Life Time Commerce in Michigan offers a luxurious gym experience with a wide range of amenities, including top-notch fitness classes, a relaxing sauna, a lap pool, and an inviting café. Families particularly love the kids' programs, which include activities like rock climbing and learning Spanish. The gym stands out for its pristine facilities and helpful staff, making it a preferred choice for those seeking a comprehensive fitness and wellness solution.

However, despite the many positives, some members have noted issues. The gym's customer service has been a concern, with reports of rude staff and inconsistent policies. Additionally, the facility often becomes overcrowded, and the presence of unsupervised teens detracts from the experience. The high membership cost and strict cancellation policies have also been points of criticism.

Pros:

  • Wide range of amenities.
  • Excellent kids' programs.
  • Pristine facilities.
  • Helpful and welcoming staff.
  • Top-notch fitness classes.
  • Relaxing sauna and lap pool.
  • Inviting café.
  • Highly recommended for families.

Cons:

  • Rude and inconsistent customer service.
  • Overcrowding issues.
  • High membership cost and strict cancellation policies.

Edit 2022: Worst lifetime in the state of Michigan, management here is terrible. They do nothing to improve the club compared to locations like Troy and novi. The club is also super dirty and lacks staff to make sure the locker rooms are clean. This place isn't all that for what they charge, be aware that when you sign up, the sign up fee can be free all the way to a few hundred dollars (I wouldn't recommend signing up if its over than $50). The place is nice and clean most the time but you really don't get what you pay for. If you want to play basketball you probably wont be able to since there is almost always some event going on on the left side, and on the right side there is always some league that is running a game. As for the pool, its almost the same deal, if you want to go and swim laps, its going to be a challenge, there is always kids who don't listen and go and swim in your lane which makes it almost impossible for you to swim. The gym however is not that bad, there is more than enough machines for everyone to use, and they have many different types of machines for you to use depending on what you want to do, this is what saves this place from getting a one star. Also, if you enjoy rock climbing be aware that they charge you to use it for nothing because it always closed, so its basically not included. Overall, I wouldn't recommend becoming a member at this Life Time unless you're okay with being bossed around by members who think they run the place, and are okay with being limited to what available when you're paying for it.

Good; Club is nice and towels are always available. Front desk staff always friendly. Equipment is maintained well.Bad;. Too many pre-teens/teens congregating in groups, just sitting on equipment. And summer is even worse with the outdoor pool. I don't know where there parents are, but the bad language, gang mentality, and overall rudeness from them makes you want to stop your membership

Three stars due to the fact that they only open at 6am on the weekends. Very poor weekend hours for the size and location of this gym. They should at least open at 5am on weekends. Lots of folks arrive early and are waiting in parking lot for it to open at 6. Please update weekend hours.

I want to start off by saying how unprofessional Waleed Salman is and the management is very poor, seems lazy and doesn’t want to fix problems. He doesn’t care about long time members or employees. The staff are always rude, they look at you like they don’t want you to be there. They seem very weird if you make a mess and you will get dirty looks from staff. DONT EVER GO TO THIS GYM. Very unprofessional and a hangout spot for teenagers

4* due to cleanliness. People leaving towels wherever they please - in the shower stall, in the steam room, middle of locker room floor...used paper towels just sitting in the sinks. Disgusting. Don't see this at other locations. For what you pay to be a member at this place you'd think the clientele would be a little classier.

I have been a member am since 2204 . I am 73 years old. I fell and shattered my wrist in June 2022. After two months doc okayed me to go in pool. I have a plate and screws in my arm and would be removed once it is healed. I finally felt I was going to try to come back and go in pool to walk. It has been very painful without any release but I wanted to try to get back at least in the pool even though the pain was excruciating. My experience has been the worst and unbelievable as it can get. I have asked if I could go through the family locker room in order to avoid walking the long way around to get to the pool. I had already had on my suit no gym bag in my bathing suit cover up and it would’ve been so much easier for me to go through the locker room the pool is so much closer and there’s not as many kids from the camp and the floor is dryer around that side of the pool . Going through the women’s locker room with me and I have to walk through a very wet floor from so many people going in and out and the hot tubs for the outdoor pool. I explained that would make me feel a lot safer especially this is just coming back after being out so long and I haven’t really gone anywhere until now. Come to find out I’ve never been treated so cold cruel mean unreasonably terrible people. I was told I had to walk all the way around and there was no way I could cut through that locker room to get to the pool quicker I have been treated terrible there now everybody’s looking at me like I’m a troublemaker and they’re very rude up to the club manager as far as I’m concerned that club needs to have someone from higher up checking up on that whole club attitudes are terrible with the help there and the pool is unattended with the children three years old Floaties on the deep side kids hitting each other with water weights there was no supervision in the pool horrible club I’m just wanna also say I called three other clubs in the area and they said it would not be a problem for me to simply cut through there until I was healed so bottom line don’t join when you’re too old because they treated like go away lady she problem

Lifetime Commerce, Michigan Spa. I work full-time and help care for my elderly parents who have health concerns. I admittedly have missed appointments due to emergencies beyond my control regarding my parents. I use the time I can have for myself to relax. Today I had an appointment for a facial with T after work, however, I received a call my mother was involved in an accident. I left work and spent the rest of the day in the ER. I forgot about the facial. I received a call from the manager S. who insists on charging me $45 because I missed my appointment. The manager then told me because there is no card on file, they will charge me the next time I have a service. I told her this was an emergency. She lacked empathy and spoke condescendingly. Heartless, uncaring, cold and immature. I will spend my time at an upscale spa with experienced customer service representatives. Disappointing experience.

Lifetime has great facilities. Wet Steam room, pools, whirl pool, weights, machines, motivational classes. Membership is a little higher than other clubs but is worth it if you use it. If you don’t, you’re helping pay for the folks who do use it often, so make sure to go as often as possible and get yourself together for the long haul of life.

Just put my account on hold too many pool closings due to lack of lifeguards. It's too far of a drive and is to expensive to make the drive and have basketball courts steam rooms and pools constantly closed at a moments notice.

Very much enjoy this gym. Always used LA fitness. I'm conservative and stick to what i know, plus it was cheap. Recently joined lifetime and love everything about it. Free Day care for kids, wet sauna and dry. Wet sauna is extra hot (just perfect). Good size pool and now I am able to bring my kids, 6 & 1.5, and they have a kiddie pool area. Amazing. A+
