The actually gym is excellent for what I need however today is the second day this year where I have gone at open and no one has been here to open it up. Today I’ve been waiting for 20 minutes and no one is here and there’s been about 15 people who have been waiting.

I'm only visiting for a day or two & getting my routine in...the place needs some maintenance & upkeep along with some rigorous cleaning. Equipment is dated. Clean locker room, which is always a plus. Overall, this is the only 'local' option for PF.

Employees are always friendly & helpful. The facility is always clean. I love their motto "judgment free zone," as it truly is. It's a very pleasant place to work out in.

Was crowded and fairly clean but as was said before the equipment has seen heavy use. Saw a decent amount of fit girls here, most pretty damn cute too. Caught a few of the friendly staff cleaning, always a plus.

Claire was my rep over the phone and she explained in great detail the facilities, and the memberships available before I made the trip in. Once there, the staff walked me through the facility in a friendly manner. Tons of nice equipment and their website even lists the busiest times of the day to workout. I highly recommend the Sycamore location in Iowa city, and any Planet Fitness if they are all the prompt and friendly.

The most archaic cancellation policy I've ever heard of. They can't do it over the phone. They can't do it over e-mail. They need a mini essay about why I'm cancelling sent to them through the postal service for their own "documentation purposes." I definitely would have rejoined when I moved back into town, but such an anti-consumer and anti-convenience practice turns me off so bad that I'll never give them a dime again.

Very affordable. There are lots of different people who go there, and sharing equipment is always pretty easy to do.Nothing over 75lbs available for free weights, however, and there isn't a bench or sqaut rack in the building, so thats kinda sad.

This planet fitness was not one of my favorite.The guy working was very responsive, so that was nice. The lighting is not great, the mirror in the back is at a 45 degree angle, the weights were old and the equipment is very cramped.I would say the building is too small for the city. The location isnt great either. I bet much more business would come closer to downtown iowa city

Nice clean place. Awesome staff. Kristine the general manager was very caring and very nice. She checked in with me a couple times to see if I had any questions or anything. I like the variety of equipment.

Great gym! Very clean and the equipment is in excellent condition. Kristine, the manager , was very professional, personable, and helpful. She answered all my questions and concerns. I'm happy that I joined.
