Lovely people at front desk. Always courteous and helpful. Pickleball courts are fun. Swimming pools are amazing!

This lifetime does not live up to the lifetime brand. I travel around the country and workout at lifetimes everywhere this one has weights everywhere, garbage on the floor, machines not wiped down, broken lockers, extremely cramped. I wouldn’t pay for a lifetime membership if this was my primary gym. First time I came here a staff member yelled at me for “coming through the wrong door”. There’s no entrance or exit sign indicated anywhere.

Went to the Schaumburg LifeSpa for the first time and got an amazing massage by Rachel! She made me feel at ease and helped melt away the stress I was holding in my shoulders. I can't wait to go back, highly recommend to anyone who needs to relax or recover (pretty much everyone)!

If you enjoy actually working out and becoming healthier while surrounded by likeminded individuals , this is not the place for you. Rather, I would compare it to if a level of Hell was incarnated into a gym that existed to keep you mildly annoyed at all times, while the experience slowly deteriorates in the smallest ways over time to gaslight you into thinking you’re insane. This gym used to be great. I’ve been a member since 2016 and have been coming to Lifetime before then as well. I used to love the environment, facilities, and people here. There was never any issues and I truly felt I got my money’s worth plus some. Within the last year and a half or so, I feel like the experience has rapidly fallen apart. They have continually raised the price, while ignoring many of the facilities and needs of the consumer. It’s great that you can involuntarily charge me more for the pool that I don’t and have never used, but it would be even more great if the weight machines weren’t broken for weeks at a time, cables were replaced in a timely manner, and trainers weren’t supersetting across multiple pieces of equipment during peak. I don’t even particularly care about the price increases, I’m willing to pay for a premium gym experience. However, when I can’t use the studio between classes, nor bring a small gym bag with me that has never been a problem before because of “recovery equipment” they don’t want stolen (I’m assuming this is knockoff Theragun garbage you can buy on Amazon for like 30 bucks from China), nor get a workout done in a timely manner due to the increasingly limited/broken equipment, it begs the question of if this is a premium experience anymore.I can’t imagine being someone new to working out/fitness trying to workout here, I’ve heard from multiple people that they’ve cancelled their membership due to simply not being able to workout as a result of the limited facilities in a timely manner. I’m patient and will workout regardless of the time constraints because it’s enjoyable, but man can this place make you grey in the hair with all of the new red tape, increased prices, and general staff malarkey that occurs day to day to annoy you.If I was recommending gyms for someone, at this point I would not recommend this club. The Bloomingdale facility was nicer and less crowded when I went there for a time, and you can get a similar experience sans the clam chowder pool for 1/3 of the price out here in the ‘Burbs. If you’re more serious about bodybuilding/powerlifting , America’s or Surge probably are much better options. If you’re just doing cardio/light weights, you could get like 3 memberships for the price of one here elsewhere.I would like to see this club return to when it was better. It was a place where serious bodybuilders, suburban moms, and the elderly could all get healthy and achieve a great workout in a synergistic manner. Now, at at this point, it’s just like any old corporate gym.

I have been to many lifetimes, and this one has one of the most unwelcoming front desk people. They didn't say Hi, not even a smile, you are representing one of the TOP gyms out there in my opinion, make people feel welcome. Just observation from being on the bike for 30 min and not one HELLO I saw.

I have been a loyal member since long time at lifetime and never had much complaints. Lately, They have been increasing price every year since last 3-4 years now. They do not care about their loyal members. When confronted Stacy Brown she said to go elsewhere if I don’t like it here. She also said she is doing me a favor as my rate is very reasonable compare to someone brand new to lifetime who pays $140/ month. Is this really the answer as a GM for your loyal clients ? They really don't honor loyal members who stuck by them during COVID and even before COVID, and treat members like numbers. Before Stacy Brown there were previous GMs who handled these price increases much differently and effectively with respect for their loyal customers and always provided some sort of accommodation / promotional offers / pricing relief to help with the overall increase and make their loyal customers feel valued. Price increase is minimal but it has been happening every year since last 3-4 years now. I understand the current state of things with high inflation and all but why penalize your loyal clients who have been at lifetime since last 15-16 years. When I had joined lifetime 16 years ago I truly believed in your motto which was “Lifetime”. They need better GM at lifetime who knows how to handle these situations and speak with loyal members politely and respectfully. The service has gone down since last few years as well. Half of the time their Sauna and Spas are out of service waiting for technicians. If they can justify price increase then members should also get prorated credit for days their spas/ saunas are not working. When I talked to Stacy about this she just said I can go elsewhere if I don’t like it and there are other facilities I can use if Saunas and Spas are not working. Lot of people come to lifetime for sauna and spa. Regardless, That’s just not the way or attitude to treat anyone. You should remember you are in service business. I have so many friends who go to lifetime and never had a problem until now. I will personally ensure everyone knows about this experience. My recommendation to all the new members thinking about joining lifetime, until their GM gets their act together and starts valuing their customers I would not join this gym. There are much better options out there for the price they are charging. I will give it another 2-3 months and see if they are serious about making some changes and start valuing their customers.

Went in last week to renew my membership dealt with young lady named Erin who claimed to be a manager! Tried to explain my silver sneaker benefits. She told me my membership didn’t include the pool pass which would be an additional $75.00 . She was very curt and unprofessional an inept at benefits. I have been a longtime member but was completely put off . I manage the Elite Networking group in Schaumburg and I will make sure that our 10000 followers are apprised of what to expect at Lifetime!

I agree with the recent reviews saying this club has gone downhill recently. Be careful when signing up for personal training they say it's a 30 day cancelation but it's effectively a 60 day cancelation policy.
