Went in to get info on the club. Before I was even allowed to tour the facility I was pretty much told the gym was not for my family. Was not explained what other activities were available for my kids. I understand if the fitness center has certain policies with certain age groups, but let ME determine whether or not this is best for my family. We were going in with hopes of doing something as a family. The interaction was very uncomfortable for us almost like we were racially profiled. Thanks Lifetime!!! Great way to do business in the Schaumburg community.

I'm going to try to make this review short and sweet but I'll save you members the time and recommend you to never come to this lifetime location again. I've been going to this location for 3 years and once Stacy Brown became General Manager, I've been hating my experience here for the past 3 months. She threatened to band me from this location on some random day when I was playing basketball with the guys and I felt very uncomfortable the way she approached me and tried to scare me with a final warning from getting my membership there terminated. Save yourselves a headache and go to the Life Time in Vernon Hills. Definitely worth the money and is making the Schaumburg location look like a joke.

I love lifetime, but every time I visit the pool my day is ruined because of their manager. I went inside the sauna and left my sleeping baby right in front of the sauna so I can see through the glass, it is about 15 feet between me and my baby. So she kicked me out by telling that my baby was not supervised. I said I am right here and I see her. Nope, she still insist me leaving the sauna. I was so embarrassed, but other people inside said do not worry, she is very picky lady and advised me just to ignore her.

Beautiful facility and really nice outdoor pool for families. I’m giving it three stars because after listening to some of the camp counselors talk their kids today, I’m really disappointed. I get that being in charge of a group of 5 year olds is tough- I’m a mom. But if I was paying for camp only to have counselors shouting at my kids like they were in the Marines, I would ask for my money back. Even my kids looked at me a few times, wondering why everyone was yelling. It made us a less fun experience today.

2/5 is generous, l paid for a day pass that was $30. As active duty military I believed it was going to be a place for me to do some strength training while back home. I gave it the benefit of the doubt but as a serious lifter, this isn’t a place for you to go heavy at. Barbells rotate easily, this shouldn’t happen. The workout area itself is very cramped, patrons do not feel gym etiquette is required. They leave plates on the barbells and rarely, if ever wipe down equipment. I’m not the stingiest guy when it comes to wiping it down, but at least re-rack the weights.

If you are interested in Yoga this may not be the best place to find a quality experience. The rest of the classes are acceptable. The problem with the Yoga classes is that the Yoga Studio is stuffy and smells strongly of sweat and chemicals. There is no way to vent it as it has no windows and it is a very small space. Studio 2 was a much better experience as it feels airy and clean. For this reason I decided to quit this place.

CURRENT MEMBERS, PLEASE READ!As many of you know, the benefit of your loyalty is your grandfathered rate. I became a member of LT in 2017 and have always fulfilled my duty of paying them on time. In August 2021, I placed my membership on a student flex for $15 a month, where I was told that I would have access to the club on holiday breaks. I would also avoid any starting fees, and secure my current dues. I was a broke college student, but I paid this fee, thinking my dues were secured (based on what member services said). What they should have mentioned was that any changes to my account would affect my current grandfathered rate.In May 2022, I came home for the summer and was told that my membership dues went from $75 a month to $99. I was being treated as a new client. I want existing members to know that Lifetime doesn't care about your loyalty, nor do they hold their employees responsible for misinforming clients. Tim the concierge manager was great, he worked with me and gave me a rate of 89.00 .... and 5 weeks later as of 7/1 my rate was raised again to 94.00- he spoke to the club manager Stacy (she's not pleasant) she declined my request to have my dues reduced back to 89.00. My monthly dues changed 3 times within 5 weeks.IDK who trains these people, but the service is sad. You guys need to take notes from Tim. Literally, the only person at that location who understands that a conversation with a client isn't about being right, but about listening. I truly just want to make you all aware that Lifetime is doing anything to get more money out of you. Many members I know are on the fence of leaving. I've heard many complaints about the new $30 for outdoor pool access. It's getting out of hand.Anyway, if you read this, thank you!I gave them an extra star because of Tim!!

The workers here are trash. If you are friends with them, they’ll let you in for free and even your friends (as many times as you want). I come in and I already used my two guest passes, but i thought if they let their people in for free, then why can’t everyone? The Hispanic girl at the front desk with a yellow blazer (??) was very rude. She started laughing in my face for a question I asked. I don’t know why little kids get hired for a simple job they can’t even do. The rest of the workers at this location are nice though. It was just this girl that was rude. I don’t think I’ll be coming back anymore because of her.

I am very disappointed with the lifetime pool we use and we are paying a lot of money for it. Instead of having a nice time on it, we must always have an unpleasant incident. The service is terrible. Rescuers who are employed there are not trained adequately to fulfill this role, they are rude and never smiling. When it comes to water slides, it is never open on time and if it is, there will always be a problem. the young staff who work there will not fulfill their duties properly and most of them hang out in a small room instead of actually watching the situation at the pool. I do not recommend it to anyone and suggest avoiding this place

I'm a member at multiple gyms and the amenities here are definitely the best. Having said that, I hate working out here. Machines/benches are usually taken by groups of people "holding" machines with towels or water bottles. Weights area is always crowded, and the alpha wannabeez are always checking you out to figure the hierarchy and where they fit or where you fit. I only give it a high rating because it just feels nice in there, I come here for the pool and swimming lessons for my kids. Having them swim and me being able to use the hot tub and sauna sure beats staring at my kid through a glass, waiting for the lesson to be over. It's a nice gym and you can get a good workout if you blast your headphones and stay in your world. If that's the case, just workout at home or another quiet gym. This gym is more for people who like attention and like to dress to the 9s for a workout. If you're looking for a great swim school experience for both you and your child then this is definitely the best for that.
