I've heard Family Fitness let yoga instructor Thomas go. That's a big mistake. He is one of the best yoga teachers I've had. After his class, I always feel so exhilarated and refreshed. If you follow his flow, the class has an intermediate level of difficulty. Because of this, some people may struggle, but he does not expect for everyone to follow. He is very open and always tells people to flow at their own pace. My daughter has been a member for around 6 years and she attended very few yoga classes before Thomas because she did not like any of the instructors. But since Thomas started teaching, she has been going regularly at least once or twice a week as her schedule permits. Now, she is not planning to go again.

Staff do not wear masks per the county and their self imposed guidelines. Social distancing is not enforced. Their guidelines state “ no Customer gym bags are allowed, yet gym gags are throughout the facility. When the issues were brought to managements attention, Peyton the managers response was “ if you don’t feel safe then leave” Esther than correct the issues. Horrible safety and no concern for members health.

I have been a member at this club for 4 years now. The environment and staff are very professional and care about what it is you want and need. Instead of focusing on just numbers they help you get to where you want to go with your fitness journey. I have never met a more passionate person than Praveen. He is there everyday it seems like with no days off. I respect his values and his commitment to making the club as great as it can be. It’s a great place.

Great business scheme - let 25 year-olds manage the store-front while the back-end takes zero responsibility for customer service. Example: I was charged for personal training for March (while the gym was closed and they were laying off trainers) ... The Coppell office is apparently not at liberty to provide reimbursement. I tried calling the corporate office several times and left messages. My call was never answered and no one responded to my voicemails. I would rather pay much more for a gym with reliable customer service than get that type of runaround again.

I have never left a negative review for a business because I genuinely try to be understanding of things, but I have never been so talked down to by a manager in my life. I recently re joined this gym after moving back to Coppell for a brief time after college. While looking for a job, I decided to do training class to take up time, but once I got a job I decided to discontinue my training, in addition to the fact the my trainer left the gym (due to the fact that a new manager came in and was rude to her, which should have been a immediate red flag). Later the new manager called me and asked me if I would like to come in for training again and I told him no since my trainer has left and I don’t have time with my work schedule. I didn’t think of anything of it because I thought I had clearly communicated to him that I was no longer interested. Apparently my training was only “frozen” I started being charged again even though I cancelled my entire membership earlier this month because I moved out of Coppell. At that time of cancelling I was told I’d simply be charged $10 because it takes 30 days for it to take effect. I was out of town when I realized the charges on my account, so I asked my mother to try to clear it up for me. She spoke with Prav, who she described to me as very rude and unapologetic of the misunderstanding. In the mean time I left a voicemail on the corporate office line and have not heard back in 6 days. I decided to call the Coppell location again today to try to clear up the whole thing myself and got him on the phone again. I tried to keep an open mind talking to him despite what my mother said before, but as soon as he realized that he was discussing the same matter to me again he became very condescending and hostile. Told me multiple times that he wasn’t going to discuss the matter repeatedly, he couldn’t do anything about it, and that it’s a contract and it doesn’t matter about a misunderstanding. I’m upset how he treated me in addition to feeling like I was blind sided when I straight up was asked about my training before and I literally cancelled my membership and was still charged for something I clearly was not going to use. He explained that I have until my membership ends to use them (a week and a half and I guess with a trainer that’s I don’t even know) or I could transfer them to my mom’s account however she had an uncomfortable training experience there previously and is not interested (which also contributes to me not wanting to use a random trainer from them) Bottom line, I understand this gym is conveniently located for residents of Coppell at a cheep price (minus the training), but their unethical business and lack of human experience should deter anyone from being a member (or the next victim of their policies). Like I said in the beginning I don’t leave these kinds of review ever, but I feel like it would be a disservice to the community if they were not aware of their sleazy business practices.

Worst experience . I’ve cancelled my membership in March . Suddenly noticed that money was getting deducted from my account and it’s still going on .. talked to local manager at least 4 times, help desk guys 3 times . Today I’ve been told to talk to Corporate. Manager over here told that they can not help in reimbursement. She told me that my membership status is pending cancellation . Now i don’t know what that means . I’ve filled up the form and I have been told by them in March that my membership will be canceled. Got a confirmation mail tooI called corporate many times . Their mail box is full . No one is responding. Money is still getting deducted from my account . I’ve no clue where to go .. it’s money extortion.Worst experience .. don’t go to Texas Family Fitness at all ..

Decent gym with a good variety of machines. Staff is friendly enough- although I’m not one for caring if they “push you” to succeed. Has everything you need for most any lifting routine you are in. My biggest gripe is the lack of cleanliness. Weights are usually all over, not organized. Multiple paper towel dispensers are empty every day which means no one or myself can clean equipment after use. I’ve never seen staff clean anything and most guests aren’t too keen on wiping machines/equipment behind them- I don’t even care about Covid. They could use more squat racks for the size of them gym.

I've been with this gym for 2 years. Very mediocre equipment and the staff doesn't care about you once you've signed up. One day, I asked Eric if I could do the free trial of private lessons, as advertised on the website. He said no since I was not a new member. I said fine and signed up for 12 private lessons for $500. BIG MISTAKE. I did two lessons and barely broke a sweat on the second one (first one was an 'assessment,' so it didn't really count as a workout. I made the mistake of signing up without asking about the cancellation policy because they refused to do anything about my dissatisfaction. So, I moved to Dallas, moved to LA fitness and cancelled my membership. 2 months later, I'm still getting charged even AFTER freezing my credit card. I have since sent in the paperwork via fax 2 weeks ago and they said they didn't get my cancellation paperwork. My membership still hasn't gotten cancelled and I'm losing my mind.

This place is very unprofessional and they are all about money. How could you charge money from customers when the entire world is suffering from Corona virus.I was charged now(August) for personal training for March, yearly charges and monthly bill while the gym was closed for almost 5 months due to global pandemic and I didn't go to gym since then.I tried calling the office several times to cancel but no body was there to attend the calls. Finally, When I asked them over phone in August to cancel my membership I was asked to come in person and I went twice as nobody from management was there to take care of my request.

This gym is terrible the staff member will do anything to try and get money out of there customers. I had the pass where I can bring guest and they told my guest that she had to pay to get in although I showed them my membership. However they began harassing my guest by telling her that next time she had to pay or else they would kick us out. I’m so glad I cancelled my membership there I would go to this gym again only if they get a new set of staff and if they update their equipment and ORGANIZE it. It was a little confusing trying to figure out what machine was what due to the fact that the machine were scattered all over the place.
