility is nice and clean, but front desk staff is awful. Extremely rude and demeaning. If you ask a question, they act like you are the biggest idiot, and respond harshly. Very "judgy" for a "Judgment- Free Zone."Management- Don't turn a blind eye on this. Your front desk staff are brats and are going to turn away clientele. Paying a cancellation fee is so much better than walking in. As a customer service position, employees should be friendly. It's not that crazy of a concept.

No soap in the showers is an insult, somewhat like no toilet paper in the stalls. Ironically, soap would be cheaper than the longer shower one needs to get clean without it. The day I see soap in the shower, this review will change. But more importantly, your service will improve for everyone. This is a common locker room topic, if you weren't aware.

As always, pros and cons.The price is nice, especially for the perks you get as a Black Card Member! Lots of equipment and is easy to use!However, I wish there was a bigger area for stretching, as I feel like I am always in the way of someone walking by or someone also trying to stretch. I think the biggest downside is I feel like I never have a hot shower afterwards. I don’t even come during the busy times (I come late at night) and no one is ever showering while I’m in the shower so I’m not sure why this happens every time.Otherwise, good gym!

For the very reasonable monthly fee there is nothing to complain about when it comes to this gym. Facilities are clean, open 24/7, friendly staff, and abundant parking.I am happy with being a member here

Don’t use the 30 minute express workout because you will never actually be able to do it correctly in order. Every time my fiancé and I go, and I mean every time, someone who is not doing the circuit, will come in, start working on a machine and stay there. There’s signs posted that says the area is for the 30 minute express workout only and that staff regularly monitor. That’s all lies! Not once have I seen a staff member come and tell the people who literally sit at one machine to move. You can clearly tell they’re not doing the circuit too because we’ll be moving to either a new machine or steps and they just stay at their machine while we continue to move. We’ve done the circuit well over 10 times (not just at this location but at all Portland metro locations) and we have not been able to go through the circuit without either skipping a machine and coming back to it later, or waiting for someone to get off the machine. Very, very frustrating.

Really stoked to try out this Beaverton location and was denied at the counter. They said I needed a black card to use all locations and I would have to $5 to use their gym even though Im a member at the Portland location. Our sales rep never told us that but Im sure its in the fine print. I would think they could over look it as we drove 30 minutes to get here and try a new facility but nope, $5 or nothing. Corporations are funny like that. Cancelling my membership now and I will never sign up with this company again. Way to handle it team!
