Attention moms!!!! 24 fitness in Burbank has a policy of locking kids in the bathroom if they have an accident. Think twice before spending your money there! This is my friend's account of what happened:Canceled my membership at 24hr fitness today. My son could not communicate that he needed the bathroom and had an accident. The dumb attendant locked him in bathroom with his sister until I got there. Then threatened me that it better never happen again. Not cool! Nobody puts my babies in the corner. Taking my business elsewhere.

My experience with this gym has been pretty negative, almost entirely. I used to go to a different 24HF (the one in Sherman Oaks Galleria) and paid $30. I really liked it, but moved to Burbank and this location is only a half mile away from my new place. They informed me that this location was a "Super Sport", as opposed to the lowly "Sport" location in Sherman Oaks, so I'd need to upgrade to $40/month for this location. Okay... fine, I guess.Well, it wasn't fine when I realized that this location, despite being a Super Sport, had almost half the equipment that my last location had. The biggest problem is that it only has 1 squat rack and 1 power cage, which amounts to a paltry two squatting/deadlifting stations in the entire gym, a gym which I assure you is very busy at all times. They also only have one leg press. Trying to do a solid leg routine in this gym is a practice in absolute frustration, especially when you see people curling in the power cage (which I've seen multiple times). Furthermore, they are missing a barbell, which seems absolutely asinine to me; they have a T-bar location, flat and incline benches, and of course the cage and squat rack, but at any given time, at least one of these locations is missing its barbell. It's so stupid and it seems no one cares. Then there is the issue of the dumbbells, which are always strewn about in a manner of abject chaos. Dumbbells are never put away in their proper position, many of them are usually missing (nowhere to be seen), and the set-weight barbells are no better. Then, during "peak" hours (4-7pm), there are so many people at the gym that getting a good work-out in is all but impossible. So already this gym has it's problems. The only reason I didn't give it 1 star is because that is reserved for gyms like Planet Fitness. The final straw (and what led me to write this review) happened the other day. My sister, from out of Minnesota, came to visit, and I asked if I could get her in. They gave me a guest pass for 3 days, but when she came in, they told her they couldn't do it because she isn't from California. They asked me who I had talked to and seemed intent on getting him name, though luckily I didn't remember so they couldn't bash him over the head for being the only person there with common sense. I'm not blaming the employees for this; it's just silly to think that only people who live in the state can come visit. What idiocy. So, the manager came over to talk to us, but when I explained the situation (my sister is only here for several days, I'm a paying member, can you work with me etc etc), she assured us that due to "protocol", she couldn't make any exceptions whatsoever. Now, I've worked in enough customer-oriented places to know that this was absolute baloney. "If I gave you an exception, I'd have to give everyone an exception." Bullshit; that's not how it works. Bottom line, she said she just couldn't break company protocol. Well, she's the manager. She can break it; in fact, this was proven, because she "kindly" gave my sister the allowance to work out for that day, and of course she brought up a special menu for guests, and was able to choose any number of days she wanted, up to 10, but of course she only chose 1. Anyways, even if I wasn't paying DOUBLE of what this gym was actually worth, I don't feel right giving a company that practices such ridiculous business practices my patronage any longer.Basically, the bottom line is this: not only is the gym very lacking in terms of raw quality, but the management is also very corporate in nature and not willing to actually work with members. There are other gyms in the area that would be much better and probably cheaper, too.

Thieves and robbers in NOHO branch and they claim they don't have cameras to see who stole my bike locked right in front of the entrance of the club at the bike's parking spot. It felt as if it was a setup. Instead of helping me 24 hour fitness staff were very disrespectful, particularly Chrystal made the incident feel 10 folds worse and they never came out to investigate where bike was stolen from. The neighbor businesses were all helping me out but the staff at 24 hour fitness were apathetic about the incident. I heard that a lot of stuff gets stolen at this gym, even from the lockers... This is THIEF AND ROBBER'S PARADISE!

Staff was rude and unfriendly.I felt un welcomed. not to judge the tear drop tattoo on the face they should evaluate their staff better in interviews if they are going to hire someone. The man was even more in friendly when I wouldn't upgrade to a super membership. I Probably would have upgraded if he was respectful and had some class. Couldn't even say "bye" when I told him i was interested. In upgrading pity full "ok". I didn't even care to see the facility before I consider upgrading. A low 1 star because that bothered me. Such a simple job to simply check members in and make them feel welcomed to a club they pay a good amount of money to work out at.

The locker room is always dirty and smelly. The water in the jacuzzi turns green at times. The free weights are everywhere except on the rack. I asked for a more popular music that everyone enjoys but they keep going back to loud rap noise. One condescending manager even suggested I buy an mp3 player. I told him that owned more than one but refused to use them for health reasons. If you enjoy coming here at 4 a clock in the morning and not get a workout, get frustrated and stressed out before you start your day, pay good money for it, then this is the perfect gym for you!

Absolutely horrible. First off the gym smells like it is riddled with mold doused in chlorine. Just feels dirty when you walk in. I am a member of the sport level clubs coming from out of town, I wanted to work out at this club for the day which is a super sport, I clearly tell them I want a day pass and do not want to upgrade, then they sit me down for 10 minutes trying to sell me on the upgrade. So I would rate this a 1 star on both ascetics and staffing.

I am a member of 24 Since 1998, I have visited many 24 gyms,Recently I visited 24 Burbank,Early Sunday Morning 2am. Noticed 2 Employees.Stephan Hohler and James Bailey. One was at the Counter folding towels and the other was out on the floor returning weights, both were nice and hard working. Gym looked good.

ZERO STARS!I've been a member for two years. They have serious maintenance issues there. The management doesn't seem to care. Most of their treadmills are broken. The incline feature breaks on them frequently so they end up stuck in an incline. So if you just want a level treadmill, it's not going to happen. The heart rate monitor is broken on many of them too. The rope attachments for their cable machines is completely frayed and looks like it will eventually snap and hit someone in the head. Of course you sign a release so that if their equipment hurts you, you are on your own. The most they will do it call a bus. They have grips and things broken on other machines. Their head maintenance guy is some tatted up young stud who seems oblivious to all of this. I don' t think he actually fixes anything. He just pushes his cart of tools around and collects a check. Then there is the lock rooms and shower. I've never seen anyone cleaning the bathrooms or showers. There is so much body hair on the floor that it might as well be carpeting. It's really disgusting. The showers have major lime deposits all over them. They probably haven't been seriously cleaned and de-limed in the two years the gym has been open. Last night I went a about 11 PM. They whole gym looked like a war zone when I left. There were towels and trash everywhere. The locker room was a disaster.I tried swimming laps last night for the first time at this gym. The swimming pool and spa have so much chlorine in them, that I was completely overrun by it when I got out of the water. Even after showering in the disgusting shower there, I couldn't get the chlorine out of my sinuses. I'm wondering if the EPA allows them to chlorinate people that much while they are swimming for exercise. It can't be good for you. It's sad because this gym is so close to my house. I wish they cared but anytime I mention anything to them, they don't. My good friend has his membership revoked after complaining that they charge too much for personal training. 24 Hour Fitness will soon be out of my life.

On of the great 24 hour gyms that's out there. They just opened the new 24 hours sport fitness in Burbank. I have to say it so far they have done great job. Not just its new, they have great staff that can help you on everything. I have asked few question about some exercises and they have done great job by not just answering. They have showed me how to do it. It is very clean as well. The lockers are clean and brand new. So, far so good.

This is the best 24 Hour Fitness I have been to. I am including the new North Hollywood Super Sport when I make this statement. It's clean, easy to move around, and the staff are really friendly. Machines are always functional (which at North Hollywood, I have already seen some that were "being worked on"), and easy to use. The basketball court has a schoolyard feel to it, which is a nice change from the gymnasium feel you are used to getting. If you want to be noticed and look at beautiful men and women, go to North Hollywood Super Sport. If you want a fully functional gym that isn't overcrowded, go to Burbank Super Sport. North Hollywood is a really good gym, and Burbank is a Great gym.
