This location CONSTANTLY HAS BROKEN equipment that STAYS BROKEN for months. The sauna is broken. Almost all the cables are broken. Multiple cardio machines are broken. They don’t maintain or care for the equipment.Very disappointed in the management at this location.Bathrooms are never stocked and are always gross. The front desk workers are always on their phones and don’t greet and say goodbye to their loyal paying customers. Horrible customer service.

Management is terrible. Doesn’t return phone calls or emails. The staff that signed me up never mentioned this $75 “maintenance” fee that would come up. Cancelling is extremely difficult for someone with health issues that can’t get back in person to use the membership to begin with. Instead of giving me the refund for December the staff rudely said “you can use the membership for the rest of the month” after I just finished telling them I am restricted due to doctors request. Stick to locally owned gyms that aren’t garbage franchise operated, they don’t care about members just numbers.

Been coming here for over a year now because we bought a house close by. I really dislike this gym at this point. First, the membership is nearly double what I was paying, there's no big fans which are nice in the summer so the air feels stagnant. The staff is not very friendly and overall it's not as clean as I'm used to at other gyms. Lately, there's several pieces of often used equipment out of order. What am I paying $43 for?! Going back to Chuze Fitness even though it's miles farther away.

If I could rate this gym a 0 I wouldn’t even give it 1 star. The pool is consistently cold. When the issue is brought to the attention of management, they reassure you it will be addressed. Which of course it never is. Maybe if they bothered to actually get into the pool to confirm how cold it is, they’d get the hint! Plus, the amenities such as the hot tub when broken, take weeks to repair. The benches in the locker rooms are old, worn out and rickety. You risk falling over if you sit on them. Shower handles and faucet handles to sinks also take weeks to months for repair.

This would be a nice gym if all the equipment wasn’t broken. I understand things being down for a day or two but these guys don’t fix anything. 4 of the 5 pulley tower machines have been broken for 5+ Days. The Sauna has been off for 5+ days. Get on guys!!

Quickly, this facility has deteriorated in quality in such a short time after opening. Whether it's bathroom sinks or equipment, something is always broken and filthy. For the amount you pay, you would expect way more upkeep and care. You can't help but feel a bit robbed considering how busy this gym can be and how consistently over time, the care and maintenance has consistently dwindled.Currently multiple of the same machines are broke as demonstrated with the out of order signs. I don't understand why staff do not discourage and stop people from incorrectly using weights and slamming them.

Dirty Defined Fitness Center. I use to work at the Farmington location. Very dirty compared to how clean we kept ours. To many employees standing around that could be wiping something down. We use to be cleaning something every 15 Mins. Just look at the dumbell rack, the sinks on the bathroom, the inside of the lockers... I could go on. Defined itself is great just needs some oversight at this location regarding attention to cleaning. In a world of covid you would expect more.

The new add on for the hydromassage is wonderful! Great place. N it is crazy cuz it doesn't have that typical Define Fitness vibes! Also I love how the sauna is in separate areas. There is a women's sauna in the women's area n vise versa. Love the family locker area which u can use if u need too which have private bathroom w a shower! Great pool w tons of windows! Friendly amazing staff! Daycare is there also! The two downfalls are members can't bring a person for free anymore, n u have to have a phone inorder to get in after membership- not the keychain chip opinion anymore which is a bummer

Jake and Glen are amazing! Glen took us on a tour of the club and explained everything thoroughly. I went back the next weekend and Jake explained everything about my membership. Defined Fitness is the best place to be! 😀 …

I have some mixed thoughts on this gym. For reference, I have been working out here six days a week on a push/pull/legs split for 5 months. I have a focus on powerlifting for lower body stuff and bodybuilding for upper body. As such, this review will be more targeted for people who take lifting seriously. However, the more serious people are generally going to be the ones that stick around the longest and define the culture of the gym as they are always there, so this review is going to be relevant to everybody.= THE EQUIPMENT =Pros:When it comes to machines, dumbells, and areas to do calisthenics, this gym its well equipped. There are three dumbell racks plus a full set of kettlebells. For lighter movements such as lateral raises, and even curls, I have yet to encounter a time where I couldn't find equipment. However, if heavy weight dumbell movements are critical to your routine you might have to wait a few minutes for a bench to open up in the crowded dumbell area. One thing that would be a nice, low-cost touch for the gym would be to add an adjustable ez-curl bar to the calisthenics area for strict curls. The plates are already there, and there are no adjustable ez-curl bars in the entire gym. Small thing, but would make a big difference. There are literally 5-6+ areas to do pullups, dips, and other calisthenics in the gym, so if thats your thing they've got you covered. Just dear lord, please do not do pullups in the power racks. Speaking of the power racks...Cons:There simply are not enough power racks to go around at this gym. This is something that is absolutely CRITICAL for a gym to provide. If you are a taller guy/girl who wants to take the squat seriously, the walk-in squat racks will not suffice. You NEED a power rack with adjustable height safety bars. Especially for newer lifters that haven't learned to properly fail a squat, there is a real risk of injury. I've trained guys that, on the first day, folded over with a single plate they swore they could handle and were only saved because the spotter pins were high up enough. There are only two power racks in the entire gym. (which is normally pretty packed.) When its busy its not unbelievable to need to wait 20+ minutes to wait for one to open up to start one's leg day. They definitely have the space the space for it, too. To make matters worse the only two power racks also have deadlifting pads attached to them which compounds the problem, people deadlifting and people squatting have to share the same equipment. The powerlifting area REALLY could use 2 more power racks than it already has.= GYM CULTURE =Of all the gyms I've ever worked out at, Defined seems to have the worst gym etiquette. I mean like, Planet Fitnes level etiquette. Some of the things I have encountered at this gym genuinely astound me. People will litter wipes, not return weights, make a mess out of the dumbell racks, stack 45s in front of 5s in front of 25s in front of clips on the pegs, leave barbells with multiple plates stacked on them outside for other people to clean up, I could go on. The other day I hunted down two 2.5 pound plates and put them on the bench rack I was using. Apparently, some guy just swiped them off my rack mid set without asking. Nobody seems to ever return the bar clips. Then, bizarrely, you will find caches of 6-8 clips lying in a pile...I am not sure how Defined could address this problem without directly confronting people about it. Coincidentally, Defined is also the most crowded gym I've ever worked out at. Perhaps the new location opening up will divert some of the traffic and make the gym less crowded. A sign in the outdoor area reminding people to return their equipment might make a difference.= CLOSING THOUGHTS =This gym definitely has a more "corporate" feel to it. Defined is a decent value for most people but struggles to cater to the more serious demographic. Adding two more power racks, or even upgrading the walk-in racks would go a LONG way. However, I feel that with time a lot of the issues can be rectified.
