Life Time in Skokie, IL offers an extensive range of amenities including pools, fitness classes, and facilities tailored for families. The club prides itself on being a welcoming place for individuals of all ages, especially children. After going to this gym for the past 3 months I realized half of the machines here are never used, and the ones that most people use, only have like 1 or 2. This gym also removes old machines and replaces them with new machines no one cares about it uses the only reason I go to this gym is because it’s the only gym nearby, but for 160 a month it’s complete garbage.

The swimming pool is great for any age and has a lot of swimming equipment which is awesome but the cafe food sucks and is overpriced.

We have a family membership & have been coming to the facility for a few months now. My husband has been a member for years. We always come in the evening as it’s the best time that works for our family. Never had any issues about using the family locker room. But recently it’s been a challenge but only whenever Chris is at the checkin desk. He always stops my son from entering the family locker room. He says something different each time….out of service, closed, not available today….now he’s saying it’s policy. We explained to him that my son would just be putting his bag in a locker and simply walking thru it to get to the pool. He is a young kid & not comfortable using the men’s locker room.Yesterday was the limit, when we asked him for a solution to the problem he said we are more than welcomed to terminate our membership if it’s not working for us. We were not able to use the facility yesterday. In terms of customer service I believe this is quite disgraceful. We never have issue when other associates are at checkin or at other locations (like Schaumburg). In fact the associates at Schaumburg have a very respectful demeanor. This location gives its members a hard time. It’s almost as if they want members to terminate their membership.

For families, especially those with young kids, Lifetime Fitness is a game changer. With two toddlers under 3, finding personal time is a rarity for my wife and me. But this gym has transformed our routine. The fusion of top-notch facilities for both adults and children means our entire family looks forward to our visits. Yes, the membership fee might cause a slight double take, but for families of 3 or more, it's genuinely worth every penny. We've explored other options, from nannies to part-time daycare, and nothing matches the value and convenience of Lifetime Fitness. Notably, their kid-friendly pool sets them apart from competitors like YMCA, EAC, and Northwestern. And while our little ones took some time to adjust, the empathetic staff eased the transition. If you're seeking a holistic family experience, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Terrible adjustment to hours & guest policy, basketball court rims are broken, overall cleanliness of the gym is just not up to par compared to other gyms.

Appeal to the management: Raise your prices!I as well as many others do not mind paying more if it means less crowd or more available equipment to use , notably there are lack of free weight plates when compared to other Life Time locations, hence I find myself spending a lot of time looking for the weights that I need.
