I had one of the worst time at this place and then to come to find out after speaking to other about how badly I was treated there except by this one girl that is always there she tried her best to make a bad problem better. This is the norm on how your going to be treated by the personal trainer there. Not nice, not help full guess how long I got out of my hour time with him 20 mins he didn't want to help me at all. Let me say it again he did t want to HELP ME AT ALL.! Waste of my time. I haven't called Corp yet was to upset never do anything out of anger. But, you can believe I will give them a call...Be smart don't waste your time or money

No matter what time of day I go there to workout, there are plenty of machines available to use.The variety of machines is amazing! They've got: treadmills, recumbent bikes, stair climbers, stationary bikes and many more.Any muscle you want to focus on - THEY GOT A SPECIALIZED MACHINE FOR IT: abdominal, glutes, triceps, calves, thighs, et.c.If you like to work out on select machines, you can. If you prefer interval/circuit training there's a room devoted to that as well.Only thing I wasn't thrilled with is when I ask for help on a particular exercise. All employees are more than willing to help! Unfortunately, those I've encountered are not as savvy about how the equipment works, as I would like.Bottom line - JOIN THIS GYM!

Great experience. Front desk food and drinks are a little pricey but the lifting experience is decent for a planet fittness. I would recommend a REAL gym though. But for a planet fitness, its good. It fits in with the whole 'judgement free' thing but then again, every gym I have been to has fitted into that.

Brian and Lamar are incredible. You don’t feel awkward coming here or nervous. You feel like a family member. They do a great job keeping the place clean and helping you with any concerns or billing issues. I recommend this planet fitness over others.

Where to begin...After seeing what great benefits the black card membership has for their price my friend I were intrigued and wanted to come in and check out the gym in person as it is a year long commitment. My initial excitement was immediately gone after being ignored for the first 10 minutes we were there. The costumer service was awful but I decided to ask for a tour anyways. After just a few steps in we were directed to look around the first floor ourselves and then we would have to wait for the worker to come back and finish. Another 10 minutes went by as we waited. The trainer only a couple steps away didn’t say anything to us the whole time. As we left they still said nothing to us. If you are looking for somewhere to be excited and motivated about your fitness journey I would steer clear of this location.

During the summer I came in on a Sunday about an hour before closing, to do a quick 20 minute run. Upon check in I was told they were closing at 7, I’d arrived a few minutes after 6. I told them “yes I know” and got into my run. I understand closing procedures and trying to tidy up beforehand but I had an associate literally vacuuming the treadmill I was using as I was using it. Obnoxious and certainly one way to put a customer in hazardous conditions but ok! I finished my run early and was going to get some quick weights in but the glares from the staff told me to just head home. Having worked in retail for years on countless Sundays myself, I understand the dread that comes with it. But a job is a job.Regardless of the minimal presence of friendliness and service, I’m going to come here for my workouts anyway. Even though what I described was a past experience, it’s important to keep other visitors aware of how they may be treated at this location.** I'd like to update my review! Just like individuals, places of business can have their off days as well. For this PF location, I guess it depends on whose working that day. But my last few visits have been pleasant and the staff polite and accommodating. I hope this is a trend that continues! Thank you.

Thank you for finally enforcing the mask mandate. Prior to this week, hardly anyone wore masks on the gym floor and there was absolutely nothing being done about it. At one point a couple of weeks ago, it looked like a scene from a college frat party with everyone in close quarters and ZERO masks being worn, especially by those under the age of 30. I was so horrified by this that I almost switched gyms. Yesterday, however, I was very pleased to see that staff members were going around the gym floor enforcing the mandate and that now the majority of people were actually wearing their mask. Also, it appeared that staff was disinfecting equipment more frequently. Thanks for addressing these issues and helping us to better stay safe (and to ultimately keep gyms open in CT).With that said, this location has a diverse variety of equipment, the staff is pleasant and the gym is kept clean (except for the shower area that needs better drainage). Overall, one of the better PF locations.

Although I was skeptical about going here at first, I am glad that my boyfriend and I got a membership here. We have been going to this gym for almost 7 months now. The staff there is always pleasant and ready to help when needed. If you ever have any questions someone is always there to help you and answer them the best that they can. They are awesome. Thank you to all the staff and friendly members of the planet fitness in Danbury. It’s also generally pretty clean there, I do my part to keep it clean, I bring my own rag and use the spray that is provided to clean the equipment that I use. If you don’t have your own rag they provide paper towels. The bathrooms/changing rooms aren’t always kept clean but with a small staff, they can not be everywhere at once. As a member, I feel that it is partially my job to help keep the equipment I use as clean as I can.

I like how the staff don't card me anymore after they already saw me from before. Don't expect from the edge. Best planet fitness in Connecticut.

Good equipment and clean place. Some staff are nice and greet customers. Others not so much.
