My personal trainer Joe is excellent!!!!! He literally built an entire program around my physical issues and in the time I’ve worked with him my whole life has improved drastically. He’s encouraging, fun and a safe space for me to unwind during our workout sessions. Simply the best and worth every damn dime🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🥰 …

I'm not a member here but my grandmother is and has been for nearly 15 years. She is part of the Renew Active program for seniors through United and we ran into some issues with her membership when she decided to return after several years due to Covid19. The Assistant Manager Christian not only remembered who she was when I called to assess the issue but he stated he's known her for years but went ABOVE AND BEYOND speaking with United and Membership Services to help me out and get my grandmother back into the gym.It was beyond refreshing to have someone not only be so kind and polite but to actively help solve an issue over the course of several days for my Grandmother. It's comforting to know people in customer service are still this way and particularly for seniors.Truly a wonderful person and if you come to Genesis for a membership, just ask for him to get the best customer experience, ever.

People are fine, employees helpful. But the equipment is super old, which isn’t that much of a problem but that mixed with the overall cleanliness of the building is not good. The men’s bathroom is disgusting and only one out of the 3 men’s stalls ever is actually in service. Would definitely give 4 stars if the cleanliness was better

Update on Genesis Cass St Omaha. Finally, after mass complaints about how run down this club has become, the wet area and mens locker room are being updated. No time frame was given on this project for completion and members are being told they can go to the Westroads location during renovations. So I called Westroads after my wife told me that she called earlier in the day and was told that she can't come to that location because she is only a " Gold" member. I called back to explain that we are limited on club use because of reno and were told we could come to Westroads. I did speak to a nice woman who did more checking on this for us. She was told by her manager that we could only use the areas that were closed at Cass St during our visit and we had to have a note from someone who worked at Cass St saying we could use the club and....there would be a $5 drop in fee since we aren't Platinum members. Again, I have been a member 20 years before Genesis took over. What a lack of customer appreciation and inconvenience due to long-term neglect by the Cass st club owner to invest in upkeep and maintenance. The young lady I spoke to did offer to give us a pass after seeing how long we have been members, but you would think that club managers would have worked this out to serve their clients in the Omaha area, but they dont have to because there arent many other options. Genesis is earning a terrible reputation in Omaha. And now I'm sure we can expect dues to increase. Which wouldn't be so agregeous if we and the money we contribute to this organization were respected and valued. If there was another option, I would leave.

Been coming here for about 4 years. Everyday it gets worse and worse. Nothing is ever clean, there is never paper towels to clean your equipment, members don’t take care of the equipment and the workers DEFINITELY don’t help that either. I have been hearing TRAINERS running around saying they aren’t fixing stuff here anymore because one they can’t keep up, and two they fix it and break it. It’s honestly such a sad gym at this point. Every member also gets charged an extra $45 twice a year for “equipment upgrades and fixes” and there is never anything knew here.I truthfully would not waste my money on this place and go somewhere nicer. Also the bathrooms are never taken care of. This place has gone down hill so bad…. Not worth the money

It's nice in the beginning until you go everyday and start to realize how terrible it is. There is always equipment broken and usually stays that way for days. Bathrooms are disgusting. I go early mornings right after they "clean" and frequently find hair and bandaids/trash covering the drains in the showers. I know for a fact the vents above the showers and hot tub haven't been cleaned in probably 2 years, they're packed with lint and dust which is why it smells bad. Next to the pool there is an area in the corner that I always go to cool off, sometimes I see the same piece of trash laying there for 3-5 days.Hope you don't plan on an early workout on the weekend. They continue to use the covid excuse and have limited hours, just to save money by being closed. The only reason I continue to go here is for the sauna. If you just want equipment to use DONT GO HERE!!!!!! I think planet fitness would be my next choice. And you want to cancel your membership??? Lol!!! Good luck!EDIT!!One year going strong on these broken sinks!! Was 3 now 4!! I love this place!!

Love the people here but sadly the cleanliness of the gym is atrocious. A large number of the equipment is not able to be used properly because it is broken or too worn down. Towels are never clean or ready to use. Machines and equipment is very worn and old. The place is extremely dirty. I feel gross stepping into the locker room.
