24 Hour Fitness in San Ramon offers a wide array of amenities and equipment. It's a large facility featuring modern fitness gear, multiple classes, basketball courts, a swimming pool, and more. However, user experiences indicate a mixed bag, with standout features like helpful staff and a spacious layout balancing against cleanliness issues and management concerns.

Frequent complaints about poor maintenance, overcrowded spaces, and the condition of restrooms show room for improvement. Despite its advantages, such as friendly staff and varied equipment, the gym's lack of hygiene and upkeep may deter some potential members.

Pros:

  • Open 24 hours most days.

  • Friendly and attentive staff.
  • Reasonably priced membership.
  • Spacious facility with two floors.
  • Includes amenities like basketball courts and a swimming pool.
  • Modern fitness equipment.
  • Wide variety of exercise classes.
  • Touch-free entry.
  • Ample parking generally available.

Cons:

  • Cleanliness issues reported frequently.
  • Overcrowded during peak hours.
  • Problems with maintenance and upkeep.

I love the Yoga classes here, especially Jim and Robin's classes. The weekend classes can easily get full, and they have implemented a ticket system, one would need to get a queue ticket to secure a spot in the class. The swimming pool is great here, with 5 lanes.

This is one of their larger locations, used tobe one of the best ones. Not now, men's locker room always screwed up, showers that don't work, broken shower heads, urinals very seldom work, any of them, broken gym equipment, that stays broken for weeks or longer. Lot of people working there, hmmm why? I do not like members who leave their dirty towels, but management encourages sloppy behavior by not caring for the gym. Worst 24 in east bay now. Equinox will love you tho.

I have been beyond pleased with the staff and atmosphere of this gym. Rachel is an excellent trainer, Melissa and all the girls in the kids club took wonderful care of my toddler twins and Brandon the manager was incredibly helpful. It is always clean and well maintained. They take pride in their gym and recently changed the carpet in the kids club, providing that they are truly customer first. I unfortunately had to cancel our memberships due to personal issues. The staff was completely understanding and did not try to pressure or guilt me into keeping a membership I cannot use. Brandon assisted me in getting refunds for my unused time and training, again without pressure or guilt. He followed up with me and has helped with my additional questions. I absolutely recommend this location and this company as a whole. I hope to obtain membership here again when circumstances change. We move frequently due to my husbands Military service and have had many gym memberships with other companies. This has been, without a doubt, the best experience we’ve ever had.

Great gym. Only went twice as I was in town for business. Only complaint was the cost of a one day pass was $24!

Have been coming here for over 10 years. From what I know it's one of the first supersport style 24 hour fitness. Gym can get a little crowded at times.

Perfect example of the chain great place to work out , take a break. Towel service is always clean. So far no “unhygienic incidents” as of my knowledge.

Car window smashed along with two other vehicles. They have video camera in the front parking lot, but from what the Police Officer told me, they probably dont even work. Spoke with a Steve or Scott (24 Rep). Apologies for not being able to do nothing at all. San Ramon supposed to be a safe and respectful city... Feel sorry for someone who gets mugged, raped or in my case have your vehicle window smashed on 24hr property, cause there is nothing they can do. Im from San Jose, never had my vechile vandalize at any other 24hr gym. This is garbage, since there quick to ask for dues and referrels but slow in helping members out. Shouldn't have to wait for the police to request camera footage, they should be investigating for their members for peace of mind. Done with this location

This is a very nice 24 Hour Super Sport. Towels, lockers, plenty of space, lots of modern equipment, and parking is NOT a problem, unlike many 24 Hour locations. Recommend this one highly.
