The gym is OK but some of the reviews here are accurate in that it is not worth the money. Very little in terms of lifting equipment and it's small.Further, I went in to pay for a one-month membership genuinely wanting to find out if I have the bandwidth to re-join a gym after we recently had a child and Mike Battle not only failed to listen to anything I had to say, but continued to try to get me to sign up for a one-year membership until I had to flat say the words, "I am not joining today."When I asked to sign up for a three day pass he said they don't have one until I pulled it up on my phone. He then told me I can't use it because I'm from out of town despite the fact that I had just told him we moved from West Broad Village to a house nearby. He clearly was not listening. There is a reason you're down 50% membership post-covid and have not regained those people. The PR-type responses you are providing to reviews here reflect the same lack of understanding that has many people frustrated.I used to work in sales at LA Fitness and was a 15-year member of Lifetime Fitness. This gym lacks in several areas including sales skills and amenities. I was told they themselves as a "smaller Lifetime" but that is simply not the case. If Lifetime actually comes to Richmond, acac will be out of luck.I found American Family Fitness to be better in terms of the gym and the staff. Straightforward and no games.

It's a nice gym. It's clean and staff is polite. They have sauna, two hot tubs . Pools are open throughout the year although covid restriction might affect the duration you can avail the pool. It's a little bit pricey but I find it as more of health club. They have trainers focused on helping improve your health.

Very nice club overall as long as you are not into seriously lifting. The West Broad Village location has one small circuit of strength and small free weight area. It’s more of an adult country club style club. The price reflects that too $$$$$.

What can I say? It's my main gym. Aquatics facilities rock. Always clean, nice staff, I hear the trainers/classes are excellent. Rooftop pool downtown is one of a kind. Hot tub at both Downtown and Albemarle Square are about perfect. Always smiling faces when you walk in. Love the place ❤️

Beautiful gym. Covid has taken some toll on the equipment in that the money is not there for upkeep. I think they are doing their best to take care of staff and customers. Looking forward to return of normalcy!

We've been members for 3 years now and come 5 to 6 days a week for the warm water pool. It's a great relaxing experience with great staff - positive attitudes and all very professional. We recommend ACAC to everyone we know.

As soon as you walk into the club, the front desk staff is inviting and friendly. Remembering me by name in the morning and always asking me how my previous day went! It’s more like friends then club employees and I LOVE THAT!Acac has done a fantastic job with equipment spacing post COVID and the fellow members of the club always do a great job of cleaning after they use something. The locker rooms are BY FAR the most beautiful club bathrooms in the RVA area!I 10/10 recommended working out and joining ACAC!

This is such a pleasant place to work out! The staff is great and there are plenty of treadmills. Very nice locker rooms and towels provided (big perk for me!). But those pools and hot tubs--THE BEST!
