Onslow Fitness

I loved this gym while I was stationed in Jacksonville. It was always clean, the staff were always polite and it had all of the equipment I needed to stay in shape. I rate it one star simply because of the lie of omission about cancellation of my membership. I have been trying to cancel this membership for over four months now. I have moved home to Texas after my End of Active Service from the Marine Corps and I was initially told that of I needed to move, I could cancel my membership or relocate my gym membership to another gym in my area. The billing company, ABC Financial, is still refusing my cancellation and will not switch my membership to the gym closest to me either. Even though that gym is billed through ABC financial as well! So now I am trying to cancel and am required to submit a letter of change of address confirmation from the post office, a copy of my pay stub from my current job, and a letter from my boss at my current job, to prove that I've moved. This is ridiculous, but I did it twice already and they keep asking for exactly what I send them! I have called them countless times to try to figure out what the hold up is, but they keep assuring me that they have everything they need, and low and behold, I've just been charged for another month of a useless gym membership. Not worth the hassle, should've just stuck with the on base gym.

Great Gym! A little bit of everything. Something for everybody because it caters well to all fitness types whether your a body builder, cross fitter, or just looking to burn some calories and tone. Whatever goals you may have, you can achieve them here! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Good affordable family fitness! Pool, Sauna, Steam room, tanning and childcare! My wife and I really enjoy working out here! Lots of motivation!

This gym is the best personalized gym you can get in Jacksonville. The staff is friendly and helpful, the equipment is always available and with the 24hr access they offer the flexibility that I need. Onslow fitness feels like a more personable experience and that's what I can appreciate. Join this gym you will not regret it!

I used to work at Onslow Fitness for a few years and left 6 years ago because I moved out of the area. They were fabulous to work for. Everyone was so nice, the members were always happy and the facility was always clean. I recently relocated back to the area and after having a baby, i quickly realized I needed to get back into the gym. I decided to become a member at Onslow Fitness. So much has changed in the past six years the place looks totally different. They have new equipment, more equipment and such a great setup. I'm so excited to get back into the gym and especially love the fact I can take my son with me. We have used the child care a few times and he seems to love it.

I have been going to Onslow Fitness for about 6 months now and I love it here, this gym offers more then any other gym around the area. The employees are very friendly and always greet you by your name when you walk in the door and when you leave. The staff trys their hardest to get to know your goals and help you out as much as possible to achieve your goals. Great gym I recommend this place to everyone I know. Extra shout out to Ciara! she is Awesome :)

Like the gym lay out and the updated equipment and the sauna and steam room and tanning and pool which I checked out all the gyms close to me in jville and this one offers the most and they had a no enrollment fee at the time. I like how the childcare and classes are free and how friendly and awesome the staff are they really care and give honest opinions!! The daycare isn't up to my standards with taking care of the children with not changing diapers, I've worked in a gym daycare and know the requirements.

I really enjoy this gym, the staff is really friendly. They greet everyone who walks through the door with a smile. They really make going to the gym a fun and happy experience. Its never to crowded and very easy to manuver arounf to find whatever you need to but pain in your body. A great gym, wouldnt trade it for anything.

I joined Onslow Fitness a little under a year ago and am impressed so far. The facility is always very clean and the staff is always very friendly. Every time I walk in I am greeted and before I leave as well. I was really nervous at first since I have never been a member of a gym before but the staff was so friendly and helpfull that it soon went away. Special thanks to Ciera and also another one of the ladies but I cant remember her name, Crystal maybe?! Great job Onslow Fitness!!

I love Onslow Fitness. It's in a great location and they maintain the facilities beautifully. From the fitness classes with great instructors, to the relaxing sauna, and clean and fun childcare room! It is a great value for all the accommodations you get. On top of that, the people that work there have your best interest at heart. They want to see you reach your goals, if it's to loose weight, finish a race, or be a real competitor! I recommend Onslow Fitness for any person looking for a nice relaxing and clean workout environment!

The gym itself is not so bad, although I feel that for the money they should have more updated facilities. My beef with Onslow Fitness is that they are owned by a company called ABC Financial. DO NOT sign a contract with Onslow Fitness if you know you will be moving before the contract will be up because they will not let you out of it. My husband got out of the Marine Corps and we moved back to our hometown. I was told that I could cancel my membership because I am 28 miles away from an affiliate gym. Who drives 28 miles to go to a gym??? I have gotten the complete run around from both Onslow Fitness and ABC Financial and have been paying a membership fee that I cannot use.I highly recommend going elsewhere.
