Very sad to see 24 hour fitness in general go down hill. Can’t tell you how many negative reviews I’ve seen, yet nobody from 24 has responded. That shows that the customer is not important. Most of the reviews are accurate. Bathroom is outdated and terrible. Poor sinks, hair dryers, toilets and lockers. Cardio machines... 1 out of every 4 is broken or “out of service.” Weight room is good, but plates are left everywhere and I’m waiting for the building to cave in due to all of the ego lifters slamming weight as hard as they can. Giving the gym bumper plates was by far the worst decision. Carry hand sanitizer with you too.

It was a mistake to try and come back. Moved back to Med Center for work and wanted to try this place out again since it was on the way to work and to see if it has changed. Apparently they wouldn't activate my 3 day pass since I was a prior member Haha. That was almost 2 years ago. So fickle these idiots! It's okay. The gym is still awfully dim and grim when you walk in. The cardio upstairs still has body odor smells from being in an enclosed area and on the top floor. Let's not get started on the locker rooms..... equipment is aged and some of the items were broken. If you live in the area, I can see it's convenient! Otherwise this is Houston.... plethora of gyms, so keep looking!! Find yourself a smaller personalized locally owned gym!

Only using this gym as its close to my location. Bad equipment, some are broken, especially in the cardio room. Only Olympic weight racks are there which can be frustrating but got to use something as the normal metal weights there is only one and always being used. The gym is not aired out, always busy and muggy inside. Sauna also should be regularly checked and cleaned. I never get infections but got two due to that room. Only plus is the location, otherwise not impressed. I hope one day the staff really prioritizes the complaints I am seeing below. Please put the AC up also in building!! I sweat crazy in this location!

So I’ve had a membership here for about 8 months now. Usually the staff is fine/don’t really bother me which is what I prefer. **HOWEVER** tonight I brought a guest, which I have done before, and the girl at the front desk turned us away because she wasn’t trained on how to register guests. We tried to get my friend a guest pass online and the staff member said it wasn’t possible. It’s finals, and all we wanted to do was work out before our exam tomorrow morning. The staff member was also rude about it. Considering cancelling my membership after that experience— I’m sure there are 24 hour gyms that are more professional elsewhere in Houston.l and who properly train their staff.

Since 2017 I’ve been a member of 24 Hour Fitness. I have experienced several regimes, as far as management/staff. However, today was the day I actually interacted with a manager.Kris, the busy yet polite manager; that is always around the club; was the one that saved my membership from being canceled. I had to deal with corporate over the yearly-fee that I failed to budget it to my expenditures this month. Thankfully, a polite interaction followed a very disappointing interaction with corporate (the 1-800 number). Kris took time to not only read my email I sent to her, but was able to correctly state the 24 Hour policy, and that it bound her actions in what she can do for me. Because of Kris, I was able to get in touch with a better person at corporate, and keep my membership to the club. This may not be familiar to all, but for those that value customer service and personal interactions such as myself, it matters. Kris was professional, informative, and understanding. This is the level of customer service given at this gym in my experience. In the fourth busiest market in the United States—Kris is part of the management team that does their best to keep this location running smoothly; as busy as it is.Given the level of professionalism and consistency I have experienced, I’m happy with choosing this gym as my home gym.

This gym has become the ghetto. Equipment specifically on the 3rd floor are constantly in a state of disrepair. This is especially the case for the stair masters. The "out of order" signs have been present on the equipment for over a month. In general though the gym is pretty damn dirty...they have the TVs that flash team clean" that never happens. The bathrooms are always dirty. Most staff are pretty incompetent. It's likely because the turnover across the board is high.A super sport gym, secondary to the one ultra sport gym still in existence is the highest tier gym membership you can attain. 24 likens the $40-$50 monthly membership fees to it having more amenities". At this time 24 has decided to eliminate towel service with a less than 30 day notice. So aside from a racket ball court in the poorly ventilated upstairs what the heck additional "amenities" are afforded at a higher cost?Save your money, if you choose to utilize the 24 fitness gyms the sport level memberships offer the same benefits as a super sport...this gym ain't it.

They have made a lot of new adjustments to the gym.. it’s a decent gym.. Best times to go is early or late to avoid rush hour.. They have eliminated the towel service here just recently.. they have added the cross fit machines which I like ..Update since the new manager has eliminated all of the old workers there and turn this gym into a complete sue proof place it has got a little irritating.. They got rid of the black metal stools so, short people cannot use the pull up bars... thanks for supporting the short folks 🖕🏽

I have been coming to this gym for 6 years since I moved back to Houston based on a friends recommendation. In the past, the gym has not been overcrowded and we could easily get a work out in and get out in under an hour. Yet with the increased in patrons, there’s is clearly not a reinvestment in equipment. 3 weeks ago I brought it to the mgr staff attention and was informed they were not aware of the deteriorating equipment, yet would fix it. The equipment is still not repaired. Which in hindsight I realize the “lack of awareness” was a scapegoat as they have 10 professional trainers that use the equipment to train their clients daily who should be well aware of any deteriorating equipment to prevent injury and to track results.

Love the yoga, body pump, and spin classes! Love the bike, elliptical, weight machines, and free weights! Love the sauna!! Fantastic value, friendly staff, clean equipment! Thank you for 6 years of excellent membership!

Have had my locker broken into twice within a year. The last one was a heavy duty masterlock. Staff were very helpful and understanding but I know my experience isn’t uncommon. So assume you can’t secure valuables.
