Needed to be in NYC for a month of work and Ali, the Senior General Manager, was wonderful in setting me up seamlessly with a month long membership and also connected me to a personal training program. I had the good fortune to be paired with Katya, who is an excellent, communicative, effective and friendly trainer. All around fantastic experience. Happy to have selected this gym!

Tbt to working out with my trainer when this dude showed up being all like “yOu CanT UsE tWo MaChiNeS lIkE tHaT, iTs NOt HoW ThiNgs ArE doNe HerE” to my trainer who then offered to switch out between reps and the Kevin was like “No No No thIs HaS bEEn thE WorSt vIst EvER yOu jUst lOst A Valued Client!!1 WhAt iS YoUr nAmE I WanT to spEak WitH yOur MANager” and then walked off. 10/10 most hilarious way to start the day, I cackled.

Humiliated by a trainer in front of a bunch of people, so he could feel better about using two machines at once and yelling at me from across the gym. I now have to go down to west 54th to work out which is so much better overall, however farther from home. This is the worst gym ever. I can't stomach going back. This trainer was out of line and thought it was so funny, after the incident he hand bumped the front desk manager, yeah members are given top service..

I was trying different Crunch locations and this one was definitely my favorite. I was on a free trial, but when I came into this location for the first time, I signed up for a membership with John. John is really passionate about his job and genuinely cares about the wellbeing of the members. He has great energy and walked me through the sign up really, really well. John continues to respond fast to any questions or concerns and I appreciate that! The overall gym atmosphere is amazing and everyone is so friendly. I will forever be grateful for John and this gym for helping me start my fitness journey.

Best gym experience I’ve had so far. I’ve tried planet fitness and blink in the past, but Crunch just does not compare. It’s a phenomenal gym. The W83rd location is very accommodating and clean. They offer so many fun classes, the cycling class with Michelle is so much fun. The work out space is great. If you’re thinking about joining ask for, John. He is amazing, he’s super helpful and is always there whenever I have any questions.

Whoever is in charge of facilities here is not doing their job. The Sauna is frequently down without any warning and is half of the reason I’m a member at Crunch. This is not going unnoticed. Figure it out and fix it please

Good vibe, no creeps, plenty of machines without being too crowded, and decent sauna. Not bad! I haven’t taken any of the classes but they look good.

crunch 83rd is located in the gym mile on the UWS. i received a free trial pass but declined the grand tour 'cos I was more interested in a spa day than working out. The sauna is conveniently adjacent to the locker room, which sports rather large lockers & is spacious in general for alone time with a leisurely coffee or smoothie. they also have a lounge area if you want to chit-chat etc.overall, this gym's a well oiled machine- well-planned and well-executed. they've thought of everything to make it a wonderful experience for you but then leave you alone to do your thing. if you prefer a more hands on approach, they're eager to help, again without pressure. Lastly, they're on top of their cleaning game, continuously yet unobtrusively restocking towels or tidying up after patrons.it's an optimal space on gym row for nearly anyone to get crunchin', & they're not pushy, so do try crunch.

The gym is always very accommodating and clean. Ask for John, the membership director when you join. He goes above and beyond, making it less stressful to get in and signing up for classes, and is in general on top of everything at the gym. Best gym experience I’ve had so far and have been going for more than half a year.

Not a bad gym. It has all the equipment you need to get a good workout. And while it doesn't have a lot of multiples of the same equipment, I've never had too much trouble getting what I needed. Staff is friendly - no complaints there. …
