Love coming here due to the friendly staff and their black card spa. There is usually equipment readily available when I go with good music. The only negative I can say is if you're ever late making a payment the late fee is $15.00. A little steep.

I've been going here for almost three years now, and just a few months ago I upgraded my membership to where we can use other locations. But I am very pleased with this particular gym. It's clean and a good setup and a great staff. It's well worth the $24 I pay every month.

I love this gym! I hate going to an overly crowded gym where you have to wait for the machine or weights you need. Every time I have been in here it has been a good experience. Staff is helpful when you have a question and I love the fact there is a stand up tanning bed here so I can tan before or after I work out. Thank you for making exercise during the pandemic accessible and comfortable.

Wow! Thought about joining, but after reading some of these reviews, never mind. What’s more concerning are the responses by the “Planet Fitness Owner”. Responses are real vague and insincere, like a robot or something.

STOP PLAYING GAMES!Started with an initial fee of around $45, plus the monthly fee. Then one year later charging it again. STOP PLAYING GAMES! Charge whatever you want to charge monthly and stop trying to sneak "fees" into people accounts. Sneaky and unethical sales tactics !

great place! signed up for the teen summer challenge and everyone has been helpful, great selection of machines nd very beginner friendly, especially for someone whos never been to a gym before!!!

***This review is exclusive to THE FRIENDSWOOD location and not a reflection of all Planet fitness locations as I am a black card member and frequent this one since its close to my job and another location thats closer to home. In general i love Planet fitness as a company and what they offer, but the Friendswood location has a bad seed on their team who needs customer service training***I have been to this location a few times without issue, and usually if i have any question, the staff is friendly and great. However, this week I went to this location before a busy period and attempted to utilize the Red Light Therapy chamber, something I have used before there and at other locations as well. Unfortunately, when i went in, the machine would start then make a sound and stop, or start counting and talking but not shaking or illuminating which is not normal behavior for this equipment.I went to the front desk and a team member said she would have someone check it for me as soon as he returned from the restroom because she couldn't leave the front desk unmanned - totally understandable, and she was very sweet and helpful and apologized for the wait and also informed me that sometimes it acts that way when maintenance is due.Well, unfortunately, the individual she was waiting to come assist me was a guy by the name of ERIC. ERIC came to the counter, and she explained everything i explained to her, and without acknowledging me in anyway, ERIC just cut his own team member off to say " oh its probably just human error". I said " yes, it could possibly be human error, but i would appreciate if maybe you could take a look to verify or assist me if its something that has changed" (since my last use 2 weeks ago). ERIC rolled his eyes and with all the attitude in the world said " just press the buttons til it starts working... you DO know what the POWER button looks like, right?!" very rude and sarcastically. I informed ERIC that yes I do know and I have tried that approach prior to coming back out and asking for assistance. ERIC proceeded to get a sticky note and draw a power button, insulting my intelligence yet again. He then asked if i had ever learned how to use it in the first place, which again, i had and have used it there and at other locations smh. I told ERIC that if it is a problem to just have a look at what I am referring to, then maybe there is someone else who could assist me. ERIC again rolled his eyes, huffed and puffed and said " well both of us cant fit in the room at the same time"... to which i replied, "i can simply stand in the hall while you take a look", which in that moment it was abundantly clear, he just didnt want to help me or even check, he would much rather spend 20min on this back and forth. He finally came from behind the check in desk and walked to look at the machine. before even entering the room, ERIC said " oh well i have sensitive eyes, so i wont be able to test it" ...a fact i guess ERIC forgot until that very moment smh. He then went back to his original suggestion that i should "just keep pressing buttons til something changes, and i can call the front desk rather than coming up there if i still cant get it". I was over ERIC and his rudeness before this point but especially at this point, and made up my mind i would document the situation to warn others of ERIC and his rudeness. 5 min later, a different team member who overheard all my trouble with ERIC came over to offer some assistance and apologize for ERIC. I was able to demonstrate to her what it was doing and she saw what i was referring to and shut it all the way down, unplugged it, waited a little, then replugged it and restarted the timer. we were then able to get it to function normally. and i greatly appreciated her help with that, but how ERIC TREATED ME WAS COMPLETELY UNCALLED FOR. His blatant rudeness and disrespect was beyond some one just "having a bad day" and the interesting thing was, later after i finished working out, I saw another individual mention similar issues to him with the Red Light Therapy smh.
