GO TO PLANET FITNESS NEARBY MUCH BETTER CHEAPER, CLEANER. THIEVES AND BANDITS RAMPANT HERE. MAGICK IN THIS GYM. BUT THE WORST PART OF THIS GYM IS THE MANAGER.UPDATE (JULY 2022): I JUST RECEIVED A PROMOTION OFFER FROM THEM AND I THOUGHT MAYBE THEY CHANGED THEIR WAYS. BUT READING THESE REVIEWS ITS STILL THE SAME... HOW THEY AREN'T SHUT DOWN YET IS BEYOND BELIEFUPDATE 2 (DEC 2022): JUST SPOKE WITH SOME MEMBERS WHO COME TO PLANET FITNESS NOW. XSPORTS BECAME A WHOLE LOT WORSE.UPDATE 3 (FEB 2023): NEW MEMBERS FROM XSPORTS THAT GO TO PLANET FITNESS NOW REPORT THAT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO HOT WATER FOR HAND WASHING OR SHOWERING. THERE IS ALSO NO HEAT DURING THE WINTER OR AIR CONDITIONING DURING THE SUMMER. THERE IS ALSO A VERY LARGE THEFT RING INVOLVING LOCKERS AND CARS BEING BROKEN INTO OR STOLEN THAT MAY INVOLVE STAFF MEMBERS.UPDATE 4 (MAR 2023): NEW MEMBERS FROM XSPORTS THAT ARE AT PLANET FITNESS NOW REPORT THAT THE GYMS ROOF IS ABOUT TO COLLAPSE AND THAT THE PLACE IS EVEN WORSE NOW. ALSO THERE IS A BUNCH OF PEOPLE RECORDING THROUGHOUT THE GYM INCLUDING LOCKER ROOMS. WHEN WORKERS ARE ASKED ABOUT IT THEY SAY ITS ALLOWED, EVEN THOUGH SIGNS DO NOT ALLOW.UPDATE 5 (MAY 2023): I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING ALOT OF SPAM AND INDIANS WHO XSPORTS HAVE OUTSOURCED TO HARASSING ME. THIS IS SUCH A NIGHTMARE ORGANIZATION. DO NOT COME HERE.🚨⚠️☣️☠️🤢🤮

Today I started my far burning journey with XSport). Really energetic atmosphere. Also customer service is nice.

This place is run down and abandoned the staff clearly have an attitude also the bathrooms are extremely dirty.when you try to decrease your membership they will take even more from you and won’t refund your money back.THERE ARE MUCH BETTER GYMS THEN THIS

The place is kept pretty clean, machines in good condition. I have enjoyed the few times I went to this location

Someone please tell me why the women’s locker room/bathroom always smells like sewage at this Skokie location. It is also apparent by the equipment that there is a very low budget for maintaining this location compared to others. I just moved to the neighborhood and will likely cancel my XSport membership and change gyms based on the low quality upkeep of this particular location.

Convenient to drive to and the people are very nice. The mornings also seen to be the busiest.

The Small Indian Guy With Cap and beard (04/24/23 11:25 PM) argued with me about guest pass times, instead of giving me membership options, just kept repeating that guest pass time was over, and got very defensive, very unprofessional, try to avoid this guy, everyone else in the front desk seems cool besides this guy.🤦🏿‍♂️ …

most of the equipments are good and cleanNo specific area for deadlift , the mirrors placed like a barber shop, you can’t watch yourself doing squadsThe worst part is the lack of gym etiquette***almost nobody put their weights back*** they should bolt the free benches to the floor so it will have some space from the mirrorsThe space near the dumbbell rack can be a high traffic area. People are constantly grabbing weights and putting them back. If someone lifts too close to the rack, it doesn’t allow people to grab the weight they need or return their weight to the proper spot. Some people like to socialize around that area***the should have some regulations about people and tripods, it’s a public place and not your personal studio

My mother is a wheelchair bound disabled person and has been going to XSport Fitness center in Skokie, Illinois because it is near her home. Due to her condition, she is unable to be active or move around. She loves swimming and it is her main form of exercise. She has been a member of XSport Fitness in Skokie for 5+ years because the handicap lift for the pool was easy to use and solidly built. However, since they they reopened after COVID, the mangement there has been very lacking. Random people would use the handicap shower and not return the handicap seat in the shower stall and the place is very dirty. For about a year, my mother has not been able to use the pool because the lift was always broken. It was mostly the issue of the battery of the lift not working. Every time it happens they say a new battery is on back order. My mother kept waiting for the battery to arrive. After several months of waiting and calling for updates, they finally said the pool is working with a new battery installed. However, whenever she come the lift never works. My mother has to arrange for transportation each time and before getting there she usually calls ahead to make sure the pool lift works. Each time, they would say it's working but then when she arrives and changes into her swimsuit and tries to use the handicap lift it doesn't work. This happened numerous times. They would always promise to have it fixed and but each time they wasted my mother's time when she gets there. The last time it happened was in March 2023. That time, I personally went there to check on the battery and saw that the battery looked old. I did not see any new battery installed on the lift. I also talked to the general manager name Billy there at the time and was promised that it would be fixed. It never was fixed. They are worst managed fitness center and we have wasted our money paying for membership that was never used. I do not want to give any stars but google requires at least a star for me to be able to post. My rating for the establishment is zero stars!

Conveniently close. Weights need to be re-racked. Hoping employees will get on this. They're always scattered around the gym. Lots of employees.
