I like this gym so far. Though I wish the swimming pool would be a bit deeper. 4ft seems a bit shallow for an Olympic swimming pool and the two available lanes are occupied in no time on a busy day. Machines are good.

This gold's gym has an entire room dedicated to spinning bikes. But they don't allow you to use them unless there is a group class and you join that group class. They have a single spinning bike on the floor with a broken seat. Every other bike on the floor has the toe straps ripped off and are not flywheel based spinning bikes. This has been like this for weeks. Would be nice if they allowed you to use their bikes.

The manager is a joke. So rude. I guess their customer service standards are low because it trickles down to the people that great you and the other staff. The only good experience I had with them was when I signed up... surprise surprise! Everything starts with leadership! I would never suggest this gym to anyone because of this!

Been researching gyms to join around town, was pretty convinced this was the best place. Walked in, waited at the counter. Nobody acknowledged me. So I sat down to patiently wait for someone to get me signed up. A guy in a button down acknowledged several people coming into the door. The woman working the front desk walked past me, made eye contact and kept walking. I sat for awhile, watched the woman walk over and start a conversation with a co-worker. I just got up and left after some time. I’m not sure what was going on, maybe an off day. Missed a super easy sale.

Much much cleaner than the other local options and good equipment choices.BUT the customer service leaves MUCH to be desired. Most of the staff currently there can't even bring themselves to even say good morning, ever, which is just rude and unfriendly in a customer based industry. My biggest complaint is the cancellation process, or lack therof. My daughter injured her foot and will be out of the gym for quite some time, so we've been attempting to cancel it for over a week.I was aware it needed to be processed 30 days prior to the next bill, so each day this week, I tried to do so. Every person there said they weren't authorized to do so, needed a manager. But the managers aren't there in the mornings when I am. I was also told I couldn't call to request or do online. So?I tried again today, while managers were present, to cancel and even though managers were present, was told they can't process a cancel on weekends.Ok, so basically we're stuck? Finally they said they could take the request today, and process on Monday-super. BUT since it's not within the 30 days, I have to pay another month. All because no one who is authorized to do so is ever there when I am and in the 21st century, there's no other way to cancel. Awesome.

They are awful! I would give 0 stars if I could. I was told I could do a 30 day trial and could cancel before a certain date and when I went in to cancel they wanted to charge $100.00 for canceling even though I did it within the time frame I was told to. The Manager told me that maybe I should read things before signing them. That is literally so unprofessional and uncalled for. They said I never completed my fitness follow up and that’s why I’m being charged. I only used the gym twice and was charged a total of $154.04. Just based off the customer service from the manager (Carey) alone I will never consider a membership at Golds Gym ever again.

I've been trying to cancel my membership for months. I cancelled back in February. Gold's lost my paperwork. They continued to try and bill me. I had to come back in and sign more paperwork. Then they tell me they will bill me an additional month. When I called in to billing, they didn't even have a copy of my cancellation. When I called into the gym, they said they only had a cancellation for my wife's account. I then had to email the manager with the photo copies of the last cancellation forms. They're still trying to bill me. I was told by management they would have to clear through corporate. If corporate couldn't find my previous cancellation, I would still be on the hook for the membership fees. So they lost the paperwork and they called me a liar. These people have very unethical business practices. Don't waste your money here. All they care about is milking their clients.

It’s pretty cool here, clean facility and pool with working hot tub. Most people who are ripped have been working out for a year or so, it’s all about commitment and how bad you want that perfect body. Yes it is a contract and you gotta pay attention to the paper work otherwise it’s a waste of money. Don’t look at others success but look at yourself, are you where you want to be?

****update****Read the canned response from the company at the bottom of my review It looks like it is computer generated as the same has been copy and pasted on many other reviews. as stated in my original review the people at this gym were great for the most part however the corporate policies are the same as they were in the eighties check other Gold's reviews same complaints and the same canned response.Same old business practices I did not join due to the reviews in google and Y**P they have The same business mentally as they did +/- 30 years ago. if you try to cancel they will "Lose your cancellation and continue to charge your card. The second star is for one of the salespeople and the manager that needed to answer my questions, however when I called to cancel my initial free membership the person on the phone tried to talk me into using him instead of the trainer the manager booked for me he ignored every thing I said and just tried to talk me into giving up some money. I am not mad as i only lost an hour of time. One other thing on their reviews when their is a response from corporate it is A canned, copy and paste withe only the customers name change. Their Social Media department is still using the practices from pre 2010 if you Google golds gym sucks posts bout them show up near the top of the list Dell and Sears wiped these sites around 2011 the sites are on the second or third page.

Always clean and managed well. Everyone seems fairly friendly when coming or going. I will say I am disappointed a gym doesn't have a children's playscape or slide for the kids, rather than TVs and video games in the kids camp.
