Very nice staff and helpful. I just joined. I was a member in PA and they have certainly impressed me so far. Anthony signed me up, and he couldn't have been more courteous.

The sign up process is great and short. There is no hassles and the employees get straight to the point. The employees there are helpful and kind. There are a large variety of equipment, there is even a 30-minute full body workout room which is great for a pre-work workout.

Terrible service! I live in Blacksburg but this is the closest location to my Mum when I visit. I have a Black card membership so I can bring her as a guest. Every time I’ve done so they’ve had a different (complicated and poorly explained) sign in process that is quite different from my home gym location. Literally changes every couple months. And the front desk staff is so rude!!!I really feel badly for people that think this is the usual gym experience— if this was the only gym near me I would never go!

I recently retired and as part of my retirement package/ plan G I'll be using Silver Sneakers. I stopped by the Planet Fitness in Newport News to see how I could seamlessly transfer my membership to the SS plan. I was informed that this particular PF DOESN'T PARTICIPATE IN THE PLAN. Personally, I think this is a lousy decision on their part as their web site states that many franchises do accept SS. PF should support the elderly population and accept this plan. If I'd of known this ahead of time I would have ended my membership just on general principal. A company that doesn't want me now didn't really want me when I joined. I understand that this is my perception of events and I don't understand how much they might make or lose but garnering customer support should be worth something. I'm fairly upset about this decision but another gym will welcome me.

Extremely friendly staff!!! Machines we're all working and everybody was definitely following the sanitizing rules and mask rules I felt very comfortable working out there and let me tell you that hydro bed is totally worth being a black member!!! Can't wait to try out the full body enhancement machine

I've visited this club two times, I'm a member in Richmond. This is a BUSY club compared to my home club. The staff has been very friendly on both visits and the club is kept clean. Bathroom and locker room were clean. Lots of machines and cardio equipment. The only downside, and you might want to consider if joining, is the availability of the Smith machines. There are people literally camped on these machines, doing an entire workout, and do not leave the machine during my entire visit. For some reason, this doesn't happen at my home club. My visits were between 8-9 am, probably a busy time. Other than that I appreciate the PF hospitality as a visitor.

I popped in on a whim as I had never been to this particular gym. I was welcomed and given a tour. Brian helped me. He was very friendly and answered all of my questions. I didn't feel pressured to join and genuinely felt like a valued 1st time walkin guest. After the tour, I joined pretty quickly as I felt this was the place for me! Lots of cardio equipment with social distancing in place. Equipment seemed maintained and newer.Overall, the employees seem very pleasant and laid back as well. They greet you , seem to enjoy working there and care about their guests from what I can see. Non intimidating workout environment. The massage chairs and hydrotherapy are a nice incentive. Thanks PFitness! Ps: can we get more mirrors on the other side of the gym :)

Cool place...staff is so helpful & friendly. I have been absent for some time because of 2 foot surgeries but nothing has changed for the worst only better. I am happy however disappointed that my trainer won't be training because he is the MANAGER!!!! I am sure the replacement is great too

They are always so nice to me when I come in! I love the tanning beds the workout equipment is always.in working order. I can come in and not feel like everyone is staring at me no judgement at all! Thank you for being my go to club!

Extremely poor customer service. I was charged the annual fee after I canceled my membership and now they won’t even refund my account!! I will never join this gym again and I will definitely not recommend it! Cleanliness sucks. Never have paper towels to clean equipment after use and parking is a complete nightmare.
