In-Shape Family Fitness

The child care here is fantastic. Especially if you are a mom and want your child cared for while you are working out. The classes are good, I do wish they had more classes around the 9:30 time that are weight lifting, but they do have them at 8:30, just any person dropping off kids at school cannot make this. The staff is very nice. The building is clean.

I've been a Cal Fit member since the early 90's. (giving away my age a little) This club is clean, less chaotic, and feels like the original neighborhood club that was on Elk Grove Florin years ago. The staff are friendly and keep busy cleaning the place up. I like that it isn't quite as big and crazy crowded as some of the other clubs depending on the time of day of course. Hopefully that won't change. The equipment is nice and the personality of the place is comfortable.

I love the set-up at this location; they have plenty of functional exercise equipment. The staff are exceptional. I instruct Triumph Fitness, a cancer recovery fitness program, out of this location and our participants love everything about this gym. I cannot say enough great things about it. I highly, highly recommend it!

Everything is evenly spaced. There's enough room for one or two person by each machine. I love that a lot! The employees are super friendly. They always greet me in the morning and say goodbye whenever I leave. They are also very helpful whenever I have questions or needs to be met. The kids club is awesome! I have a 6 year old that I am super comfortable leaving her in their hands. They are responsible and always let me know how my child is doing, bad or good. I love their input/comments about how my child did today at kids club. I've been at this gym for almost 2 years now. I don't think I'll ever leave. I almost feel like family here. ❤

Drove from Elk Grove to get out of the big city hussle and bustle. This Calfit has a really good vibe. Up to date equipment, clean, not crazy busy or loud, and a non intimidating feel. Love it!

California Family Fitness is a family Base gym I love this place is extremely clean all the staff are very nice and professional it's not a meat market definitely feel at ease with the wife and the kids at a great price leaving using facility in the summer time that kids can go swimming I would definitely recommend this place for a family that is athletic or planning to get in shape

Love this place. The facilities are always clean and the staff is always friendly. The kids absolutely love the kids center. Becoming a member was definitely a good decision.

Very expensive gym. Equipment is nice but not enough to justify the cost. Just drive down the road to Fitness Evoloution and save your money. Nicer gym, nicer people, much cheaper.

I’m giving it 5 stars eventhough it doesnt have a lap-pool;).The staff is cheerful and gung-ho. Always willing to help with and question, and lightning quick resolving problems (like a lost membership card).Equipment is comprehenive: aerobic machines of all stripes (great for a former runner like me in need if catiledge-friendly alternative for running), a remarkable system of resistance mchines called “Hoist” which are aaaawe-some! Cable machines, free weights, kette balls, an aerobis class studio + an amazingly useful “cardio theater”where youwatch a good flick while burning-off xmas excess. I also need to mention a series of eaily viewed large TV screeens near the cardio equipmen that allows one to wile-away the time watching programmed TV as a group, or watch individually on the TV screens attached to the machine you are using. Im a TV binger so I typically byring my iphone in and utilize their free wi-fi to watch shows i enjoy. Getting my entertainment fix while working-out deffinitely keeps me there longer, and keeps me showing up.There are also lockers, showers, and more but I havent explored them that closely. There is a bar for juices and other products Ive never consumed. Apparently one-on-one training is available, but again, i have not used. I will eventually, but for now, what i DO use there is more than adequate and sure makes the experience enjoyable.The clientel is very mixed in ‘condition.’ Many devoted, low-body fat athletes, but many more mom-types, and casual fitness seekers. Clients with limited mobility, physical challenges, work out right along side the rest of us, and it seems to reflect a healthy, no-judgement attitude/environment.Oh, day care! Free day care for kids! As a dad, this is a must! What a gift, and a solution for parents in need of time to re-center, burn-off stress, recharge!
