Staff is friendly but with the annual fee we all pay one would think they could maintain the gym equipment.

Vasa is very unfortunately the best gym in Provo. While their equipment is decent and the atmosphere is pretty good, dealing with the company is overwhelmingly frustrating. From a long-time member, here’s what to expect. Here are a few things that WILL happen because they happen by design:-You WILL be paying the cost of the (currently $20) premium membership even if you bought the cheaper one. Cuz fees. Especially if you don’t plan to have your membership for longer than 2 years.-You WILL pay at least $100 more on sign up, sign out and annually than what the $10 membership costs at face value.-The company WILL change website and/or app hosts at least yearly. You WILL lose your login privileges. You will have to call the company to make any adjustments to your account. You will have to wait on hold. It will take multiple days to work everything out.-If you wait until the last week of the month to cancel your gym membership, you WILL miss the deadline and end up paying for two more months (that’s the whole point of their poor system design). Count yourself lucky if you only lose out on one extra month’s worth of fees.-You WILL be billed for the month after you quit the gym (even if it’s the first day of the month). You just will, they tell you so on the phone call. It’s legal I guess. With all that said, if you’re an athletic, attractive, and motivated college student prepared for all of these fees and frustrations, you will enjoy the gym.

Vasa customer service is the worst to deal with. I’ve been coming to their gyms for 3-years and have always paid on time. I needed to move away from Utah last minute and for the last 3 months I’ve been trying to close my account and they continue to charge me. They also tried to charge me an early canceling fee but I’ve been a member for 3 years? The gyms themselves are generally above average but it’s not worth the headache unless you’re planning on being a member for life.

This gym is basically a scam, they lure you in with the low monthly membership price and then tack on all kinds of fees once you’ve joined. I was charged an “annual fee” of over $50 with no notice that overdrew my bank account and caused me to be charged an overdraft fee by my bank. Even though I was charged by VASA without notice and there is no record of this “annual fee” on my billing information page on the VASA app, the gym refused to refund me so that I could dispute the overdraft fee with my bank. They also tack on a fee if you decide to terminate your membership that comes out to over $90. I wish they were more honest about these fees up front so you realize it’s not just a $13 monthly membership fee when you sign up.

If you want a solid selection of free weights and cardio equipment, this place can not be beat. At $10/month it is way better than Planet Fitness for people into bodybuilding and Olympic lifting. Doesn't have tons of other amenities, but great if it's what you are looking for. Employees are nice and keep things clean.

Been going to VASA for a while now, at many different locations. Each one has it's own unique vibe, and this one deffinatly has it's own personality. Its smaller than most but has everything I need for a great work out. Yes it does get busy during peak times, but that just means you get to talk to more people.

I seriously love this location. Every staff member is always kind and friendly and willing to help you out. This makes signing up, checking-in, tanning, using the massage beds super easy! It's convenient and has whatever you need to get your work out in. It's an older gym but that hasn't had any effect on my workouts. I prefer to go to this location over others in Utah county because of the layout, staff and even though a lot of people go to this gym I never have a problem with equipment!

Average equipment, lower-than-average service, and TERRIBLE contract terms. My husband and I signed up during the summer, and Dustin told us we could pay $10 each or $20 for one of us with guest privileges. We have actually been charged $30 each month because Dustin did not tell us the guest privileges were an extra charge. (If you use a credit or debit card, the charge goes up even more.) We went for 6 months before cancelling to avoid the $25 early fee, but now we're paying $30 for another month because of the ludicrous 30-day cancellation notice policy. It's costing us $60 to cancel because we're being charged for two future payment periods even though we want to cancel NOW. You can sign up immediately--why require written 30-days notice to cancel? It's just a grab for members' money. When we called customer service to get it sorted, the person on the phone was completely inflexible and would not work with us. I would not ever join a VASA gym in the future because of a lack of transparency. Signs say that it's $9.95 a month, but then you find out about the $50 sign-on fee and the $50 charge three months after you join to "guarantee that your monthly rate doesn't go up." That's ridiculous. Charge members one single monthly rate with no hidden fees.

The 5 am staff wasn't the most lively, but great facility! All machines were current and well maintained, and it wasn't too crowded, either. People there are generally friendly and willing to help you out. I wish it had a sauna like some other locations do. Lots of parking space and food very nearby, which is also great.

As a corporation, Vasa is terrible with some shady policies and some very unprofessional employees save a few. Just so you have an idea, I arrived to the gym one day with a friend and there’s a chalk board with “Push- up contest” written on it. I ask the guy behind the counter for more info on this contest and he responds, “ what push- up contest?” I replied, “the one right there.” (It literally was a few feet from him and at the entrance of his workplace.)He just responded, “Dude, they don’t tell me anything around here.”It’s hilarious but I’ve had many other experiences with girls behind the counter not even knowing what a squat belt was when I asked them for one. Anyways as a gym at this location.....It’s a small gym but it has almost everything you need. Gets crowded sometimes but not often or like the huge vasas. They do need to start switching out dumbbells because a lot are broken and there are plenty heavy ones but not as many sets of between 20-30 pounds.
