From the minute I walked in the door I was greeted happy faces. Everyone I have spoken to that works there has been so nice, friendly, thoughtful, and helpful. Please save your money and don't let yourself being robbed by this so called family fitness. In 2018 I filled out the cancelation request form. The next month I still got charged. Went to the location and talked to the manager who said that in 7 to 10 business days my money would be returned. Not only it didn't get returned, but I gat charged again the following month. I stopped payments at the bank. Today I got a call from a collection agency telling me I owed 400 dollars to Texas family fitness. When I called the costumer service they said I never canceled. STAY AWAY

Shiny on the outside, horrible on the inside. I have had three bad customer experiences. Not opening on time. asked if I could change my plan and they wanted to charge me the fees all over again, and currently I decided to cancel and they want to me to pay an additional month on top of paying the first and last month along with the enrollment fees. Whats the point of paying for your last month and still have to pay for a 30 day notice??? When I called in to discuss and speek to someone they said it could be 7-10 business days until someone calls me back. There are plenty of other gyms to pick from for the price point they are at in DFW.

I used to love my gym but I think its time to look for a new one. The bathrooms are not cleaned/washed. Today I wanted to take a shower there so I could get started with my day only to get greeted by a cockroach. You can smell a space that has or hasn’t been cleaned. I can’t believe y’all can’t hire someone to clean the space at least once a week. The bathroom smells of mildew/mold. Instead of hiring a person who stands by the desk I would rather a cleaner. The machines aren’t as great as they used to be. Ellipticals are loose.. no massages anymore?

Very bad fitness to attend, I would rate it less than zero if I could.I attend this Texas family fitness a year ago to get a personal trainer, I paid by hour. Unfortunately they charge for an hour training but, in fact, the trainers would not spend more than 20 min with the trainees. So, I tried to cancel my training session and my membership. The staff member who did the cancellation confirmed for me that he did the cancellation. I stopped to attend the fitness since that date. After one year I discovered that the staff member canceled my training sessions but not my membership. I found myself need to deal with a collection company, they told me I have no options other than pay $320 dollars. After a fight and long argument with the collection company’s representative, I found that I have no choice other than pay $240 because the collector can not see in his computer system that I canceled my membership. Even though I called the collector from the fitness and I let him speak with one of the fitness’s member to confirm that I didn’t show up for more than a year.I lost in this fitness more than $500 because of one of their member’s mistake. The only thing that I got is sorry for the mistake!!!!!!!.

Went in person to cancel awhile back, I thought I cancelled, it turns out they were still billing me then sent me to collections for non payment, I talked to the collections agent and he told me he hears the same thing from everyone coming from this client. Turns out I needed to send them a written cancellation notice to properly cancel my account. Don't sign a contract at this gym, otherwise when you request to cancel they won't actually cancel your account and they will just keep billing you until you recieve a collections call.

I very much rely on the gym being open early at 5:00 am. I work downtown Dallas and need a good, long workout to be at my best throughout the day. This morning was very disappointing as the gym was not open at 5:00 am. I tried calling the number on the door, but no one answered. Same result when I called TFF's other Plano gym. The employee at the Richardson location answered, and was very kind, but didn't seem to know how to address the issue. I gave up around 6:00 am.This is not the first time this has happened. It used to happen more frequently even, but it's a good gym and the regular, hourly employees are so kind and welcoming. I'm not sure what the issue is here, but I've had enough. Now is the time to cancel my membership, which I anticipate being an ordeal. I wouldn't be surprised if they keep billing me for several months, considering the issues other reviewers have identified.I know employers are having difficulty retaining talent, and I certainly don't place any blame on the day-to-day staff at the gym. One would think CEO Wheeler or COO Johnson would put their own numbers on the "Call if the gym is not open" sign. That would demonstrate commitment to excellent service.To anyone reading this, please know that I don't ordinarily complain, and TFF is usually a good gym and great value. I simply can't continue to waste my time (and wellbeing) with such uncertainty as to when (or if) the gym will be open.

This place is great. I moved here a few months ago from Omaha and needed a new gym. TFF was my first pick and this location made me stay for good. Everyone is super friendly. There's a huge variety of equipment. Sandra is literally the coolest person ever. I don't even train with her, but one time she helped me with my grip on a rear delt exercise and completely changed the way I work on rear delts now!
