TMPL - Astor Place

Best gym. Staff is super friendly and I like how the gym is structured. They have a lot of options for machines and I enjoy the classes that they offer. Also this gym is probably one of the cleanest gym I’ve ever been.

This is a terrific facility. They have top notch equipment in a great looking space with a terrific vibe. The front desk person, Charlotte, went the extra mile and was super friendly and helpful. In fact, the entire staff was knowledgeable and friendly, great place. I highly recommend it!

When I first signed up for TMPL the staff greeted me with much love!! . Especially this one young lady Rachel Rodriguez!! , she always makes sure I am situated while doing my workout and has been very helpful throughout the years. I also love how the machines are always sanitized and workout equipment are up to date!!

Don't let the old negative reviews scare you. I'm so glad I gave TMPL because this gym exceeds all expectations. I really expected it to be gross, tacky, annoying, etc. but it turned out to be a great community with a ton of gym equipment and space. Just a few workouts in, and I already feel stronger.Definitely schedule a tour and give this place a shot. Maurice did an amazing job at showing me around, and Abid really helped me sign my membership. You can tell everyone here really loves what they do

Astor place is my favorite TMPL location. The employees are especially helpful whenever needed and the gym it self is stunning and one of a kind. The equipment is the best of the best and provides wide spread options for everyones fitness goals. I am always greeted by the nicest employees as I walk in the door to check in, specifically a woman named Charlotte. She frequently assists me with whatever I may need (seeing as I am a new member) and brightens my day. This gym is truly a gift to workout in daily.

The gym is equipped with top-notch equipment, providing a wide range of options for every type of workout. Whether you're into weightlifting, cardio, or group classes, TMPL Gym has it all. What truly sets TMPL Gym apart is its extraordinary staff. In particular, there is a front desk worker- Charlotte- that is extremely friendly creating the perfect start to every workout. Can't recommend the gym enough.

Rachel is not only knowledgeable and professional but also incredibly friendly. Her warm and approachable demeanor creates a welcoming and inclusive environment. She goes above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and supported in their fitness journey. Rachel's friendly nature adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the workout experience, making each session a positive and uplifting encounter. I highly recommend Rachel for her expertise and her ability to make exercising a friendly and enjoyable experience.

I recently had my bag stolen from the locker room here (computer, keys, wallet, clothes) all gone. I get that things happen, but this review is for the experience with management. I sent them a picture of my bag, asked to check tapes so I can include anything in my police report and reach out. Not only did they never reach out, I sent a follow-up email asking for an update, any update, even a “hey we didn’t find anything”.Additionally, the front desk guy told me I should fill out an incident report where as the GM the stepped in and said there was no need for that because he got the information from me that he needed. Wondering if he was just trying to keep his incident number down.My experience was super disappointing. It was a terrible day for me and they couldn’t even send a simple email or look at tapes even after I followed up. Go to another gym or at least another location. West Village staff has been great but I’ll be finding a new gym this month.Update: they finally followed up after an entire week. Appreciative they followed up even if it took this long to do so updating to 2 stars.

TMPL Astor Place is a really great gym for anyone new in town. It's in a central and happening part of town and they have all the kinds of classes and gym equipment you can ever want access to. They're downstairs boxing area is amazing, it's so good I had to attach photos.They also have an infrared sauna, which is so much better than the standard steam room saunas. The locker rooms are clean and everything that you'd expect there is available to you, from mouth wash to razers.The staff is also super attentive and if you ever ask anyone who works there for help, they immediately help you. The front desk is always helpful and welcoming. Miguel and Rachel are rock stars answering questions you have about your account, Wi-Fi, or anything about the studio.But honestly, the best part about the gym is the neighborhood feels that it has, being new to the area, I know very little about the city. But members, whether if they're in the sauna, or someone you meet after a class, they're always sharing tips about the city. It's a really friendly environment and great for anyone new to the city.It's also like half the price of Equinox, has a better sauna, and more equipment and not as crowded during the morning or after work times.
