Life Time Commerce in Michigan offers a luxurious gym experience with a wide range of amenities, including top-notch fitness classes, a relaxing sauna, a lap pool, and an inviting café. Families particularly love the kids' programs, which include activities like rock climbing and learning Spanish. The gym stands out for its pristine facilities and helpful staff, making it a preferred choice for those seeking a comprehensive fitness and wellness solution.

However, despite the many positives, some members have noted issues. The gym's customer service has been a concern, with reports of rude staff and inconsistent policies. Additionally, the facility often becomes overcrowded, and the presence of unsupervised teens detracts from the experience. The high membership cost and strict cancellation policies have also been points of criticism.

  • Pristine facilities.
  • Helpful and welcoming staff.
  • Top-notch fitness classes.
  • Relaxing sauna and lap pool.
  • Inviting café.
  • Highly recommended for families.

I am thoroughly disgusted by the customer service of the "account manager" Andrew. I was asking him questions about getting a membership and he says something along the lines of "I don't have time for this either get a membership or get a day pass". First of all, I was planning to get a day pass because I wanted to see what this lifetime had to offer, and if I liked it I would have definitely signed up. However, after that statement there was no way I was going to get any membership. I later decided that I had already drove here and just decided to get a day pass to get a workout in even though I was frustrated by the customer service. An account manager was called so we can purchase a day pass, and of course it was Andrew again. He said "Jesus....you again", and then decided to call someone else to help me since he obviously didn't want to help me himself. I again brushed this off and decided to just get a workout in and leave. However, on my way to the locker room I hear him talking about me to another coworker. Smooth Andrew..smooth. Even on the way out I passed his office and see him sitting on his phone. Yeah you really didn't have time for me but you can talk about me to other people and sit there on your phone. Thank you Andrew, as you cost LTF Commerce a whole family of members.

The water fountain by the basketball court provides lukewarm water. The vending machine with beverages by the basketball court is always near empty.Edit:The water is cold now. They are better at stocking the vending machine. I had a brand new expensive basketball stolen from the basketball court. I blinked and it was gone. Management didn’t seem to care. “Sorry we don’t take responsibility”. Sad. Keeping my review at 1 star for this reason. Not to mention, all of the basketballs at lifetime that are up for a loan are a minimum of 10 years old and mostly deflated. They also have deformities from kids trying to make half court and full court shots.

One of the worst possible lifetime clubs around town. One day I forgot my shoes, I come looking for them next day they've thrown them away. They had other shoes laying around for weeks.Pool area:Every lifetime club has its own rules, some say kids aren't allowed to play after 6pm??!! No kids in hot-tub some say under 12 under 16.No toys in the pool? You'd figure its the kids pool and they're not gonna start swimming laps. Lifeguards and employees treat you like you got the membership for free.Super crowded all the time and lotta riff raff people yelling in the locker rooms and pool areas. They get away with all that but you can't take toys to play in the kids poolUpdate -reviews don't mean anything to them. They only leave a common response to every review - "Thank you for your feedback. We regret that your experience at this club was so poor. We do value each and every member at Life Time. Without members, there wouldn’t be a Life Time. We do understand your frustrations and will work to resolve the issue"

Have been a member here for about a decade and it’s really gone downhill lately. They started as a nice club with plenty of services catering to adults that want to be fit, but now it’s essentially just a daycare. Kids roam free on the cardio and weight areas, are allowed in the jacuzzis and sauna even though it’s clearly posted they aren’t supposed to be. And now it’s not even a 24/7 club. They changed the hours and never even changed the rates! Started with 4 racquetball courts then a few years ago got rid of two. Now as of October of this year they won’t have any! Management here needs a clean sweep as they clearly aren’t keeping in step with the point of the gym. Ceilings are dirty and 100% have not been cleaned since the club was built (I’d know since I’ve been a member almost the entire time). I used to really enjoy working out here, climbing, playing racquetball and relaxing at the pool, but now I spend too much time dodging unsupervised kids to enjoy my workout. Regular staff are great, the only decent part about this place. Everyone in a suit needs to get the boot. Great place to go if you’re trying to ditch your kids, terrible place to go if you’re an adult that’s serious about being fit.

I have been going to lifetime a lot recently and it is amazing and all but it is just their service because of lots of stuff. what i mean is that i wish that lifetime here could improve their service. Also i was wishing to get my first gold card so they gave me a temporary one, But after 1 year i still have not gotten my card...?

-Way too many unsupervised teens. I wanted to soak in the jacuzzi. Can't. Hordes of teens.-not a single chair to sit in when attempting to take my kids to the pool. If you're going to charge me every month the least I should get is a chair to sit in.-while waiting in line to get slushies for my kids a 12 year old thought it would be funny to spit water from a straw onto my breaststroke/chest. I don't need to pay to be harassed by kids.-lazy parents use this facility as a daycare.-staff is rude and ignore guests-teen girls hang out in the locker rooms primping and talking on their cell phones.-it's like hanging out at middle school which i barely escaped. No thanks!-the side door is propped open with a tile to let in non guests--so non paying people are over crowding a crowded facility. Very uncomfortable place to be with rude patrons to boot.-no parking. Ever. It's too expensive a membership for this sort of experience unfortunately. Canceling.

Was a member for over 5 years. Starting around 2009 everything was great at the Canton Facility. After about 2 years starting seeing a decline in services such as maintenance of equipment, making sure clean towels were available, making sure lockers were in good working order. Cleanliness of the entire facility. Despite all that I was still reluctant to leave until the all the problems I had with the mischievous people mostly teens. Had multiple incidents with that including one prank of removing weights on bench press when you're not looking. Saying something to staff or trainers does nothing about it. This is a stock market company so if you want to maximize profits just cut your staffing or other services. Was a very nice facility with a lot to offer but I had enough and joined LA fitness instead. Doesn't have as much but it's also cheaper with less problems. Stop sending me emails I'm not coming back. Telling people what they want to hear doesn't make it happen. Actions speak louder than words. I'm a veteran of the armed forces and have always been at my best in life even as a civilian.

The facility is clean and well-kept. Staff members are generally friendly. It would be better if the child care center was able to take your kid to the bathroom instead of having to come get you if they need to use the bathroom and can't fully do it on their own. Child Care hours are great staff members that work there are friendly. Nice selection of food I wish they had a few more low-calorie choices. Also wish that there was a little more opportunity for classes on Fridays.

Disappointing. Had a rude front desk at member services many months ago. This business is all about people, and if club employees cant be courteous, there is something dysfunctional about the organization, leadership.Men's room toilet stalls in locker are DISGUSTING!!! Floor, walls, overall...not sure how often they are cleaned. Been in there AM 8ish and also later in the day, was equally messy

DO NOT BELIEVE ANY PROMISES THAT THE SALES PEOPLE MAKE. They will promise you anything in order to get you to sign on the line. After which they will conveniently forget. When I signed up the sales lizard said that whenever I have out of town visitors come in just talk to a sales person and they will make sure there is visitor access. However, when I showed up with my daughter to work out they wanted to charge a $25 fee for the day. Liars!
