I used to hate the gym and was never consistent until I hired Alex Knies to be my trainer, and I couldn't be happier. He has given me confidence to go in there and bust through the crazy workout he designed for me and I'm so grateful. The men behind the desk are super friendly and always helpful as well. I still dread some days, but being more informed and pushed by Alex has been amazing. Hire a trainer! Oh and the place is way cleaner than Killeen Golds 😉

The physical facility is good. Has everything you might want or expect from a nice gym.The membership policies and fee system is the worst and most deceitful customer service system I've ever experienced. They handle all the signup and send your billing info to some big brother corperate system with supposedly no way of contacting them except a corperate email address. Additionally, only your home gym can handle any of your account issues. So even if they screw up your account and convince your wife to start a new account and charge you a sign up fee (without recieving the signed contract...) or slow roll your cancellation and squeeze another month out of you, good luck getting any form of refund. Even if they admit youre being screwed, theyll just shrug their sholders. Save all documents, because you might have to be your own lawyer with them.Theyre really good at starting accounts! But even if youve spent thousands of dollars on membership fees and personal trainer sessions, expect to get a nice kick in the butt on the way out the door if you cancel.

Gold's gym is not what it used to be, and for me that's a good thing. It's no longer an intimidating place fill of people already in shape and very muscular. There are still plenty of body builders working out there, but now there are many more "regular" people just trying to lose weight. They have wonderful trainers who are very helpful. Ask for Kathy. She has helped me tremendously. They have different levels of membership to suit your needs. Basic membership gives you access to free classes such as Body Pump, Gold's Burn, Zumba, and many others. They also have Aqua Fitness and Aqua Zumba available for everyone regardless of membership level.Locker rooms are kept very clean. Pool and hot tub are also very clean.

This gym is horrible. I would give 0 stars if it would let me this gym doesnt even deserve one star. I did a 3 day pass here because never been to this one in cove before. I had a membership at golds in killeen ( I like) years ago for a while, so decided since I lived in cove to try this one. Well, Nobody showed me around just acted like I was a bother, but I wanted to work out so I used it. I liked that they were only 4 minutes away, so I decided to join just because location. I tried one day to take my daughter who is 12 with me to go to the gym to utilize the pool, but they wouldnt let me get her a day pass for that day they said I would have to get her a membership which thought was ridiculous since she would only come once or twice a month, so needless to say her and I went on post to the gym there that day. Everything extra there just cost way to much money especially since membership is so high. I didnt even know you had to pay for towels (left mine at home) and asked for one and girl acted snobby when asking if I had towel service. I ended up laughing and walking away. After those two instances I ended driving to the killeen location. But, circumstances happen so my husband and I decided I should cancel. I went to cove to cancel and of course they lied about the membership and the cancellation. They bill a month ahead and I canceled before my thirty days because with 5 kids just not enough time with my husband working 12 hours a day and their child care cost so high and already paying so much for the membership, it just didnt make sense financially for my family. They charged me after my cancellation then added a fee on top of that because it didnt go thru ($20.00 fee). I know the day I went in to cancel my membership I had specifically asked if I would be charged the next month and made sure to tell them that I was canceling not suspending my membership because they were trying to convince me to just suspend, but I was adamant that I want to cancel and wanted the refund since I was within thirty days get a full refund and they assured me I wouldnt be charged, but I wouldnt get a full refund just what I paid upfront to join. I wasnt happy at the time that I was lied to about the refund process when I was doing my membership, but I had my kids with me and was just ready to cancel so didnt make a big deal about that. But, then 2 weeks later they charged me a membership fee and a 20 dollar late fee. I called that day when my husband showed me on our account what Golds did. Well they wouldnt refund it from the cove gyms end and we argued for about 30 minutes on the phone the guy wouldnt listen and yes I became very very angry because once again they were lying and he wouldnt answer my questions. He was very condescending..My husband called the corporate office while I was on the phone with coves gym and apparently the cove golds gym even after telling them that I am canceling my membership and want the refunds they knowingly had me fill out the wrong form. After getting off the phone with coves gym the service my husband and I got from the main office was amazing. I am getting a full refund, but it was a lot of hassel and a huge headache that day. DO NOT GO TO COVE GOLDS GYM!!!! They do not own up to their mistakes or are they willing to correct them. They make you feel stupid and basically just don't care. I am not the only one that has had this happen and I probably wont be the last, but I hope they get people there eventually who care about their members rather than seeing dollar signs walking through the doors.

Lost a debit card and went in to update Gold's Gym. Unfortunately, the employees could not update the information correctly, so several months later and two additional trips to resolve this issue, I started receiving harassing phone calls by the company's debt collector. Once again, I marched in to Gold's Gym to get this issue straightened out and Jennifer dropped the ball. She was rude to boot and made a point to keep the issue away from the General Manager. I'm still dealing with the issue and have asked numerous times for my account to be canceled out. I did not expect this level of poor customer service from such a large corporation. The gym itself is awesome, but not worth the headache of dealing with the staff.

Some staff treats me kinda crappy like I'm less than. I get ignored quite often. I didn't even get a tour when I joined . I had to ask for the free consultation. They pick and choose who they want to be friendly too and it honestly makes me not even want to go anymore. Or ask for anything. When i have to ask them to correct something it's always a big ordeal. Great gym, and staff is great ....but only to some people.

My wife went in to cancel her membership and personal trainer. she was told by the front desk to come back after her membership was up. she went back and was then told she needed to come in 30 days prior to not be charged. so Jennifer (the manager) said she can use the gym for the 30 days and the personal trainer. since then the personal trainer has been scheduling the time randomly to use up the time without my wife's permission while burning up the training time. we are on month 14 of being charged for a 12 month contract. We tried to call the corporate office since the manager Jennifer never calls back or is ever available at the location. When calling the corporate store it ask you for your zip code and redirects you to the local store. After looking at the reviews on the BBB website it seems like this is a huge problem with golds gym. Now we are giving up on the gym and seeking legal counsel. Before getting a membership please take caution and read the reviews here and on the BBB website.

My father canceled his month to month membership and they still charge for the next month. Apparently it takes 30 days to “process” a cancellation. He was not told this when he initially signed the contract and he should have been. This is by far the most ridiculous policy I’ve ever heard. How could someone know they’re going to cancel 30 days in advance? What a deceitful practice and disingenuous policy! It’s just another way to steal money from people.Im hoping they put into practice a more honest policy and be more transparent in their practice. I will never recommend anyone get a membership with Golds Gym. Not until they reimburse all these people they cheated. Again, what an absurd policy designed to cheat people out of their money.

The facility itself is great but everything is about making money there. Just be careful and make sure you ask as many questions as you can. Went in to cancel my membership because I was not gonna be able to go in there anymore due to work. Just to find out that even if I canceled they would still be charging me for the next month that I would not be there to attend the gym. Because their cancellation process takes 30 days. Something which they neglected to tell me. But was so happy to tell me that it was on a paper which I signed. Anyway good one golds gym. Because I my military obligation which prevwnted me from remaining a member I was ripped off. Thank you so much for your support.

Nicely set up gym, every time I go it is never too busy. Price is very affordable and you can upgrade for different options. Friendly and knowledgeable staff willing to help out with membership issues. Military friendly and allow you an option to put your account on hold or cancel if you deploy. Kids corner is very convenient so you van get a workout for two hours and know your child is just around the corner.
