Better than before! Now it feels more like a luxury gym like the LA fitness Signature gym in the loop. Someone always greets you when you walk in the door and when you leave, towels and extra amenities in the locker rooms. Even the other patrons are friendly. Only if the women's restroom would smell nice and not like it needs to be thoroughly cleaned, then i would give it a 4.5. Plus the proximity to Rice running trail and Rice Village makes it's easy access to a night cap on your workout, if you need a run or are meeting friends for a healthy dinner

The condition of the equipment here is really, really bad for a national brand that should have plenty of money to have a consistent maintenance program. Rust is all over the place. They only have 4 stationary upright bikes and only 1 is working condition and even it has a torn seat and is rusted. See pictures that by no means show all the issues.

Good thing these places are open 24 hours because the only time you can work out without waiting 30 or more minutes for one station is between 2300 and 0600. Parking is always a nightmare. The locker room smells like a morgue that lost air conditioning.

Not impressed for what I'm paying. Horrible basketball court with basketballs that belong in the trash. Oh, that's not thunder outside its someone finishing their set and throwing weights to the ground so hard its destroying the floor which is a trip hazard. Also, clean your station BEFORE you use it people tend to not have to many fxcks to give about their sweat and grease getting everywhere. I think the heavy bags lasted 2 weeks tops before they were trashed. Canceling my member ship soon,

I have a membership to 24 Hour Fitness that allows me to use any of the gyms. This is supposed to be one of the nicer gyms, but it is in bad shape. The cardio machines are old and break down frequently. Other locations in the city have updated their machines and are better choices. They frequently run out of towels. The bathrooms are dirty. And there is a seemingly constant problem with clogs in the sinks in the bathrooms.A positive is their group exercise classes. Generally the instructors are good and their are lots of classes offered.

Crappiest service, they don't fix equipment, the water fountain and main machines take more than 2 weeks to fix, and most importantly, really really dissappointing service, billing, management, it feels like you are just getting scammed. The AC is always off and it smells like it doesn't get cleaned, but then all of a sudden it smells like someone ran through with a cheap can of febreeze. Not worth a $10 a month.

I have been a member to many gyms in my life worldwise and I have to say that this is worst "premium gym" I have ever seen. The management is only focused on selling memberships and personal training sessions. All the staff at this location is either in sales or training; there will be a person behind the front desk folding towels that may or may not acknowledge your existence when you walk in the front door.Notice that has no management reply to any of the negative reviews because they don't care.Fat, old and out of shape instructor! Personal trainners playing on phone.Very inspiring!!!Locker room smells like dingy towels and the restrooms always smell like pee.Wet sauna is broken. A lot of members gets in the sauna (in this case dry) wearing workout outfit and tennis shoes, without previous shower. We all know that sauna is a favorable inviroment for fungus!Swimming pool? Disgusting dirty! Aqua Arobic classes where is it?The weights are scattered across the gym and almost never in their designated rack.Always a wait for equipment use and a lot of them broken.Water fountains are constantly out of order and when they work they are not cold and not filtrated.!TRX equipment is constantly being moved.Very Disappointing!!!

You know how people criticize Planet Fitness with all the memes and bashing videos? Well I'm here to say that 24 hr fitness is no better. First, there's a high crime rate in the locker rooms, my ipad was stolen and no one has any information about who took it or if I'm getting reimbursed. The water fountains are always broken, the steam room has a foul odor and mold, The Jacuzzi water is green, looks horrible. A lot of the machines are broken, the towels aren't clean after being washed. The bathroom in the men's locker room has 3 stalls and two of them are always locked. Last Sunday, I went to use the restroom and there was poop on the walls and the floor. To top it all off the staff sucks, the gym has two guys that are great but everyone else is lazy and hard to reach. If this gym wasn't so close to my house, I would never go again.

Blown away! Beautiful 24hr fitness. I've been a member at 24hr in the past at other locations, recently renewed and have been going to the Meyerland location as it's slightly closer. I have to say, after a walk round the facility today I was just amazed. The place is huge, it's so clean, and the members seem to respect the facility. No trash, no paper towels on the floor, no hogging equipment and all the weights seem to be re-racked. It was really spacious compared to other 24hr's which seem to be cramped for space. The Rice location has three levels and it has a pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, a really nice Basketball and Racquetball area. I was really really impressed and I have to say, the guy at the front desk was top class. He offered to show me around and answer any questions.. yet at Meyerland they have never even said hello or enjoy your workout, or if you have any questions come and see me! Like I said, really really nice gym and well worth what I paid for a six month membership. I'm so pleased I picked this as my home gym when I signed up! Can't wait to head that way this evening. - by the way, just went through the feedback below and completely disagree with what has been said, but I will repost if I find anything that is not up to scratch. I was super impressed today and I've got a degree in Phys Ed and have been in a lot of top gyms over the years. This one has to have all you need unless you are playing for Dynamo, Rockets or Texans! Great value for the $.

Overpriced and overcrowded, employees/trainers are rude and unwilling to help. Weights are strewn about with most patrons unaware of gym etiquette. There always a wait for equipment. Worst of all there are only 2 bathrooms in this 3 story globo-gym! Only thing this gym provides is 24 hour service, otherwise it is very disappointing.
