I signed in to use the massage chairs but the manager was too concerned signing up a new guest to acknowledge me.

Planet Fitness has most of what you need if you're looking for general fitness and weight loss and is a great place to start working out if you're not experience with Fitness or workout routine and has a lot of different options to make working out safe and enjoyable with lots of different exercise options. I do wish the weights were heavier in the dumbbell section for people that are stronger than average or been working out a long time and need more challenge of a heavier weight.The dumbbells only go up to 70 lb and if you've been bench pressing or shoulder pressing or doing any big movements like that for a period of time or just a bigger body or stronger person than 70 lbs pretty much just to warm up and not a really challenge workout.Happy workouts,Kyle@kylewattssurfing on Instagram if you or anybody you know would like to get some surf lessons....

Rude staff. One staff member in particular. I brought one of my family members to this location. My family member is new to the area and I wanted to monitor this person in order to make sure that they felt comfortable and that I felt comfortable with them being here. Once my family checked in, someone I know came up to me to have a conversation. You know, hey how are you, I didn't expect to see you here type deal. This particular staff member basically told us to sit down if we wanted to have a conversation. Moreover, I loss sight of my family member and told a staff member that I needed to check on this person. This particular staff member told me that I could not check on my family member unless I have a membership. This staff member told me that they will check on my family member. What sense does that make? You don't know my family member. Again, it is my family member's first time here. This made me feel angry and uncomfortable. Maybe it's true what this person said, but at the same time this person could have offered an alternative. For example, I'll walk with you so we both can make sure everything is ok. I am assuming that I will be banned from the gym due to this review. However, please be warned that it is apparently their policy that you cannot check on a family member, specifically an underage family member who has never been to this location before. It is apparently their policy that they have to check on your family member without you, even though they don't know the person or anything about them. After I made this post, I went to check their policy on the website. I do not see anything in their policy that states what this person said. If this is in fact their policy, they need to make this clear when signing up. They need to make it clear that a parent, guardian, or family member cannot check on someone unless they have a membership. Their policy does state that 13 and 14 year olds cannot be left unattended. However, what about 15 to 17. They can be left unattended. However, someone should be allowed to check on them periodically throughout their workout. So, I just called a friend of mine that frequents this establishment. She told me that this same member got so loud yesterday that she and her quest had to take out their headphones in order to see who was so loud and why. This staff ran behind 2 females yelling accusing them of not checking in. All the while, the other staff members were telling this staff member that the clients did in fact check in.

💪New gym member here, but I love using the facility here! I truly feel like I am in a "no judgement zone"I've experienced the kindness of strangers helping understand the equipment, and the comfortability of being able to just zone out and get my work out done. The equipment is always in good shape, and everyone cleans up after themselves. Using the changing rooms, and bathrooms is a breeze and are very clean. I also throughly enjoy the extras, like the massage chair after my workouts!! Using the app to know how busy it is, is super awesome ! I also love being able find a workout video it is really helpful!! Especially for someone who is new to a gym and all of the overwhelming equipment (and people who clearly know what they are doing more than me!) I hope it helps me not look as much of a newbie as I am 😂

Super Friendly Staff. Very helpful with all my questions and offered updating my info while I had time.. each staff member was ready and happy to help you train,give great tips and pointers for working out. They were very kindly interactive,...They follow the rules on checking members in. Which leads to overall safety. I am very pleased with the service from this location. The showers and locker rooms are all clean and well maintained, and also all of their products stocked. All locations are similar and have similar service, so Friendly happy staff makes the difference

Great place to get your fitness on whether you're 19 or 90.

Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Facility is well maintained.

Nice gym- super small compared to others- however for the size- it’s never busy- always available machines and racks- never have to wait like at other locations- always a couple machines out of order- but they get fixed quickly- also love that their squat racks limitation lets you go lower than most PF, as a female who loves heavy hip thrusts- higher limits make them nearly impossible to do low at all- not here

Planet fitness in hampton va is horrible. My second time there some dude tried to bully me, yelling and screaming. I went to the desk to complain and the two guys at the desk was so wrapped up in their personal conversation they didn't hear anything. I complained to the manager, krishel or something. She called once and said she would call back but never did. I ended up calling and she was rude and ended my membership. Hampton planet fitness and the management SUC. I wish I could give less than one star. After speaking with the manager, krishel again. She still canceled my membership. This is really not run well.
