I wish I could give them 0 Stars because they don’t even deserve the 1. I was charged in April despite the gym being closed to due a pandemic and again here in July with no warning and no intention of ever returning. I have sent several emails and filled out several contact us forms and no one will respond. I will be demanding a cancellation and refunds for April and July seeing as I did not use the gym and don’t plan to ever again. Communication is absolutely horrible and the gym isn’t even worth the price. Poor equipment and no upgrades despite consistent changing of prices without knowledge. Do not recommend ever coming here even if it’s for a free visit.

!!!DO NOT JOIN THIS CLUB!!!I joined Boston Sports Club when I first moved to Boston because they had a free trial and my company has a corporate account with them; I mostly enjoyed it initially. The convenience of so many locations makes it fairly easy to get to and the classes and teachers are fine, though they do sub quite a bit at certain locations and the studio rooms are not all maintained to the same level of cleanliness. Those things didn't bother me too much because the locker rooms are clean and it's a gym after all.BUT the lasting bad taste that will have me bashing this gym until it goes out of business is the way that the employees treat you when you try to ask a question or cancel your membership.* When my anniversary of membership was coming up I decided I wanted to cancel for a number of reasons. Well let me tell you, this was nearly impossible. After 2 months of trying to cancel in person and being either waived off and offered a freeze or told that a manager must be present for me to do so I was so frustrated that I left work early to make SURE that a manager would be present for me to cancel. I waited 30 minutes and then when this woman walked out of the office to meet me the first thing that was said to me was not "how can I help" it was "So, why are you canceling when everyone else is joining?"!!!!! no. no. no. She was rude the entire time, barely made eye contact with me, was patronizing, and did NOT listen when I told her that the front desk employees could never answer questions when I asked, and were dismissive when I tried to set up a meeting with her.Listen. If you're going to blood-sign a gym contract I implore you DO NOT DO IT HERE. Go to Equinox, join a private studio, for goodness sake go ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Planet Fitness or even a walk around Post Office Square will lead to far less stress and will be better for your health. After all of this, I found out that I didn't even have an "annual" type of contract and could have canceled at "any time" HA!!!! But wait there is MORE! When I checked my contract it was full of errors. Incorrect address, incorrect dates of execution, and they didn't even have a copy of my signature on file. I was told I would still have to pay not only the annual fee (for a year that I will not even be using) but for the month that I tried to cancel, and for the month of January because, you know it doesn't matter when you TRY to cancel it matters when they LET you cancel, and then it goes into effect 30 days from then.If you're still reading this, listen. These people are rude, they are not knowledgeable or helpful, and the bottom line is you are just a number and a dollar sign to them. They do not care and no one should pay $70 a month for that sort of treatment.*My experience was mainly at the Prudential location and that this is directed at desk attendants and general management*

The club is great. Super convenient location, plenty of space. A lot of sanitizing wipes, gel, etc. Equipment is in great condition. Service is amazing, I took 5 days free trial from their website and I really enjoyed their approach.I'm taking one star for their weird cancellation policy. After reading a lot of reviews here I've used a special credit card to make sure I'll be able to cancel this subscription when time comes.

Very poor business practices. As others have noted, they required an in-person or letter sent during the pandemic. I emailed them through the link on the BSC website to cancel, but I was told that was not good enough. I understand the contract, but there was a pandemic going around and they should be more flexible. I paid $10 to cancel and they still want one more months membership to meet the 45 day minimum. I was threatened with a collection agency. Not cool and I will fight it and be proven correct. The person at the front desk may have misspoke (as you told me) but that's not my fault. She said I would pay the $10 and would be done. It was also reported on the news multiple times they were charging people while the gym was closed. STAY AWAY!

There are a lot of different types of machines there's a basketball court, a sauna, TV's and a good amount of classes. The gym is usually full though, and a lot of the treadmills are out of order. The people in the gym are diverse and into what they are doing.

This is a scam. I should have never signed up for BSC. When I tried to cancel the membership and they told me my cancelation was successfully, I got charged for 2 extra months. I reached out for multiple times and at the end they said they were going to issue a refund. But just they said to cancel my membership but didn't, I never received any refund after a month. Now, I need to contact to my credit company to refund and Mass Consumer Protection for complaint.

I have been a member of many different gyms over the years. This is the first time I've absolutely loved everything about a gym. BSC Prudential has such an excellent range of equipment and different areas depending on what kind of workout you're doing. The green turf is a personal favorite. Locker rooms are always clean and gym is generally organized except after the busy parts of the day, which is to be expected. There are always plenty of towels as well. Overall, BSC Prudential truly feels like a gym atmosphere where you can focus on your workout without any 'gymtimidation'.

Mixed feelings. Had an email issue that I bought up with three separate staff members on three separate occasions over the course of two days and no one could seem to solve the issue!? Very annoying having the same conversation over and over without resolution. Carlos solved the issue in seconds, so if you're having a problem at this location, I suggest talking to Carlos. Thanks again. Also, gym is very clean. Was disappointed to see 3 machines out of order today especially the stair climber. I wanted to use it!

I stopped by BSC at the Pru this morning to cancel my membership. I’d decided to cancel for 2 main reason – 1) the price went up by $10/month with zero notice (the email for me was mistyped in their system - their mistake) and 2) the showers have been regularly not working which is my only use of the facility. Upon filling out the form, I was surprised to learn that it can take 45 days to cancel! This is totally ridiculous, not market in the industry, and seems like a ploy from BSC to simply get more money from soon to be ex-clients.

$10 cancellation fee plus 45 days of prorated dues AFTER cancelling. I've had to go through many hoops with other gyms before (certified letter, etc) but I've never had such a long notice period (30 days is the longest I've seen) and definitely never been charged to cancel anything. Place was always busy unless I went at 5AM or near closing time. Look elsewhere.
