So last week I joined 24 Hour. I was skeptical because most big name brands treat you like a number but Emmanuel Bravo assured me that this was not the case. Tell me why he registered my membership to someone else???? I would understand a misspell but he completely got the name incorrect! Irene C.???? Luis the assistant Manager was there and stated he would submit a work order to correct it but didn’t get my name .... soo how is that gonna work???? I asked the front desk lady she said to allow 24 hours for the update, we’ll see. These guys are truly all talk.

TLDR: If you care about your money, safety, not being scammed, receiving NORMAL or HALFWAY DECENT service from a gym-Please don’t go here.I have been going to 24 hr fitness for 5 years in dallas and to say I’m extremely disappointed is an understatement. This is by far the worst management/customer service I have ever received. It is the kind of management that want to screw you over and take money from you at any chance. There were 2 “assistant managers” (one with light curly hair and one shorter hispanic man) we spoke to about activiting a trial pass for my friend who lived in the area to test a gym, and they rejected the trial pass saying we need to pay $20 regardless. In my 5 years of introducing people to 24 hour I have never encountered this!He said: “You’re only going to use the free pass and never come back so I cant let you use it” even though we never said that and said this was my friend’s FIRST TIME EVER AT THE GYM.In addition he kept several information from us and was overall very rude, sneaky, and aggressive. I’ve never experienced this kind of horrific service from a gym before. When I tried to reason with him he finally just used the excuse “yeah I would let you use the pass-but the server for using the pass is down now.” Also ridiculous considering you just go online and fill out information for using the pass.It wasn’t just us though-a lady before us was yelling at him for being sneaky and charging her card when she cancelled. He ripped the check-in pad from another lady who was trying to check-in saying “You can’t use this. Go use the other one.”Looking at the other reviews - it also looks like this gym is unsafe and many others have experienced this issue with these two “assistant managers.” I have never written a review this long...but I need to inform yall DONT COME HERE.

More money... more problems! I transferred from Planet Fitness (clean, machines in great condition, all the machines I use are there, good staff) to 24 Hours because the location on Richmond is a block from my office. Immediately I saw problems. The majority of the machines I use were outdated, in disrepair and dangerous (the cushions were literally cutting my skin as I tried to use one of them). The locker room is dirty! I alerted the front desk and they said "sometime soon" they'll replace equipment and get someone to clean locker room. So I decided to spend a few extra mintues to go to the Westheimer/Chimeny Rock location one day and was even more disappointed. None of the equipment I use was there and what was there was in bad shape. I do midday workouts so my feasible options are limited but I might just have to change my shedule and go somewhere else

I’ve been going to this gym for about 7 months. I enjoy the facility, the location is ideal and the staff is friendly, but my main issue at this time and the reason I have given two stars is because my first experience with a trainer whom I scheduled an appointment with this morning at 10 am decided to not show up or even bother to call and let me know. It didn’t help that the staff had no way of getting in contact with him and there was no manager on duty which I find very odd, thus I couldn’t even express my concern to management. As a professional I find it extremely and I’m sure most would agree, UNPROFESSIONAL to flake out on a client without notice. I’ve reschedule with another trainer and am hopeful my experience with her will be different than that with James Smith.

I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience at this location with either the staff or the cleanliness of the facility(women's locker room). My belongings are always kept on me because I always forget to bring my lock. I will never leave my things unattended. Just because your in the Galleria area does not mean you can leave your belongings unattended. Thats just common sense.I see that most negative reviews are due to poor customer service. Upper management definitely need to monitor this a little closer. There's obviously a problem. A little more training can go a long way to get current and future members happy. Customer service should always be everyone's stop priority. On another note, BodyPump with Terry today was amazing! I loved how he kept me going the whole time! Very motivational. On the down side, I was only able to attend his class today due to my work schedule.

my first experience walking into any 24 hr fitness and the guy at the front desk with curly hair was incredibly short with me. my friend had a guest pass and i didn’t know anything about the process so he told me i had to pay $20 for the day fee. he didn’t explain any options to me about the free trial and was being very rude, so when my friend told me i could do a free trial he wouldn’t allow me to do it because he told me i already had to pay. the manager came out and was also very passive aggressive towards my friend, who had canceled her membership (but still had it for this month) bc she is moving to a different state. he didn’t treat her like a real customer just because she had canceled. terrible impression of this gym.plus the lady in front of me in line also had a complication where her card got stolen and wasn’t compliant at all with her situation.all the negative reviews you read are true. i am so happy i had a terrible experience because i never want to spend a single penny here.DONT COME HERE!!!

The worst customer service experience ever. I recently signed up for a 7 day guest pass, but never used it do to the fact I was still in the process of relocating to Houston Texas. Once I finally got settled in , I decided to swing by and use my guest pass. I was told it expired and I was not eligible to receive another one. That’s makes no sense, just go into the system and reissue another guest pass. Finally the sales manager Charlie Gurney ask me if I wanted to take another look around the gym and go over some membership options. At that point I was annoyed.just give me another pass and let me workout. Well Mr. Gurney solution was to allow me to workout for today or come back on Thursday when he’s scheduled to work again .... why? That makes no sense SIR. Anyway he finally issues me a guest pass, after 20 minutes of going back and forth. honestly you would have thought he was issuing me a loan. It’s NOT that serious mister. Long story short I will not be joining 24 hour fitness, Well at least not this location. I rather go to another facility where customer satisfaction matters most, and the memberships will follow.

Worst customer service, money grabbers.I have been a client of this gym for 12 years. A couple of years ago the management changed, this place has always been less that desirable, and it has been worst since. I have been coming over here because I live a block away. First, they took my free childcare that had been honored by previous management for years because I was grandfathered. Today I went in, they said my membership expires today and I am not allowed to workout because I have to buy a new membership before this one expired? On top, my prepaid membership used to come to about $15 a month, now I am not allowed to buy pre-paid. I would have to pay $32-$38 a month for basic with no childcare plus fees. I am so saddened that after 12 years this happened to me. You lost my business after 12 years.

Went there with my two member friends and i was the only one with free pass and yet they did not respect their own company policy this guy names chalrie if its even a valid name they gave us. Very rude person. All happened under the supervision of the supervisor standing there. Super rud staff and super disrespectful. Nice gym but too bad these people made it a terrible experience. Overal if u want to enjoy ur workout, dont go to this gym!!!!

Everyone at this gym is rude. Only Cindy is nice. The white girl with glasses, Christina(African American) and others they all are rude. And some of them are judgemental. They are busy chatting with others. Christina looks like she is always in a bad mood. Manager is also not that good.
