I paid a year membership at the beginning of the year, like I had done the 3 previous years. I tried to cancel my membership and get a refund on the remaining 6 month and was told they could not refund my money or cancel since I paid for a year. Now, I am told it is month to month membership. I received 5 phone calls to renew my membership and explained we contracted mersa from the gym and then they charged a card that they had on file $218 for monthly renewal and informed me I have to drive to the location to cancel. I have been trying to cancel for 9 months. They stole 6 months because they would not refund when I was cancelling summer of 2015 and just posted another charge based on a contract from over three years ago. They are thieves and liars and will tell you whatever benefits them and will not terminate when you request if you pay in full. They terminated the janitors and placed the cleaning with the trainers. Hence breading ground for staph infection and now staph that is immune to antibiotics. Absolute nightmare!!!!

Lifetime Gym has very poor business practices. Save your money and go elsewhere. Beware!!!! Don't get caught up by the building and their two faced staff ALL they Want is your money and then to them your are a number. That is all members are when you walk through their doors. They will end your membership and not even let you know. All over $4. That's it. They will not even say a word. I kid you not, $4. THEY DO NOT COMMUNICATE,Bad management and don't believe them if they say they will "get back with you". They lie a great deal!! Call headquarters if any problems arise. That staff they have are worthless. I would not recommend this club at all, they will steal from you.No star for them at all but just to write and let people know how unprofessional they are.there has to be. Even one of the manager, David Silvia, poor management skills. Does not do what he says he will do.. All lies!!!!

I love lifetime.I have been a member on in off since they have opened. Here lately it has been getting more and more child unfriendly. The pools used to have great hours for family to enjoy, but here lately they have changed the hours twice and the pool closes at 8. I work till 6. This limits my time on working out just so my baby can enjoy the amminities too. Now I rush from work, workout for my 30 minutes and then i rush to pick up my baby to let her swim. Usually my arms and legs are too tired to swim and i just sit in a chair next to the pool and watch her. Today i was sitting next to the pool 2 feet away watching my baby swim when i had the life gaurd walk up to me and say i had to be in the pool or my feet in the pool while my baby swims. What crazy idiotic person with nothing to do writes this stupid rule? I always liked resting after my work out while my baby swims. No i have to stick my feet in pool. Who ever writes stupid ass rules like i say YOUR AN IDIOT!.THIS JUST LOWERED MY RATING OF THIS PLACE. I pay top dollar to go here and now its starting to feel like a concentration camp with all of the changes being made

This place is about 8 years behind the curve and makes you think of those 24 fitness and Golds Gym types. A lot of investment at the beginning but nothing later. Their infrastructure to wireless and in equipment entertainment is non-existent. I could not even connect my smart phone to their non-existent Grid and this is considered a "Platinum Club". I would expect a lot more from Platinum given that I am am currently a Gold member and was a Diamond about 10 years ago in another city (where they had the latest tech). This club needs a new manager in my opinion.

i have been a member of this gym since it's opening. it is a clean, friendly, well staffed, multi-purpose gym.the compliant i have is with their organized classes. They are crowded to the point of no floor space in both the morning and evening classes for all yoga classes, barbell classes, and many others i have not attended but viewed while working out on other equipment.it is difficult for any teacher to instruct and be aware of posture and technique which if done poorly will lead to injury for the students in these classes. Students are not learning as much or enjoying the experience because of this over crowding.i wish the management would add classes at peak attendance times. i know they keep track of it.a possible solution could be to redesign the current floor plan to use current space for more classrooms.its an issue that's not going away and a lot of the membership uses this part of the gym.it should be addressed.

I enjoy the water aerobics in the summer and wish they had a resistance water track inside for the winter months. Water exercise is the best for me since I have arthritis and can't really put much stress on my joints. Wish the inside pool was a little deeper too for indoor water aerobics.

This gym has a lot of great options. However, It's now a Platinum class but offers a lot less than many Gold class gyms I've been to, which is disappointing.Things they could improve: Bring back the racquetball courts, increase the rock wall times (so people can actually use the wall), improve staff education (employees are usually clueless or misinformed about basic FAQ), getting broken machines fixed as quickly as they advertise when you first signed up, prohibit minors from the weight room, and upgrade machines to AT LEAST Gold class standards.

I am traveling in the metroplex for work for the next month or so and I belong to Life Time in Ohio. I must say, I was impressed with the friendly people greeting me at the front desk to those working about in the club itself. I am not one to shy away from others, but, being away from home I am always more open to talk to folks and at least say hello. My experience here was nothing short of welcoming. I have been working out between 11am and 2pm most days during my trip. So far, I have found that the club isn't overly crowded during these time and I have had ample opportunities to use the equipment. Never once did I feel intimidated or unwelcome. I would recommend this club for anyone looking to join a full service health club in the area. After also having read some of the reviews - one must always get things in writing - especially in the ways of contracts, etc. Life Time is a national organization - I can only speak from personal experience, but, if others have had membership issues, remember to always read the fine print. I have actually opted out of my Life Time membership twice to get a better rate. Most if not all health clubs will run your last month dues before terminating your contract or starting a new rate, similar to renting an apartment - first and last months dues are almost always collected up front or at the termination. I find it hard to believe that educated people fail to read and fully understand terms of any agreement before signing. C'est la vie.

LIARS!!! Last November, I came in to find out about a membership and told them I used to work out at the North Dallas location. I spoke with Chandler Loyd and he told me they held a promotional incentive that if you join and change your mind, you can cancel within the first two weeks and get a full refund. He insisted on it and I joined. I did not have a good first week there and did not enjoy some of the other members' attitudes while playing basketball and thought it best to leave the gym before I get in any altercations with other members. When I asked to cancel and get my $98 refund, because I was still within the two weeks, I was told I did not qualify for the refund because I was former member of another club. I informed the management that Chandler did NOT tell me this and that he absolutely knew I was a previous member of another lifetime gym (because your information is in the data base when you join any lifetime gym) and said told me I could be refunded if I cancelled within the first two weeks, He did not tell me that I wouldn't qualify if I was a member in the past. When I confronted Chandler and location manager, Chandler proceeded to LIE and said he never told me that, even though I had notes I took from the meeting with the specific cancellation cut-off date. And the manager got on the phone and said, he understood my situation but said he had documents I signed stating this and one of us was lying and he chose to believe his employee over the customer (me). In other words, he made me out to be the liar. I was not refunded my money and I was charged an additional $100 for my next and final month. These people are liars who will say anything to get your business and cover their own asses. I have told all my friends and family to never join this gym. The facility is nice and most of the staff are very courteous but when I am lied too, and the management supports lying staff when confronted, I draw the line. Basically, I was told they were sorry to hear I had a bad experience but they had my money and wasn't giving it back no matter what they promised up front.-F--You! My advice: tape record your conversations with the sales staff and keep your lawyer on speed dial.

Been a member since 2007... They recently have begun letting children into the weight / machine area. Avoid this place. I've moved to L.A., very happy. Additionally, $18 a month is a lot less the $55. Trainers are $20 a session less. To top it off, LifeTime charged me $110 to cancel my membership.
