Super Sport club in Murphy TX will stop giving towels effective June 1, 2019. This is not how the contract reads for Super Sport members. I am asking the 24 Hour Fitness Management team to respond to this comment. The Murphy club rents the swimming pool for little kids swim class Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays so the members can not use the swimming pool. The same club also will no allow members to use Spa during the aqua class, but, will play the radio so loud. I believe the Murphy club violates many rules of the member's contract. It is time to hire a good attorney and ask him/her to look into the member's contract and figure out how many of them are violated by the club Manager and then file class action law suit.

24 definitely fell off over the years, took towels and are now chargeing extra for them. A way to cut cost, I guess. Equipments and weight are still good. Basketball floor is slippery and not clean regularly. Got to start cleaning the court yourself before playing unless you want to slip and slide.

Great gym. Never had a bad encounter with the staff, which is rare for a gym in my experience. Plenty of everything. The basketball court's walls are too close to the court and I actually permanently damaged my wrist trying to lessen an impact as I was saving a ball going out of bounds during a game. Of course that's partly my fault for making that decision, too. But a proper court has more space. I also think their main rims are an inch or two low, and the sun shining through the high windows is a serious issue because you get blinded during games all the time.

Absolutely ridiculous how this gym is getting rid of all towels on June 1st. They would rather all the equipment be soaked in sweat and sweat stains then provide towels. This is also unhygienic. Can’t even use the sauna or steam room anymore without bringing your own towel. I’ll be canceling my entire family’s membership now. Keep being cheap.

This place is a disgrace. They use the environment as an excuse to take away the towel service. They should just be honest & tell the truth. Their employees are too lazy to keep up with the service. This is the cheapest dumbest thing a gym could do. I’m sure they will lose business over this. BAD management decision. Instead of adding amenities you take them away. Get with the times! It’s 2019 customer service & reputation mean everything.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. If it weren't for some of the inconsiderate clientele I would give this place 5*. Too many people on their phones texting and chatting instead of using the weights and/or machines. I have seen people do 1-2 sets (due to phones) in the time it takes most people to finish half their workout. Every here is paying good money to get a efficient workout in and these individuals are taking that away from many of us. I may very well cancel my membership if this is not some how corrected.

Today (10/21/19), I already cancelled my membership here at 24-hr fitness Murphy, Texas (after almost 2 and a half years)...and cancellation option is the only option offered by the one who replied to my e-mail (assistant general manager) this morning.First, they will charge me at 50 dollar monthly (from 35) and it is not worth it at all especially for professional people. Why it is not worth it? The gym equipment are TOO OLD (not being properly maintained) and NOT being sanitized regularly (the way I observed it since I am on a medical field). TRUST ME WITH what I observed on gym equipment! Some areas are not clean too like the rest room. They don't provide clean towels anymore. Second, in my view for that past years, they only professionally treat right or accommodate those whom they knew (or a long-time member). My friend who has been in this gym for several years, he also observed that it is no longer the same good gym that is used to be. There are still other issues but it seems that the reply of the assistant manager did not focus on my 1st three complaints. So, for now, I decided to move on to a gym with newer equipment, with good clean sanitized environment, without group work outs in a single equipment and with professionally friendly staffs.

They need a face lift. Need to update equipment. Classes are good. Unfortunately some that go here don't know how to clean up after themselves!

My husband and I moved from Hawaii and on our 'to do' list was find a gym. When my husband met Khaled Elmasri, he knew this was his gym. I was a bit critical, then I met Khaled and I knew the same thing! Khaled is now my personal trainer!
