24 Hour Fitness at 589 Anton Blvd, Costa Mesa, CA, offers a round-the-clock gym experience catering to various fitness needs. The gym features a three-lane indoor pool, diverse workout equipment, and ample space across three floors. However, multiple reviews highlight significant concerns about cleanliness, maintenance, and overall organization. Friendly and helpful staff stand out positively, yet the operational shortcomings often overshadow these aspects.
The facility's major challenges include equipment disrepair and poor hygiene in restrooms and locker rooms. Staff: Everyone I have encountered up front at check in has been very friendly and accomodating. That was my main gripe in my previous reviews, so I am delighted to say the customer service and friendliness has improved temendously.Gym: The weights are where they are supposed to be - for the most part, reracked. The gym is clean, machines are working; if not they are fixed right away, locker rooms are kept up as well as bathrooms.Gripes:Blow dryers in the women's locker rooms need to be fixed or replaced. 1 out of 4 is actually working the last time I checked.Parking is hard time consuming, grab a ticket and don't lose it because it will be a 15 dollar fee. They stamp tickets at the front. They may be getting rid of their towel service?

*** 2 HR PARKING ONLY *** $1.50 every 15 min. after their 2 hr validation!Totally ridiculous that we have to pay for parking to be at the gym for more than 2 hrs!I'm sorry Alton but I'd rather drive 10 more minutes and go to Triangle Square or 19th Street instead of paying your overpriced parking fees!

I was in town for a conference and did not want to use the hotel gym so I came to this location. I am from Texas and have an all sport membership, thought I might as well use it while in Cali. I specifically checked on google maps and ruled out another 24 hour fitness as it was an ultra-sport, this club did not specify the level so I assumed it was a sport. I showed up and attempted to log in and got the "see receptionist" message. She said "sorry, you only have an all sport package, this is a super sport" I asked what I could do and she said I needed to upgrade, paused for a while and begrudgingly said I could work out this one time here . So, I proceeded to work out at this location, all I have to say is "wow". The equipment was extremely run down and models so old I haven't seen any like it in any Texas 24 hour fitness. the general appearance of the club was also quite run down in general. This "super" sport would never pass for even a sport club in Texas!

I was at the gym on Saturday night around 7pm with my friend. I took him there to introduce to my gym. When I asked the front desk lady (I think her name was Alissa) for a free day pass she refused to provide a pass and asked for 25 dollars!!! My friend is a California resident. I asked for the manager and she said she is in charge. She coverd her badge when i asked her name. I am a member of this gym for over 6 years and i have never experienced such an unprofessional and none welcoming attitude.

For a "super sport" the locker room is straight trash. Waaaaaaay too small with all the offices/ apartments around it, even on a weekend. If it wasn't by a bunch of office buildings and had a pool, it'd be an active. The active off Irvine Blvd has a better locker room. Machines are ok, even if older as some have said.Staff has been pleasant every time I have been there, hence the 2 stars.

Honestly, I don't know why the gym is rated so low. The equipment is more than enough to knock out whatever workout you want. The bathrooms are clean and have saunas (that's big time). The gym itself is a little old and so is the equipment so if you feel like thats the problem, just upgrade to the one on Anton Blvd. The staff is friendly and most of the people working out are pretty respectful

Great place to work out. Everyone is very friendly, both staff and other guests. It is three stories and quite large, so I never have a problem finding the weights/machines I want to use.Pool only has 3 lanes, but it is well maintained. Not too much chlorine like some places.Overall, I would recommend to a friend. Please note, they only validate for 2 hours (it's in a mall where you have to pay for parking). So that's kinda lame if you like to stay at the gym for a long time.

Nice gym. Only 3 stars because they dont have enough light weights (the ones most people use). Also there is always something missing.

It was absolutely terrible. It's 25$ for a day pass and we spent the entire time looking for weights that we couldn't even find. It's also old and nothing is updated. Don't waste your time here.
