Life Time Commerce in Michigan offers a luxurious gym experience with a wide range of amenities, including top-notch fitness classes, a relaxing sauna, a lap pool, and an inviting café. Families particularly love the kids' programs, which include activities like rock climbing and learning Spanish. The gym stands out for its pristine facilities and helpful staff, making it a preferred choice for those seeking a comprehensive fitness and wellness solution.

However, despite the many positives, some members have noted issues. The gym's customer service has been a concern, with reports of rude staff and inconsistent policies. Additionally, the facility often becomes overcrowded, and the presence of unsupervised teens detracts from the experience. The high membership cost and strict cancellation policies have also been points of criticism.

  • Excellent kids' programs.
  • Pristine facilities.
  • Helpful and welcoming staff.
  • Top-notch fitness classes.
  • Relaxing sauna and lap pool.
  • Inviting café.
  • Highly recommended for families.

I rushed to get there right after work around ~7 pm on a Friday to check out the gym and sign up for a membership with my wife. I arrive and the lady at the front desk makes me wait 10 minutes then refuses to take me on a tour or even let me signup for anything. I say I’ve heard good things about LifeTimes in general and would want to really check the place out and pay/sign today. She says she’s busy and I have to come back and says I have to do it all online. I understand the wait but felt like cattle and just a number. For a $150/month membership would think they have better customer service.

[edit] steam room is out of service until June 17, I expected better facilities for $200/monthThe impeccable cleanliness of the facility truly impresses me.Additionally, the friendly and welcoming atmosphere created by the people here makes it an all-around enjoyable experience.

We love it here. The kids academy is fantastic. So many activities for the kids. My 6yo loves the Rock Wall and new Run Club classes. The staff is great with kids 😊. My husband and I are 100% satisfied with the gym, lockers, amenities, hours, etc. literally no complaints. …

Very disappointed , we pay the full amount every month only to find out the outside pool doesn't open until 4 pm on 90 degree day. The staff is not friendly at all. Especially that Waleed guy.

I'll try to be as concise as possible.**Cheapness**> This gym, for the given price point, is incredibly overpriced and lacking in quality.> There is absolutely no reason why a gym at this price point shouldn't be open until midnight every single day. It's even worse when you consider Bloomfield Hills hours being even more reduced.> They literally kick people out of the sauna, pool, and steam room 30 minutes before closing. So you can't even enjoy most of the prime amenities of the gym during the supposed 'operating hours'. This is incredibly frustrating considering the majority of LTs I've been to do not even care if you're in the sauna or steam room past closing time itself (this one literally kicks you out before closing time).> LT makes more than enough money to afford an additional few hours of operating costs per day; it's literally pennies on the dollars for what you are charging per member and given the price increases in the past few years.> WTH are you making people may MORE for LESS service? LT is also saying they're increasing membership costs even more, just amazing business model they've got going (sarcasm).**Atmosphere**> One of the most frustrating things about this LT in particular is the atmosphere. It's filled with incredibly loud and annoying teenagers who are rude and disrespectful.> This is the first LT I've ever been to where there is some security personnel, and it makes sense as to why given the above bullet point.> Locker rooms and pool area are quite filthy relative to other LTs> Locker room routinely seems to be lacking sufficient towels somehowI cannot recommend LT to anyone living in an area that does not restore FULL pre-COVID operating hours, and unfortunately, that pretty much includes nearly all Michigan locations.

Water is freezing cold in the outdoor pool. Plz get it warmer. Entrance must be also More accessible instead of having one small door entrance from locker rooms for everyone with a slippery entrance . There’s a more accessible entrance from the parking lot for example. Just add one more employee for that. Everything else is good.

The man at the front desk could be more welcoming. He doesn't smile but rather has a 'judging' and haughty sneer.Went to the indoor pool yesterday. I am disabled so the hot tub was inaccessible to me but the pool has a chair lift that the lifeguard helped me in and out of the pool.Pool was the perfect temperature. Very comfortable.Overall I enjoyed myself and got a good workout.

While some of the Instructors try to promote mental wellness and stability in their classes, it is the same instructors who engage in gossiping amongst guests. This behavior is a form of bullying.

My husband and I love going to workout here. It is clean and the staff is friendly. It can get really busy tho especially during rush hours.
