Families particularly love the kids' programs, which include activities like rock climbing and learning Spanish. Additionally, the facility often becomes overcrowded, and the presence of unsupervised teens detracts from the experience. The high membership cost and strict cancellation policies have also been points of criticism.

It seemed like a great gum I paid the higher price because j wanted to find a gym I could swim at after 5:00 p.m. If that is what you are looking for keep looking most of the swim lanes are taken from 4:30-8:00 for the swim team and lessons. YES they double dipping getting members to pay and pay again for.swim lessons. I and numerous other people have complained about it management doesn't care left numerous notes at front desk as they said that is protocol and needs to happan to file complaint no response and still no swim lane. Once the out door pool opened they just added more teams and took those lanes over also. Since the kids are on summer vacation can't those two take place b4 5:00 and let paying members use the Lanes or at least 1/2 of them between 5 and 8. Seems a bit ridiculous and like yhey are double dipping taking money from both but not providing the service I'm paying for a lane to swim in for 45 minutes between 5 amd 8. Management can't you work something out for all the paying members??? When u are asked about it they tell you to look on advance on the website I do amd it doesn't say all lanes are going to be used....

This gym is great unless you want to use the pool for lap swimming. Management at this gym fills all of the lap swim lanes with their swim lessons during peak hours, leaving none for the regular paying members of this gym. When management was questioned about this, they said they always leave "one lane" open for their members. Which is crap. Having one swim lane for hundreds of paying members from 5-8pm in unacceptable. The truth is they make money off of their swim lessons, so as long as the rest of us keep paying monthly dues they don't care and will continue to do the same. You will also have to try and ignore their large group fitness classes they hold in the middle of their aerobic equipment, along with the group instructor yelling at their "class". But again, they make money off of these classes, so I'm sure they wont stop.

Too many unsupervised kids running around spitting, trashing locker rooms, playing on workout equipment, using profanity. Parents drop off their young teens to "hang out" for the day. There is absolutely no rule enforcement. In addition, basketball courts are full of non-members who are repeat guests. How can the same person be a guest over & over? None of the employees or management appear to care or have an invested interest in the gym. It used to be nice but it has gone down hill very quick.

Lots of rude members at this location. The staff does a poor job of policing activity in the club. And lots of young teenagers with zero manners or zero concept of what it means to be considerate to others. People throwing weights, towels and garbage left everywhere, no one cleans off the machines when done. Its gross. I have aggressively been searching for another club closer to home.UPDATE: I found greener pastures elsewhere, for cheaper, and with far more attention paid to customer satisfaction. I do not miss this place one bit.

If you plan on using the well bucks they give you for personal trainers they basically don't deliver on what they promise always trying to upsell you on a training package. Also be very careful they have a 30 day written notification to cancel. You can not just email them or call you have to go in and spend 15 to 20 minutes or go to the post office and send them a certified mail to cancel your membership. has to be a 30 day written notice and you will be charged for that next 30 days. just something to watch out for.

2 years ago this gym was the best around. I dont know what happened... They have a new manager every year so the service is never consistent. 1) They have trash cans and towel buckets at every corner but you find trash and towels consistently on the ground. Its called an hourly walk-thru checklist! Expect your employees to do it. 2) They offer a drinking water with a filtration system but the filter indicator is always on red. If you're going to offer one then change the filter. 3) The sauna room consistently smell of mold and has plastic bottles laying for hours in the moisture filled room. Not to mention there is never any soap in the shower stalls. Again...an hourly checklist would be appropriate! One last thing, a month ago... They were short on male staff so women staff walked into the men's locker room and the only warning i got was them yelling "cover up." What if it was a male employee walking into the women's locker room??? Get your act together!WHY would i refer any friends here??? They'll think I'm crazy. I've let your staff know all these things 3 weeks ago. No Change! I'll just start going to the Troy location!

I am not a big fan of the sales process you have to walk through in order to workout at a gym... to be fair my rep did note that this is a health club, and not a gym, and I would tend to agree. On my rep his name was Roman and he was great, for me the club did not live up to what I would want if I were paying nearly $100 a month. I was on the fence, and perhaps if they get some martial art style classes in there, I might join. But for now all I was interested in was the steam room. First they add eucalyptus to the steam which is great. A few minor annoyances to anyone looking for this part. First as many have mentioned it is very overcrowded. I visited during my lunch break from 12:30-2, There were sometimes when the steam room was standing room only, sometimes there wasn't even that. The room is made of stone, not wood so the extra moisture drips on your head, which for me was an annoyance since I was using it to meditate and relax. And there are a lot of penisis..... that aside it does not seem like anyone "checked" inside the steam room where you had towels and snotrags laying where you would like to sit. Again this was the only part of the club I had any interest in hence my rating. As for the equipment, yoga classes, coaching, ext I have no idea. One last note back to Roman, he did not pressure me, argue with me, or try to convince me when I told him this was not for me right now. He was very professional, understanding, and kept the doors open for me in a very un-"salsy" way. I appreciated him.

We had a great time at our party at Lifetime. The staff involved with the party were amazing, They played hockey with the kids along with some obstacle races and helped with serving the lunch and clean up with the presents. I was really happy with how the party turned out and most importantly the kids had a great time. This was for our sons fourth Birthday. Thanks to the staff that helped out on the Cheaney party last month, we really appreciate it.Sincerely,Jeremy Cheaney

This review was deleted once, because the company is full of self-deifying saps who can't take criticism. I'll keep reposting until the review is left up =)The gym continuously raises rates, yet there are quite a few issues I have that provide insufficient justification for anything but a $25/month reduction in my rates - at least! First, why the heck do you people think those there to genuinely exercise want to do so in practically 70 degree heat without any fans or anything to move the air around? Second, the music is absolutely horrible! Do people that can afford this place honestly want to listen to teeny-bopper top 40 trash? Third, the televisions are not tuned to anything appropriate for exercising - CNN, talk show drones, mind-numbing "music" videos (the same Fallout Boy garbage played four times in 20 minutes one day). Fourth, many machines are rickety and clearly do not undergo maintenance as much as they should. Fifth, the climbing wall hours are pathetic and the routes haven't been updated in three years (give or talk a handful). Sixth, can we please get a decent amount of bench space, so that when the dweeb on the cell phone is taking up half the bench, I still have some space for the few seconds I need it? Seventh, the shower curtains are often ratty and riddled with holes. It's bad enough I have to be abundantly aware of the leery perverts as I change, it's worse to see evidence they also want to watch me take a shower. Eighth, there's still some petrified crap on the wall in the larger stall. Still. It's been five months. Ninth, if bucket-full-of-towels is full, empty it! Not hard! If there isn't a spot for it, I've got no problem leaving it on the floor for you to bend over and pick it up. Tenth, you replaced your great high-flow shower heads with awful low-flow shower heads. I'd rinse the soap off faster if I stood outside and waited for rain. Overall, it's clear you cut quite a few corners and have lost touch with the fitness-conscious. If there were an LA Fitness nearby, we'd be gone. The only reasons I haven't canceled: other clubs in the area - which are 20 minutes+ extra travel time (but worth it). While the other clubs have their problems, Commerce is the worst of them all.

The gym overall not bad. Its very family friendly and pretty clean. The only downfall I can say is the basketball courts used up sometimes due to birthday parties. I enjoy this gym I have been working out there for 4 years.
