The laid back atmosphere makes it an easy gym to workout in. Plenty of equipment and people on staff to help you use it properly. Very friendly staff, too. Everyone from the elderly to teens (accompanied by a parent ) are welcome here.

Great gym! Very clean and the equipment is in excellent condition. Kristine, the manager , was very professional, personable, and helpful. She answered all my questions and concerns. I'm happy that I joined.

I had a membership that I paid for the year as per contract. I didn’t want to renew for the next year because I didn’t use it to begin with. I call to cancel , employee tells me to email them to cancel. I do that and no response from them. I call them 5 days later and I had to resend because they couldn’t find the email. Bottom line is they couldn’t refund my annual fee of $41.00 because of the 7 day window. Tiny print on contract so it’s an oversight. Buyers beware. Another way of making a quick buck .

4 stars because it's the best value option during this "tragic" time. On a normal year this would struggle to keep and maintain 3 stars. We know the planet fitness pros and cons for anyone who is looking to push for an above average look and build. Given the hours it's open, the cheap price and the size of the building, I'm willing to sacrifice and improvise my workout a little bit in these "trying" times. I'm gone once things return to normal.

I’ve been coming to Planet for 3 years now and the Iowa City location is my favorite! Kristine, the general manager, is a pleasure! This location is always very clean and the staff is always eager to help out. Love to come tan and workout and start my day off right!

As a Planet Fitness employee in another state the status of this gym wasn’t up to par. With new management there has been a drastic change in every aspect in a positive direction. The major areas being customer service, cleaning, and accountability. Kristine has done a very good job with little time she’s been in management!

Kristine has made so many wonderful improvements. The staff is more attentive, helpful and hands on. The cleanliness has dramatically improved. I love this gym. Thank you all of your hard work.

I just signed up here! The staff was extremely helpful and made the signup feel easy and relaxed. The gym motto of no judgement is very welcoming and the staff shows that. Ive been a member for a few years. During the last few months seeing a female manager added to the team of workers. Has made a big difference. Much cleaner, you feel welcomed coming in. The guy manager is awesome too.Just needed a woman's touch.Thanks
