Planet Fitness

Great place for keeping in shape with some decent exercise machines, but was very disappointed with their TV setup on programming for the members. I asked the person at the front desk for alternative channel and was told it was impossible to switch programs. They have ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN, FOX, CNN, and some other miscellaneous entertainment channels. All the news monitors had Foxnews nothing else... I requested they (Planetfitness employee) change at least one monitor to CNN, but was told they couldn't. Seems there's some bias against alternative views at that Planet Fitness on N Cleveland Ave. Will have to reconsider my family's membership to that place.

I joined this gym a couple of months ago because it was the cleanest one out of the 2 I visited. Now it’s disgusting. There is always trash everywhere, I’ve never seen them properly clean the floors, half their cardio machines are down, their wall clock doesn’t work (it’s the only clock) there’s mold all over the showers and they’ve had a flickering light at the entrance of the mens locker room for about 3 weeks now and it’s yet to be fixed. The only thing I’ve seen workers do is change the paper towels and talk with members. I’ve seen 2 trash cans in the “office” overflowing so bad they just put it on the floor. Seems like bad ownership/management and it’s sad because I like the gym. I’d be surprised if this gym makes it to 2023.September 5 updateI emailed back and forth with corporate about this location after posting the initial review and even got a call from some kind of manager talking about how they were going to do a deep clean of this location after talking with me. I had taken a week off and today was the first day back. The only thing I noticed they did was put in new shower curtains and change a flickering light at the entrance of the mens locker room, other than that, it’s still filthy. There’s mold all over the shower walls, dirt/trash all over the floors (fyi it takes more than vacuuming to really clean the floors) and there’s STILL mold on the water fountains. Also the parking lot is pitch black because there are no parking lot lights on and it’s extremely dangerous for females to walk in alone considering the homeless that often hang out around this gym. I hear the manager quit so let me know what your paying I might be interested otherwise I will be surprised if this gym makes it to 2023.

I love going to planet fitness but they're cleaning products that we use to clean the machines after we get done using them it makes my nose constantly run and I also spoke to another lady at the gym and she said the same thing I think planet fitness needs to change their cleaning products to something different

I have been a member for a year and a half. Love the facilities, but I'm tired of waiting for someone to let me in the black card spa. I time my workout so I can relax on the hydromassage bed. I don't think I should have to track anyone down to set it up. You need at least two people on the floor to solve this problem. One person can not do it all.

I love the staff! They greet me every morning and know me by name, even got my preferences for tanning memorized 😁 The variety of machines is perfect. Only down fall is not having more classes in weekday morning for us early birds to participate in. Other then that... A+++ in my book! Thank PF and team! …

I'm very impressed with Planet Fitness. I have never seen a piece of equipment that was marked "out of order" like so much of the equipment at another gym to which I used to belong. Planet Fitness has a large variety of resistance training machines and a large cardio section. The gym is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. I will recommend it to my friends.

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for over a year. And even though I haven't been going very much at all because of the health scare, I have been paying my membership fees. This morning they deducted a yearly maintenance fee of $41.34 so i called them up and was told I can cancel the membership, but in person and they would take care of the fee which would be for this coming year, so I went up to Planet Fitness. But when I spoke to the person that said he was the general manager, He said that even seeing that I cancelled the membership he wouldn't reimburse the money taken out of my account. I guess they must be hurting for the money pretty bad. Make sure that you check the fine print on their agreement seeing that they really lack in customer service. I also plan on contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Just started back after a break due to Covid. The staff is fantastic and it is very clean. Along with each person cleaning the machines after use their is a staff member going around hourly cleaning all the equipment thoroughly. I was highly impressed. If you haven't been back since the shut down go back and check it out.

My name is Elida and I been loyal to this gym for 2 years. One of the reasons I’ve been loyal to this gym is the amazing equipment, motivating staff. Blake at PF is honestly one of the best of the best. Top tier. He is one of the reason I keep going on this fitness journey. I love his energy and the way he makes me feel & others costumer! Great experience especially for those who starting their fitness journey!

Gym is always consistently clean and the personal are friendly. Caleb works overnight ( since my spouse and I go there at 3 am he is who we encounter the most)He is a bundle of energy, always cleaning, always greets everyone by name and always has a smile on his face.I manage about 20 employees in my current career. I wish I had a couple of Caleb's to work with me. Your people are you most valuable resource you take care of them and they will take care of your business.I'm proud of my gym and I brag about it others every chance a I get.Keep us the good work.Terry S
