It is different then alot of others. It has a partial football field and a wall target to shoot at.

Very poorly maintained equipment throughout. The ellipticals and other cardio machines need to be serviced. The weight machines are old. Some don’t work and others have rusted to the point where you can’t adjust the seats. The entire facility needs updating. The location is great and the place has plenty of room. A little investment would turn this place around. In its current state, not worth the monthly fee.

This gym has had a 1 hour workout window since they filed for bankruptcy. This whole time I’ve been planning my schedule to fit around this workout time.Upon coming into the gym today at 8am they have moved the workout time to 90 minutes with a starting time at 7. Which means I’ll only have 30 minutes to workout and then they’re going kick me out to clean for 30 minutes. Not only that but there was no notice sent out that they’re changing this. The only heads up was a red sign on their door. Extremely inconsiderate

I have had great experiences at 24 hour fitness in the following locations: Rockwall, Richardson (Coit and Campbell), Plano and various locations in Houston. I live less than 15 minutes away from this particular location. Although, I have always chosen to workout at other locations due to the poor quality of equipment in this location. I previously tried this place a few times and poor experiences were the absolute result. This was all before Covid 19 took place. After Covid 19 took place, somehow this place managed to stay open despite other gyms remaining closed. This whole review is about the unprofessional management at this location. I understand the importance and taking precautions due to Covid 19, but there is a certain way to handle people too when it comes to customers. The reason I chose to terminate my membership with 24 after 12 years is because of Chris, the general manager, who basically stated you can wear a mask or leave! Let's be honest; everyone removes their mask for a short period sometimes. I see their staff members do it all the time when I was at their location. If Chris would have handled the situation in a more professional and courteous manner, I may still be a member of 24. However, when someone is that rude I as customer have so many better options. Other staff members are very friendly at this location. Maybe Chris could take a lesson from them.

Have you ever heard of a gym where the air conditioner only works sometimes?? Welcome to 24 Hour Fitness Richardson, where the air is hot, the pool is filthy, the locker rooms are disgustingly dirty, and the staff could not care less.

Its called 24 hour fitness but the gym isnt open 24 hours a day. The close at 11 on Friday and at 8 Saturday and Sunday. So that means if you have to work late you need to drive 15 minutes one way to the location on Coit.

My wife signed us up for a membership that the sales person said "you can cancel anytime , there's no contract " , we have been very busy & haven't had the chance to go once to the gym , and they keep pushing us from one month to another , it's 8 months now & all they do is collect money & we haven't even used the facility once . BE CAREFUL

This place is not bad but always bring a towel. I've been going here three years now and their dryer is "broken" about 15% of the time. It's gone down eight times in three years now and it's usually down for two or three weeks at a time.

If I could do NEGATIVE STARS, oh man...DONT be like me. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried them out despite the reviews....People are dramatic, I thought... surely it’s not THAT bad... I was soooo wrong. The reviews don’t lie🤦🏽♀️😭😭😂😂Won’t be going back🤢 Tried it despite the reviews I’ve read on Google and yelp.there’s a sign, a handwritten, “out of order” sign on front doors AND at the front desk that lets everyone know they don’t have and won’t ever have towels. Well hell... but, Hey no biggie, I’ll survive. When I went to set up my free pass I waited 4ever for someone at front desk. No one showed. I walked to the lockers, back out to my car, and back inside and still no one showed up.Trainer finally popped up and said to just go work out. Ok cool. Whatever. Short staffed and busy, I assumed. It happens.Quite a few machines were on the fritz.Sucked but manageable..Worked out... got the blood pumping...went to sauna..I couldn’t believe it, but BUGS and by bugs, I mean ROACHES were literally crawling across the floor in the dry sauna.Icky but hey I’m a fast runner so ok...ThE showers were the final strike. No hooks to hang your stuff on, which totally sucked, bc 1)since this was my first visit and I didn’t know they didn’t provide towels at this location, 2) i did NOT bring my OWN towels, and 3) I am not totally comfortable flashing the goods to a bunch of strange ladies I don’t know... trust me they would not have appreciated it either 😂😂 But oh well, I’ll figure it out. No hooks? I’ll think of something else.Im a trooper. I could deal with no hooks for my stuff. but the smell... 🤢🤢that was unbearable. No exaggeration, but I had an upset stomach for a couple hours after I left this place. 🤮🤮Disgusting doesn’t begin to describe that torturous, eye watering stench. It was so revolting, so nauseating.... I couldn’t believe how literally sickly it smelled.there was slimy green booger colored gunk in the drain on the floor, all over the cracks of the wall and on top of and underneath the soap dispenser, on the wall ridges, and the stalls smelled absolutely atrocious. I tried to hold my breathe as often as possible because the smell was THAT bad. Fastest shower of my LIfe!If I hadn’t soaked my clothes in sweat from working out, and I wasn’t about to head to work, I would have said to HELL with THAT shower experience and saved myself the stomachache..., but that was a no- go. I really needed that shower.Every. Single. Stall. Smelled. Like a dead decaying moldy glass of milk and dead animals that had been rotting for days in the hot sun and then thrown in the sewer to marinate. This location really made me rethink if I want a membership here 😭I won’t be going back to this location. Even if they offered me a free membership.. NOT WORTH IT.

Got a 3 day pass. When I arrive the two people at the front desk just stare at me. After a few minutes I ask what I should do. They point to a kiosk- which wasn't working. The attendant let's me go in, no tour no instructions. I get to the locker room and cannot find a locker. I go back to the front desk and ask about how to use a locker. I was told not to use the locker if I didn't bring my own lock. Really? I have never been to a gym where no one cared to show me around and sell their services. Totally ridiculous. I will not be back.
