Make sure you read your agreement if your wife, husband, friend, etc. was a member in the past you Can Not bring them as a Guest, if you get the Passport Gold Membership. This rule makes absolutely no sense. I actually like this gym but this rule not allowing me to bring my wife or any past member as a guest has pushed me to easily pick another gym, more receptive to it's members/rejoining members.

Don’t trust this gym with your money and credit score!! I received a voicemail yesterday saying I needed to update my payment information, so I gave them a call. When I called they said I had an outstanding balance of 270, which I was surprised because I haven’t been in a over a year and froze my account when the shut down happened. They said they emailed me about an outstanding balance on my account, but I never received anything except promotions about adding people to my account.. They made me pay 180 otherwise they would’ve sent it to collections, when I haven’t even gone since the pandemic started. I was able to log into my old email to double check I didn’t miss something and found NOTHING. This place is not a good business. There are plenty of other gyms out there, I suggest trusting some other place.

I enjoyed going to this gym a few times before COVID struck last March. I have been trying to cancel my membership since they re-activated it without telling me and have charged me for multiple months. I've emailed them constantly, and am told to call a 1800 number that then brings me to a website that doesn't "recognize" my credentials. The staff member - Tony Johnson - who I have spoken to on multiple occasions is not only not helpful, he's very dismissive. I will have to go in person to hopefully cancel my membership. Customer service is god awful. Gym itself is pretty decent. Would not go back.

Here I thought my experience was “unique” until I started reading the reviews.. I too am one of many victims that have fallen for this gyms predatory behavior. I canceled my membership right after the second shutdown, not only was it extremely difficult they gave me the runaround and a heavy dose of attitude. As soon as gyms reopened they began charging my account without my knowledge. And now 12 months later, here I am actively fighting a dispute of over $720 with a membership that’s somehow is still active even after begging them to cancel it. One of the staff member even acknowledged that I have not been at the gym or signed in, in over 385 days. I’m furious and taking all the necessary steps to not only get my money back, but reporting this facility to the better business bureau and getting lawyers involved. Stay away if you’re considering going here. Your wallet and credit score will thank you.

Pick any other gym, stay far away from Gold’s! Predatory salesmen, teeming with toxic bros, and they give you the runaround on cancellations. Went in for the advertised free trial and was told it was only during certain hours that they allowed the trial workouts to happen and that I should just sign up. Got persuaded into signing a gym membership when I had no intention of doing so without a trial first. Walked away from signing up feeling like I had just been had. Extremely predatory selling tactics.I was told by the salesman that the gym had quieted down a lot since gyms reopened. Got up to the gym and found it was completely packed (off peak hours). On all 3 pieces of equipment I tried to use, I was able to get one or two reps in before some bro came to ask how many more and then loom on top of me. Not the vibe I want in a gym.Cancelled the membership the next day, which was a ridiculous process trying to get them to honor the first five day cancellation in the contract. I was given a separate business’s number to call to cancel (you can’t cancel directly through the gym). Called that number, and they said they couldn’t cancel it because it wasn’t even in their system yet. Had to go back to the gym and make them do it in their system; got a ticket reference number from them to make sure they didn’t screw me over. Watched like a hawk the next few days to make sure it was cancelled before I got roped into the nightmare scenarios of wrongful charges I read about from other reviews. The facility is nice and membership is cheap, but you get what you pay for. Never going to a Gold’s again.

Customer service is really bad, and the trainers are not good. I do not recommend anyone coming here if you really want to experience a great gym environment this gym is not the one to go to. On top of that, most gym members steal from you if you dont watch your stuff, which I feel is the most low class thing members do in this gym. On top of all that, I even had a trainer by the name of Isaiah knoll, come up to me in a threatening confrontational manner and claim that I bumped into him, I went with the manager and told him what he did. That was basically the last straw for me and I left golds gym Glendale for good. I highly do not recommend this gym.

I like golds gym its a great starter gym for people who just want to stay fit or become physically active. I don’t agree with their cancelation policy to wait 30 days before your membership cancels and you have to tell them prior those 30 days also you have to wait a year for your contract to end so you don’t get charged a fee. Besides that the gym is actually in decent shape. Its jot as big as lifetime, but has all the essentials. The customer service is great, the gym employees are kind, the cleaning staff does a great job. As for the people who come and go its mostly high schoolers or college students that want to show off or train for a sport. The treadmill area has a great view of the city of glendale.

Don’t want to waste my time writing this review, but this gym is over I priced, over crowded, and the management have a rule where if you visit once under a friends membership, then your free week trial is void, and even if you visited with a friend yesterday. Despite telling me on the phone to show up and just show them my ID for a week trial, I arrived and they said my only choices were to buy a $20 day pass or a full membership on the spot. I left and found a better gym (Which I don’t wanna disclose so it doesn’t get over crowded ;)Happy lifting everyone, avoid Gold’s

I joined Gold’s in Glendale 2 weeks ago. Tito spent the time I needed to sort through the membership plans and gave me the space to make a no pressure decision.I chose to do an initial meeting with a trainer, Tatiana and was so impressed that purchased a few sessions (totally unusual for me) after receiving multiple purchase options.Things haven’t been easy for all businesses, and Gold’s is no exception. There were times, for business reasons, Tatiana could not be present for personal training, Roman jumped in to help me and also did a magnificent job. What I’m saying is that the Gold’s staff worked together as a team (those I’ve meanti ones and others) to provide the services I have been seeking. Unfortunately, that team must also spend a significant amount of time cajoling a few members into quarantine compliance.A lot is happening with Covid, and those few who fight against the spread by not complying with mask wearing are a significant part of the reason the gyms have closed down again today.I can’t wait to get back to Gold’s. Overall, the staff is super friendly. The club itself is clean and each member may grab a bottle of disinfectant and a towel to keep her workout area clean. I love the layout and flow of the space and classrooms. After being a member of other Glendale area gyms, I cannot imagine why Gold’s has any negative reviews.
