"You can cancel on the website!" yeah right! The login, which you have no initial password for and have to set up yourself, looks like it was built by an underpaid developer at minimum 5 years ago. There is no cancel online option and the 'Contact Us' page gives you the error "We're sorry, an error has occured. Please try again later or contact us at ." I'm not even kidding, it says contact us at . I don't have the time to call them and have them try to convince me why I shouldn't cancel. This gym is busy at all times. It's really run down, you can't get on any machines whether it's 6am or 8pm. Only two real squat racks and one smith machine. The other Fitness Connection's that I have been to in the Charlotte area are phenomenal, however, this one is beat. It is an old Gold's Gym and they merged making it a Fitness Connection. Do yourself a favor and find another gym in RTP, but honestly none of them are really great so you might as well workout at home or outside RTP. Go find yourself a cleaner, less busy gym! This place is not great! The employees are really nice and helpful but in terms of achieving your workout goals, you may want to seek another gym with more equipment available for the volume of customers. I don't have the patience, but if you're willing to wait knock yourself out...

The last four times that I've been to this location the steam room has been out of order; I even called and asked if it were operational ahead of time twice, both times being lied to.The apparent "I don't care" behavior of the staff, added with the small size of the lifting floor and huge bro population(a whole lot of ego in a small space) put this gym pretty low for my tastes--it's close to me, however, so I'll continue to use it occasionally for cardio.

They will just want you to sign up when you get in. Be careful. Don't sign up unless it's $0 enrollment. Had worst experience with membership. After using 3 day right to cancel and put on hold by customer care for 25mins, I just let go off $150 instead of wasting more time. This gym is not clean. It is better in other locations.

Terrible customer service. They seem to be only interested in making money. I have never had so much trouble canceling a gym membership - I was told it was canceled via telephone and then months later told that the process changed and had to do it the new way (twice) before I ever got a confirmation. If you decide to become a member, make sure you get confirmation immediately after cancelling so they do not give you any trouble! Fitness world in Durham has much better customer service (as well as classes and equipment) and in the end I ended up paying about the same per month.

I have been going to this gym for over 10 years. A foam roller is an important piece for me, but really it is widely available in any of the 20 gyms I've visited over the past 10 years. I've never once seen them handled with special security except at the RTP FC. The foam roller availability is guarded and limited near lunch/evening hours for the past two-four years. I respectfully got permission from several of the managers over these years, but this takes time from a brief lunch workout and managers are not always easy to find. Once approved, the staff is reluctant to let me use them, policy and management has frequently changed,, and some of the staff is just rude and lack understanding that certain equipment is critical for some people. This is one of the critical pieces for me and I hate feel like I'm begging to use such a commonly available and inexpensive piece.Resistance bands are not available at all (stored in a drawer, that does not seem to allow general access). I've resorted to bringing my own for a year now. Previous bands were guarded and when worn, use was allowed in an unsafe state and were never replaced. In short, the staff should consider their job to make the gym a good place to workout and be friendly. Resistance bands and foam rollers should be made generally available. I suggest spending a little less time on recruiting new members, and a little more doing the simple things to keep current members satisfied.

I’ve been a member here for almost two years, and I love it! I’ve never felt comfortable at gyms, but the staff at FC are awesome. If you think personal training isn’t for you, you’re wrong :) When I started working with Josh (Woolard), I …

I regret not joining personal training when I first started working out 2 years ago. I've been training with Thaddeus every week for about a month now and I feel like I've made the most progress than I ever have. Highly recommend the personal training program here; I've been to LifeTime and other Fitness Connections and this is the first place I've seen with personal training sessions going on, so they're definitely doing something right!

Excellent gym! Very convenient to folks who work and live in RTP. Plenty of equipment and a full basketball court. Childcare onsite. Bikes, Boot camps, and other pump classes also. There are lots of friendly staff and trainers. I work out with Josh W. and he’s the best at customizing the workout to meet my goals, flexible schedule, knowledgeable, and all around good guy.
