They have got the worst customer service I have ever experienced, both in person and on the phone. I had a membership there before Covid-19 hit. During that time I cancelled my membership since I could not go any more. Now I decided to finally go back and enjoyed the membership in the past so I went back in to open a membership, I had already set in my mind I only wanted the $9.95 a month membership because that is all I needed. I explained that to the gentleman who was helping me, and he just kept trying to convince me to upgrade for more money. I insisted that I wanted the cheapest one, to which he proceeded to explain why I should get the upgrade that I did not want. During this he asked me to sign something, when I asked what it was he told me it was the rules and agreements so I signed. I finally told him the last time to just do the cheapest membership and he told me it was too late because what I signed was the contract for the $22 membership. Then I asked them to change it and his supervisor and him both told me I would have to come back a separate day since customer service closes at 5pm. I have been calling customer service during my lunch at work for the last 4 days about 40 mins per call and have not once spoken to anyone. I would highly reconsider having a membership with a company that pushes you to buy what they want, and making any changes is nearly impossible.

I was att the Naperville location a couple nights ago when a chunk of plaster fell from the ceiling and hit a teenager in the head when he was spotting a bench press for his friend. It hit so hard it splattered about 10'. And rained down on others in the area. A couple kids told the manager. All he did is send a high school age kid to go look at it. They didn't evacuate the area, cordon it off , try to keep people away from it, clean it or call a repair person within the next 45 min. I was so frustrated by the lack of care by the staff that I tried to get them to do something about it. They just blew me off...Management should have been on top of this making sure people were safe instead of continuing to let people work out in this hazardous area.

Great place. The trainers are cool. The staff is pleasant. They always greet me and say goodbye when I leave. My issue is cleanliness of the locker room. Lots of hard water, lime and calcium build up. The bathroom stalls have dried up DNA on the inside walls and doors where someone shot a load and left it to run and drip down. Pretty disgusting. Lots of ponded water by the showers and pool area which is to be expected but I have suggested they put down some sort of matting so people don’t slip. That was two years ago and still water everywhere. The janitor can’t camp out there and constantly clean it up. Some of the lockers don’t close properly. The steam room has been busted for weeks with no repairs made and always smells like feet and @$$. Several times I picked up a fungus on my arms etc. i always wear shoes in there for that reason. It needs to be cleaned nightly with a fungicide because people are nasty as stated with the stalls. Lots of calcium and lime from hard water in the shower stalls and the faucet handles are very loose. Can’t shut the water completely off. Some just spin and you don’t know where hot and cold are. Other than that it’s great. I just wish there was a full facility like this closer to Elgin.

I've been a member of this gym for almost 2 years. I absolutely loved everything at the start. I even signed up for about 40-50 personal training sessions. Jake P. was my instructor and he was fantastic. Unfortunately, he no longer works as a personal trainer there. Ever since then, my experience has just been below average at best. I still have 13 sessions left and it is increasingly difficult to get a hold of someone to finish these out. However, every time I want to finish these sessions, their teams immediately try and sell me to purchase more packages and are very very pushy. The men's locker rooms and shower rooms are always dirty, you will always see tossed paper towels, dirty soap bars, spilled pre-woekout powder, and mud and salt stains on the floor. Bathrooms always smell completely disgusting, and I feel so bad for the one Janitor they have thats charged with keeping up the cleanliness of the place. Showers are also never hot anymore as well.Recently, they shortened their hours from 24/7 down to roughly open for 12-15 hours open a day. I can understand this change as it is hard to find staff to run the facility. On top of that, their hot tub is not kept at hot temperatures anymore. I would have to guess they keep temperatures between 86-92 degrees, which can be very problematic as those temperatures tend to breed more bacteria.By far the most severe issue is their cancelation policy. You need to come in and cancel in person, speak to management, and then you have to pay a $10 cancelation fee. You cannot call or email to cancel your membership which is quite archaic especially now that everything is digital or can be done remotely.Overall, the experience when I first started back in 2019 was fantastic, but over time is just got worse and worse. Learning about the cancelation policy was the tipping point for me. When I finally finish out my personal training sessions, or transfer it to someone else, I will never come back to this Gym. I know there are better options elsewhere that have a clean facility, hot showers, and friendly staff, and I am 100% willing to pay more for those services then the mediocre ones that are offered at xSport.

This whole aspect of gym membership is a such scam. I agreed to a buy one year get one free with a premium guest. Several account managers in detailed explained my guest would have full access no time limit. After 2 months in... a rule presented itself that guests can no longer come after 9 pm, after i did my first complaint, i found out guests don't have full access to the gym, just limited to weights and cardio machines.... It is completely contradictory to what i signed up for, which before signing up i multiple times asked for clear details. I put in my second complaint. Received one call back offering me 2 solutions still ending up with me taking a loss or hit. Nobody has been able to fix this unjustifiable issue. All reps i get and higher ups say oh well that's your fault for not reading the front door time hours. ... How is that possible and justifiable..lol... I go to your! reps and account managers to get reliable accurate information and details about signing up.. that's what people do that's how it works. You don't go to a car dealership ask about a car sign the purchase agreement just to get a more expensive loan and a different car model... But instead i get baited to sign up and now to be responsible for the loses because as the phone call rep said "well... i don't know... i wasn't there, you should have read the front hours labeled". . That is why you have account clerks!!!! to get accurate information.!!! this bait and switch has been such a pain in the butt to deal with. I am not even asking for much besides either accept was agreed upon or refund cancel the plan. I am literally being fair and this company is just grimy.

Great gym at a reasonable price. If you have the opportunity to snag one of the personal training promotions, do it! Alaina taught me how to work out, and I could always text her with any questions. I like this gym so much that I would go after work at 8:30 at night. 🤷♂️ I was never that dedicated before. If you haven't already, give XSport a try! Also, if you are worried about being judged because of the size of this gym, don't. Nobody cares what stage you are in on your fitness journey. Everyone here is there for their own benefit, not to judge. Also, there are always fellow gym goers to help you lift a heavy bar if you need it.

It’s an ok gym if you’re paying the $10/month. Most every accessory for the cable machines are extremely worn out and need replacing. Facility if usually pretty dirty and in general needs more attention to machine maintenance. This gym could be so much better especially considering how many members are signed on there. As always Xsport management says to email them. I've sent them a few emails and of course no response.

Where do I start? I'm overweight and thought let's join a gym. This has been by far the best investment I could have done for myself! As Covid-19 precautions are still prevelant at this gym, slowly they have begun opening fitness classes.. Spin with Kim, fantastic class that will get your heart racing. Xfit which is a high intensive Boot camp for all. Yoga, Weight trianing, and my favorite knowledgeable trainering available. I have not had one bad experience.Staff at this location are friendly, facility is clean, pool is the right temperature, showers are maintained well. I could go on, however, stop on in and see for yourself!

Could be a much nicer place to workout if they didn’t have so many machines “out of order” especially the treadmills and stair masters! There are few machines that have been broken since before the pandemic. If the same machines have been broken or skip for over a year and a half that means management just don’t want to spend money on fixing them.

It is acceptable gym but with decreasing value for the money. The gym has been slipping in quality even before COVID, probably running out of money. Best instructors have been leaving it cutting back. Rock wall remains closed without good explanation. Feedback or questions to corporate headquarters will be ignored.
