Convenience, it’s close to home for me. But most workouts I still drive across town to golds gym due to trufit not fixing anything that breaks. There is cardio equipment, machines/cables broken that haven’t been addressed for months and apparently it’s been that way all year. Decent on cleanliness, men’s locker room is nice and sauna works great. A plus is the women’s center and kids area.

I joined a week ago and made a big mistake of giving this gym 5 stars because they asked me to. I signed up for the $10 a month membership, which I mentioned to the young lady who signed me up, 3 times to make sure she signed me up correctly. She was friendly and told me this was her first time enrolling a new member. To make sure she was doing it correctly she called someone on the phone to help her with the process. After she finished I asked for a copy of my enrollment and she informed me that it would be sent to my email. When I checked my email later I was enrolled in the $27 a month membership. I went back the next day to speak with the manager Andre, who was apologetic and professional about the situation. He informed me that I would receive a call the next day and it would be taken care of. After receiving no call. I stopped by the next day and he informed me that his supervisor Rosie said she couldn’t correct the mistake, which her coworker made and that I would have to wait 90 days before they could change my membership. There should no reason why she wouldn’t be able to correct the mistake. This is not how you treat a new member, correction ex member. I cancelled my membership that same day.

I recently canceled my membership but only because I switched to rec which has the benefit of being free for students. During the last two years I've always enjoyed working out here. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend trufit to anyone.

This place has really gone downhill. No maintenance, cables on some machines out since the beginning of summer, treadmills falling apart, bathrooms are filthy- I actually avoid them all together now. Some story was given to me the other day about the repair guy being busy, ok, busy for months on end, I’m not buying it, and if it’s the actual case management should be embarrassed. Cleanliness is essentially non existent. This place used to be managed so much better, not sure what happened, upper management, corporate, who knows, but it won’t survive at this rate. Preventative maintenance, reasonable turnaround time for equipment repair, and a complete deep clean of the facility might help get things back on track.

The two stars I have given this location is for the cycling class that I attend M/W in the afternoon. However, this gym is incredibly frustrating. You have individuals at the front desk essentially just "hanging out" and chatting all the while the gym is a literal mess. For example, no one puts back equipment in the appropriate location which makes it hard to find what you need especially in the weights section.Second, it seems like every week a new machine breaks and continues to stay broken for the rest of the year. The equipment upkeep in this facility is a joke.Third, in regards to classes. It is incredibly frustrating that this gym allows individuals to work out in rooms where classes are held when there aren't any classes being conducted. If they are to continue to allow this practice it would be nice if one of the chatty front desk people did a round to clean up all the equipment that is left over from lazy patrons who use these rooms. Dirty group exercise rooms are frustrating because when an instructor comes to conduct the class, classes will begin later than anticipated because they now have to waste their time cleaning up after the gym when in all honesty isn't their job.Lastly, the cycling room. Cycling is my favorite class that TruFit offers, but the room is consistently dirty, bikes are always broken, people interrupt class because this gym has created a culture that individuals can use that room whenever they want, and it is always hot/humid. We've had several people over the years either leave class early or leave to throw up because of how hot and humid that room is.Overall, it makes me wonder what I'm truly paying $40 a month for.

I have been a member at the local Gold's for a while. Recently, the Gold's gym I was a member of closed. Well, the gym nearest me was a new Trufit. I, at first, rolled my eyes about the new hipster gym as I saw it. I begrudgingly signed up. Well, turns out I was wrong. Not a hipster place, thankfully. This is a proper, well thought out gym. Now, what brought me to this review is the trainers. I have had trainers before and some have provided some results. But the trainer I have at this place is phenomenal. Adrian has worked well for me. He pushes me and I never walk away from a workout without feeling like I am done. I always hurt for the next two days in that good "I really worked out!" kind of hurt. The issue that took off a star for is the machines. Seems there are far too many broken machines for a gym so new. Several pulley style machines have broken cables and several treadmills are broken. I do give them the credit that they work to address the issues as fast as possible. I wish that corporate/suppliers/repair personnel worked a great deal faster. I don't fault the local staff for this one.Overall, I would say this is a great facility for a gym. Get with the trainers. They are pretty solid.
